Was my first time seeing them live, scrambled to get to check out on Ticketmaster, didn’t get the Feuer zone but still got a great spot in the 100 level. Was truly an incredible show!
when they played in our capital city in wales at Cardiff in the millennium stadium ppl outside in the city was calling 999 emergency services reporting stadium was on fire , only to be told by the operator don't worry its just a rammstein concert , there pyrotechnics are off the scale lol

Their music isn't just played in the xXx movie, they have their own concert scene in it. Its cool, a great cheesy movie 😆. Yeah they're all in their mid 50s, Till the singer is 60. The band have been together for 30 years and it's still all original members.

I love your Rammstein reactions. I can't wait for the next one. And it's true for the stadium tours of Rammstein 70 trucks are needed and 4-7 days to build the stage with 400-600 people. To fly the whole eqipment to America they need also seven Boing 747. And because the stage takes 7 days to set up, they have the stage twice to be able to play the concerts in quick succession. Rammstein is the greatest rock/metalshow on the road in theese days. I love how Till conveys such emotion in his eyes and face. He really pulls off the persona of an angel that doesn’t want to be an angel. The way he looks miserable and beaten down…. Just awesome. Till is also a very strong guy because those angel wings weigh either 100 pounds or a little over 100 pounds.
Their 2022 US tour apparently had 1,350 tons of stage equipment. It took 7 747s to fly it in, and 90 semi's to move it between the venues.
An older tour had 2 trailers dedicated to electricity production and they burned ~5000 gallons of diesel per show. Since they were at stadiums they should of had access to a fairly large substation, but they still needed more power.
They use their own power because their gear is all setup for the European standard of 220V and 50hz. Rather than adapt it to American power, they just supply their own for their equipment.

Their stage does take about 61 hours over multiple days to assemble. There are time lapses of it on RUclips to check out - it’s pretty sweet. Saw them in Chicago around Labor Day 2022 (concert was originally supposed to be in 2020 but we all know how that went). It was definitely worth the wait and an experience to be at Soldier Field for it!
Saw them 6 times, indoors and outdoors. They never disappoint.
Till does not walk around with the wings anymore, he was actually getting back problems from the weight of them, they weigh 50 kilograms (around 110 pounds)

You just can not comprehend the effect of feeling the heat from a giant buthane flame in sync with the music.
When Rammstein tour, they currently your with two stadium stages. As others have commented, there's a timelapse video available to watch on RUclips. Why do they do it? For themselves as they want to give the best performance they can and for the fans. Rammstein know that their fans are dedicated in a way that others aren't , that they spend a lot of money on tickets, travel etc and this is a way of repaying the support the band has from the fans. 100% dedication on both sides here.

Well, to throw in some information on Rammstein, like some did before me. Till Lindemann (Lead singer) is also a licensed pyrotechnician. A lot of pyrotechnic companies don't want to build his crazy constructions, and the more important part, to make sure, that his colleagues are safe too. As @Michael Finck said, the line-up hasn't changed since they were founded 30 years ago. They also promised each other, that if 1 member would go, that all would go. They are the second most successful German Rockband worldwide, just being a little behind The Scorpions, who are the number 1. Till is also a poet, and has released several books with his own poems. A reason why their criticism is sometimes only noticed on the second or third time hearing their songs. After all, they are from Eastern Germany, before the wall was torn down, and well, it was not so much a nice time, if you spoke out loudly the words on your mind and your thoughts. I would recommend listening to "Radio", to get a hint of the life there.
That's exactly why I love reactions so much. Through others once again to experience one's own enthusiasm, one's own amazement.
Rammstein got international with the help of the american movie producent David Keith Lynch after he used 2 songs of their first album in his Movie "lost Highway" from 1997 ("Du Hast" and "Heirate Mich"; the band members were fan of Lynch), in a interview years later he told, that he needed more CDs from the band (70 exactly) since every member from the movie crew liked Rammsteins sound
funfact: in the 7 episode in the 3 season of David Lynchs serie "Twin Peak" you can see Lynch himself playing the role of "Gordon Cole" and whistling the start of the song "Engel"

