Every time I play this game I love it even more. I really loved exploring Wall Market but I cut a lot out because I wandered for so long lol. It’s still a long episode even with the edits so I hope you enjoy! 00:00 Intro 01:09 Sneaking Out 10:31 Chapter 9: The Town That Never Sleeps 1:06:44 Off to Wall Market 1:19:34 FAT CHOCOBO 1:43:52 To Corneo's Mansion 1:49:02 The Trio 2:02:35 The Corneo Colosseum 3:12:06 Final Thoughts
The fun part of the game let's goooo. I find Cloud and Aerith so cute when they were both having a hard time separating from eachother. Well luckily she found a way to stick around. 🤣
Aerith: "I have a backup route for emergency, and it's safer too!" Why didn't we go that way you ask? From Ultimania for Remake (a book with extra information and script for the game): "Cloud is thinking both 'of course she does' (have another route) and 'She got me' at the same time. He is not taken back by it - rather, he sees it as her way of wanting to spend more time with him. Cloud smiles, Aerith gives him a mischievous grin in return." So yeah, Aerith lead him on a longer path to spend more time together ☺️
1:06:40 You get another dialog if you choose(if you care about those) "Not yet", Aerith calls him a softie. I am loving your playthrough of this game so far! I got episodes to catch up!
The music that plays during chapter 9 when Aerith escorts Cloud is so incredibly great. It’s called “Midnight Rendezvous” and it’s my favorite piece of music from the remakes. It has everything from tranquility to romance to adventure.
"Under the Rotting Pizza" was the soundtrack title for Wall Market's og ff7 theme (new version heard at 41:58). Midgar itself is the "pizza" of course, being circular and segmented into slices. 😉
This game makes me cry 2 much ❤ its so powerful! Wethere you know whats happening or its your first time theres some crazy foreshadowing and past reflection stuff that they just knock out of the park! But its all about the music at the same time haha
People might think Cloud's biggest enemy is Sephiroth, but his real enemy is anything that makes him look uncool. Such as flower baskets, missing high-fives, not having a sassy one-liner at hand and so on
This chapter is the best (and it’s not even over.) So much entertainment and fun. Even if Hell House can be frustrating. Also tons of character development with Cloud paying off with the high five at the end of the boss fight.
Hell House is probably my favorite fight in the whole game. In the original FFVII, it was just a random enemy that could appear in areas around where this chapter takes place. Everybody assumed that it would probably be cut from the remake because it was just too goofy, so you can imagine the surprise when it was not only in the game to begin with, but they made it into a huge spectacle of a boss fight.
Great gameplay 🎉🎉, I'm loving following your journey. I discovered your channel in your first Final Fantasy 7 video, and I must say, at first I thought you were a cool but cold streamer, but as you relaxed more with each video and got more attached to the game, you can clearly see your emotions regarding the music, story and characters, especially with your mini dances on the chair. This Final Fantasy 7 remake trilogy is going to be a spectacle. If you want to go after other Final Fantasy games in the franchise that are also wonderful, I recommend Final Fantasy 16 and 15. And if you don't have a problem with turn-based combat, Final Fantasy 10 and 8 are a spectacle. All Final Fantasy games are very emotional. Two other streamers tried 10 now, and even though it's turn-based, which isn't their preference, they loved it a lot, because of the characters and story.
I love 10! Played it when I was in middle school on my ps2. I’ve watched many other streamers play it as well, it’s such an amazing game. And 16 is for sure on my radar now that it’s come to PC!
