I'm really impressed at how well you characterize this organization. To be so full of themselves to believe that humans are inherently better than Pokemon, that they deserve to usurp the literal gods of their world because they don't 'deserve' to be in charge, and to be so disillusioned that, in an effort to prove humans should run call the shots, create ultra powerful *Pokemon* with the goal of making them stronger than their world's deities, then witness these creations rebel and surpass them, staring their own downfall in the face, and go 'Nah, we just need to try harder, there's no way we're wrong here'. These guys are gonna end up going the way of Cinnabar Lab. And that would be the best case scenario, cuz the creatures they are creating could do so much worse to them.
I always was surprised that the canon games hadn't pulled something like this yet. I mean, we've had all sorts of trios, why not one of body, mind, and soul?
I think a corrupted Unown could be very interesting. Imagine the researchers trying to figure out what separates the various forms of Unown, and in the process, they discover something no man was meant to see, something ancient, perhaps from the very dawn of creation, something unknowable...
I love how Regimind's entry in the video is where th truth seems to slip up on the poryco beliefs. just that quick "We're the ones to lead, thats how it is because we all say so, any who say otherwise, we'll get that sorted out" It's unnerving and really interesting. Also really cool idea of a Regi essentially controlling other pokemon to fight you like a trainer, which given it's creation, likely is. Honestly given the prompt, I kinda wanna make a Fan Regi now for it.
@@thesterninator trust me way too many RUclips gate keep how to do the style like it'll ruin their lives if they spread the word Heck if you Mads a video on that it'd be nice to get the play by play (tho you don't have to, you've done more than other people and made good content on top of it)
As great as this video was I could only think of one thing... The funny noise all Regis do and here is what I came up with for these three. Brawn noise: ( try say this with a lot of bass) BRUUUUUUH BRUUUUH BROOOOOOM! Ghoul noise: (try say the first half of ghoul but like a zombie/ghost fusion) GhoooooooGASPSOULM Mind noise: (Dubsep, just dubsep sounds unless it does a mewtwo and talks with it´s mind)
If you pause at 12:34, you can see... something. Now, I don't know what this is, but if you look at it more closely, there's the body parts of each Regi in the video combined into one entity. It has Regibrawn's big burly arms, Regighoul's haunting body, and Regimind's bodily details. Whatever it is, it's possibly an amalgam of all three Regis.
The interpretation of Missingno as an entity comprised of just a Soul is very fascinating and i will continue to think about the implications of that thank you
A blank soul, something that shouldn’t be able to exist in reality, since souls came before mortals were created to hold them. So, a soul without a bearer existing independently is, by definition in the Pokémon world, a glitch. Maybe Arceus accidentally let one fall from the heavens, or maybe it’s the now scoured soul of some poor fool who crossed Mewtwo, and got the entirety of their sense of self erased. Or maybe…. It’s just garbage noise.
I have an idea for your percolating. A Pokémon based on mistletienn, both the legendary giant slaying sword, and the tree parasite plant that we use for Christmas for some reason. It definitely sounds like something these pompous scientists would create, especially with the whole “ the essence of defeated giants became this plate”. In their greed, the scientists decide to create a creature to take this essence from the “giants” by force, maybe using some form of energy manipulation. But the second it gets a taste of divine essence, it realizes what the humans are doing, and strikes back. It’ll hang out in a random garden, under a tree with an apple, y’know, forbidden fruit and all. Maybe this creature you make could be a serpent.
I've absolutely fallen in love with how you render these. They're so accurate to the Pokémon style, but still have such a distinct identity! On the topic (If you're reading this) have you/do you plan on making a video about how you render your Pokémon? I'd love to study your style!

In regions of Fallout, they're home to mutants that are in the post-apocalypse and both robots and humans who already survived. But before the character design starts, they're also 3 Starters you have to encountered first. The Grass/Bug-Type Starter resembles a Mole Rat. Of course the Bug-Typing make sense for Naked Mole Rats have similar behavior for most bugs such as Ants and Wasps. But how exactly do you make it Grass-Type you may asked? Well, they're plants that are named after insects (Especially Ant Trees that are invasive in South Africa). As for the hidden ability, Strong Jaw is too obvious. I mean, I can imagine it can use a Crunch version of Snap Trap. The Fire-Type Starter resembles a Radtoad. Based of a Fire-Bellied Toad also? No problem. And like Tepig and Pignite, the Thick Fat ability may reflect on how Radtoads resist both Fire and Cryo. Lastly..... The Water-Type Starter resembles a Hermit Crab. Yeah, it's too obvious when you see the real-life kinds in the beach. But the only unique hidden ability is Steam Engine. Particularly it's because of the broken vehicles what those Hermit Crabs have as shells.
@@thesterninator Oh. Glad you asked. Ahem....... Awoken the sleeping giant, Regioactive (Part Regi + Part Radioactive) is a cluster of metal and nuclear waste hence the Poison/Steel-Typing. Stern, I like what you were going for with the Regis and these were all really creative takes, but I feel someone has to say this... Regibrawn looks like a uterus. I gotta be honest, if it wanted to challenge people once a month to a fight, I can probably understand why.
@@VolleyCatGaming glad you’re liking the designs! It’s actually based on a number of organs and while not intentional it does kind of fit that it is that shape. I also based it on a beard for the body and ventricles with the arms mimicking intestines and scar tissue
@thesterninator Yeah! Your takes on each of the Regis are really cool and all fit with one another, especially based on type. I can definitely see where you were going inspiration wise for each, and they really shine through! They feel very grounded and while they are reminiscent of the Regis of the past, they have an interesting new take that makes them stand out and feel fresh. While not wholly intentional, with the uterus look and interpretation on my end, I still feel you definitely get muscle from the Regi through the use of colors and the resemblance to the ventricles! Overall very cool use of references and design in a way that simplifies the details and doesn't make them seem out of place.
Considering how Poryco acts regarding pokemon, seeing them as lesser than humans, I would not be surprised if Poryco tried to give the powers of pokemon to humans. A possible reason for doing this being that they believe that humans "deserve" those powers as well. Could you imagine being one of the pokemon experiments and seeing a couple of scientists toss in one of their own kind to be experimented on. I wouldn't even be shocked if even Simisurge was caught off guard by this. But then imagine whatever abomination gets out. it's wreaking havoc, it's seemingly mindless. A few trainers step into to help defeat this... THING. After a chunk of damage has been dealt to this creature, something that somewhat resembles a human bursts out of it, still attached to the main body. They gasp for air or maybe cough up some blood/ichor idk. And they call out for help. And imagine if one of the trainers recognizes the face, the voice.
