Dre said when he wanted to sign Em people thought he'd lost it. Dre signed him anyway because he saw a huge talent that was totally fresh and unique. Guess it pays to trust your gut!

This will always still be my fave Em album. I was 23 when this came out & already a huge hip hop head. I liked sslp, but it didn't elevate him to 1 of my favorites until the combo of this with 8 Mile soundtrack. This just hit me different..
