  • Two titans of the action industry have left us this week. Michel Julienne and Grant Page were two extraordinary professionals who gave so much to the genre of action.
The Julienne family, under Remy who left us in 2020, have been at the forefront of vehicular stunts since the early sixties. It is safe to say that many of the worlds stunts performers have been influenced by Remy and Michel. His work can be seen in Bond films, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, A View To A Kill and The Living Daylights - plus none Bond outings as coordinator on Taxi and the Transporter movies to name but a few.
Grant Page, after leaving the military went into the film business and continued to create action previously thought impossible. His work on pictures like Mad Max, The Man From Hong Kong and Stunt Rock are the the stuff of fantasy. A great loss.

Damn......Both legends. The Julienne family should be REQUIRED viewing for ALL MOTORHEADS.Grant Page....."Death Cheaters", "Stunt Rock", "Mad Dog Morgan".....this one is tough. These losses give a poignancy to your Oscar plea, Jon. Prayers, condolences to both families and the stunt community.

RIP to both of them. I well remember the Dangerfreaks episode where Grant does the thing on the train. The narrator said he purposely measured how far out to put his foot just to give the audience a scare. I don't know if that's true or not, but if so... wow. Loved Dangerfreaks as a kid.
    Cheers.

Grant Page was one of the best stuntmen ever. His TV series Dangerfreaks and his work on the film The Man From Hong Kong inspired me to get into stunts. Of course he did so much more - well over a hundred film and TV credits. Grant's career was so long he got to work on Patrick (1978) and the Patrick remake (2013)!

    That was in 1984 "
In one of Peter Brock's Director specials from GMH

If it hit his foot, he would've been dead. It would've taken his leg off, but then Grantly had many times in his career where he survived by the lack of nine lives and that's about it.
