I have 1hr and 30 mins of steady state awaiting me on the erg tomorrow...you posted this at the perfect time! I know these probably don't get you the most clicks and traffic but love these videos.
You’re very fortunate to have such a brilliant stretch of water to row on (except when it freezes 😆). Nothing beats a long steady state row in the single during winter especially when it’s dry - okay, the hands won’t agree. Raced at Monmouth last weekend and it was in flood and so too is The Severn - oh for a straight mill pond canal 😎
I love how peaceful these rows are. On a side note, If I wanted to get coaching, should I fill out the interest form or should I just schedule a consultation?
Was a good session! I do the balancing after I push off most days, just to check in with myself and the water conditions. It has evolved over time to become a part of my training
What were the air and water temperatures? I row solo here, but the body of water is a lot bigger (Puget Sound). Sure, I can row close to shore for most of it, but then I'm dodging buoys and moorings. I generally don't go out in my racing single unless the sum of the air/water temperatures is about 95F (35C). Safety first, the ergometer is always in warm conditions.

If people continually use them then over time they can perform reasonably well!
Enjoy your session 😊
so chilling thx

Definitely! Never floods and wind doesn’t affect it too much. Like you said just the frozen part can be an issue this time of year!
Just getting to the water is a workout in its self!
Love these. Keep them coming, and all best with training!

Not much going on!
You can do either. Some people don’t like phone calls!
Sublime, thank you
You’re welcome
What a row!
Great video portraying the “day in the life” of a single sculler. I really liked your water warm up/balance drill. How did you develop this?

This is Falcon
I wanna do this, this is all I need; silence and solitude while rowing.

Air around 3 degrees and water probably not far off

What distance are you covering here?
Just about 16k
You are wearing a busby?