1:20:44 Fixed Damage refers to anything that deals a specific amount regardless of your Attack or the enemy's Defense stat (or the Magic counterparts), e.g. the Grenade item does 200 physical damage. Proportional Damage is similar but it deals a % of the target's current HP; there's an item you'll encounter later that can cut the target's HP by 25%. More importantly, the enemy intel that Assess shows you changes in real time! If you press the touchpad to bring up the intel again while Fat Chocobo is staggered, you'll see that its physical damage resistance disappears. Likewise, if you check Hell House while it has an element active, the intel screen will show you what it absorbs and is weak to. You'll encounter more bosses that do this in the future, so it's a good thing to keep in mind. 2:22:30 Just FYI, Infinity's End isn't worth it if the target isn't staggered. Not only is it really easy to miss, it'll do noticeably less damage than two Bravers. If the target is staggered, its power (before considering the 160+% bonus) almost doubles. 2:23:55 Cloud's Deadly Dodge is a two-hit combo. You started doing it there (you can tell because the first hit is perfectly horizontal), but needed to press the button a second time instead of holding it. He'll do a similar spin on the second attack but it pulls enemies inwards instead of pushing them away. It wasn't going to work on those guys anyways, since they don't flinch while they're drugged up, but it's great against groups of weak enemies since you can bunch them up for collateral damage from Triple Slash, Braver, spells, Aerith's Sorcerous Storm, grenades, etc.
Thanks for explaining fixed vs proportional!! Plus everything else here really helped clear my questions up. As for assess, I have thankfully figured out how to look at pre-assessed enemies with an Xbox controller since this video! Game changer.
Basic rule of thumb, if its human, its weak to fire. If it is a machine, weak to lighting. If it is a monster, usually weak to ice. If it is flying, then weak to wind. Of course bosses are the exception like Rude being weak to wind even though he is human.
Pressing whatever button you press to open the map in combat will pull up the assess data for that enemy. So if you've assessed them before, you can remind yourself of its elemental weaknesses and ways to preasure it. Your assess meteria assesses all enemies now that it's levelled up, so dont feel the need to assess every different enemy in multi enemy fights.
A few tips. If you press L2 out of combat you can cycle to minimap display which I think you may prefer. If you press the touchpad in combat you can see data for enemies previously assessed. You get the most out of green materia when paired with blue materia. The slot must be a linked one e.g. O=O not O O. When done correctly it will have a glowing outline. Element (green) + elemental (blue) adds enchantment to attacks if put on weapon OR armor (reduced damage). Magnify materia is overpowered. I would personally go for materia slots over everything else, as this is how you get powerful. Materia not equipped won’t get AP and higher tier spells will never be unlocked. Use weapons till you max proficiency and then move onto next. More abilities means more options in combat. Triple Slash on Cloud is very useful when facing multiple enemies. In this game you miss out on abilities or passive benefits/effects from yellow & purple materia respectively if focusing just on raw damage and defence (accessories). Materia is the way to go. Cloud’s Nail Bat can unlock slots too.
Assess. For enemies you can click the playstation controller touchpad and it will bring up the Enemy Intel screen in battle at any time, you don't need to assess again.
@cloudsi I'm sure people would tune in 😄 Especially since there a few instances in Remake and Rebirth where there are multiple outcomes to the same scene.
Hell House is a rough one 🤕 but you did get it on the first try, good job. Can really see Cloud evolving here, with the help of Aerith, but what are those headaches... 🤔😉
This game makes me cry 2 much ❤ its so powerful! Oh you nissed out on luxury course but of course you gotta see them all i suppose but money in this game is whatever youll always have enough for whatever

I love the music at 11:32, Midnight rendezvous. I love just sitting in my recliner and think about life to that song.
It might be my favorite song so far!! It’s stunning. I was actually speechless when it played for the first time
1:07:35 Indeed, a very "refined" dress, *wink wink*
Is this game written in the stars for you?
Cloud-Cloudsi
Claudia-Claudia??!
That’s what I’m saying! It was actually written for me specifically

Something to consider-- It's very worth reacting to videos of the other massage courses. The other choices are more memorable/wild, especially luxury.
I'm definitely going to once I finish the game! I'd like to react to all of the choices throughout actually
Assess.
For enemies you can click the playstation controller touchpad and it will bring up the Enemy Intel screen in battle at any time, you don't need to assess again.
Thanks! I’m using an Xbox controller, so it’s a bit different, but thankfully I’ve figured out since this video was recorded
@@cloudsi Nice! Sometimes I don't know how helpful are the tips in the comments since by now maybe you already beat the game or something lol.
If your not sure if you have already assessed something you can press the big pad button if your on playstation controller .. it will show you
Also linking blue materia means you need a linkable materia slot first which is usually on the weapon itself or obtained through enhancing
