Please pass it on to the next generation young brother. Don't ever let this beautiful music die. There should be a black Ardoin who plays this music and speaks french forever. Long live the memory of Amede Ardoin and the Ardoin family!
Thats the same thing I was thinkin. Chris comes from a family that began zydeco and creole. I think he should re-record some french tunes by Amédé and"Bois Sec" Ardoin. I like his moderization of zydeco today, but nothing beats the old creole french tunes.
Hi Sean good to see you on the 'Tube. I visited with Bois Sec at his home and played accordian with him, he was a fine man and it's a great memory. Another memory is when you and Chris played at the Barbican in London. You did a great music workshop. We love and respect the Creole music here. Come to England again, we miss you'all. Best wishes Phil Underwood
These folks know how to have a good time. This is real music. This is culture. The accordian player is so cute. He is a great musician, probably learned to play as a child. These people grow up with this music.
It's Les Barres De La Prison, but all recordings I know of are fiddle, no accordion. This is the only time I've heard it played with accordion. He does an awesome job, and Sean's singing is just as good. Wish they would record the whole thing.
ahhh sean has a soulful voice indeed great job!!! and chris plays that accordian with the. same soul.the Ardoin family has it in their blood.music. and soul

Yes its my favorite as well, very soulful barres de La prison (prison bars) and they did whale of a job
the girl on the left is really pretty.

What is the name of the song the brothers do starting at 2:50? It's beautiful! Where can I get a recording?
Barres de la prison
What is the first song he played?
Wangh! Good music, but it's not ZYDECO (Les Haricot) . That's pure Cajun (Acadian) what they just played, both songs.
Chris comes from strong creole roots of zydeco.
that's his wife on the left!
No Neither it's a Creole music that is Pre Zydeco called La La or la musique Creole