the 70 trucks are for Open Air Concerts in Sport Stadiums where the Pyro is then also way bigger.....for the Madison Square Garden or any Indoor Concert they don´t need that much obviously,
Rammstein has been heavy into the pyrotechnics from the beginning, saw them in concert when Du Hast came out in the late 90s.
The pyrotechnics were insane at the Berlin shows last year at the coliseum 👌 They are so spot on and precise with everything they do… Till is a legend 🇩🇪🙌
Yes,... it's in MSG,... it was the first time they pleayed live in the US after nearly 10 years, before they played only small shows and support act. No record label or anyone wanted to take the risk for booking Rammstein in MSG, so they toke all the risk themselves, finally ...this show was sold out after 20 Minutes, ... so they made a fanbase. Love your Rammstein reactions, pls. try out "Mein Teil " live at Hurricane Festival2013. Dont touch the new shows 2019 - 2022 before you checked out the older ones,...its worth it...😉

They do literally ship their stages around with them and build them piece by piece at each destination. U should see their 'mordor' stage as its been nicknamed...that is one awesome stage

They had a concert for the Liebe ist für alle da album in Madrid, and a friend was going to work to set up the stage. They pretty much bring everything with them from Germany and it was about 30 trucks back then that they had to bring to Spain. Now the stage is different, even bigger, so yes, they use a lot of stuff but it looks great and this kinda performance requires it.
They actually do have 70 Trucks in EU for their stage and 90 for america ( equipment also )

Yo, watch the RUclips video of them setting up their stage, it's wild it does legitimately take two full days to setup. They have towers out in the middle of the crowd that are stadium high that fire pyrotechnics out of the arena.
You remembered right, for their stadium tour it took about 70 trucks to transport the stage and everything. If you watch a video from this tour, you know why 😉
About the song itself: the lyrics can be interpreted in a totally different way. People tend to idolizse their stars, and the more famous this stars get, the more they live in another world far away from the normal people. The guys of Rammstein don't want to be like that and appreciate their fans, for example coming on stage again after the show and thanking the audience for coming.
They have the craziest pyrotechnics of any other band. Watch more videos , there awesome 👍👍
Some that u should definitely do official videos of are deutchland, mein herz brennt and zeit...their videos are like hollywood production mini films. Mein herz brennt piano version official video is probably one of the best piano performances i've ever seen. I'm sure someone brought it up last time you viewed this, but the thing that really gets me about this song, is the children's choir singing the chorus.
Because, as old religious views (and Christ himself) say, only children are truly innocent. So only the only way to make more angels is for children to die. There are numerous serial child killers in history around the world who see themselves as "saving" their victims by killing them before the world and humanity's evils corrupt their innocence.
And then you have children singing "You can only see us when the clouds are gone at night, we are afraid and so alone, God knows I don't want to be an angel..." that really hits different.

There is a video you should watch of them setting the stage up. It's on the Official Rammstein RUclips channel. Rammstein -Europe Stadium Tour (Time Lapse) It's insane the amount of work involved just to set the stage up. On a side note, I am Till's age and have yet to see them live but my son has had that honour and when I asked him how it went, he held up his arm very proudly showing me he got singed by Rammstein fire. He bragged about it for ages.
At their latest shows they actually need 90 Trucks, with over 1300 tonns of material. Also they got a bunch of generators running, because most places can´t provide the amount of energy needed for their concerts.
I was blessed to see them this past September at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. We parked next to the large lot that was used for at least 100 semi trucks that were all labeled for what equipment was in them. Very organized trucks. Labels included either front or back stage, different types of lights, etc and I cant remember the rest. But as an organized Virgo, it was an organized dream. I wish I had taken some pix. They also had large columns in the middle of the floor in the audience that sent up flames. The hear was immense, but just added to the whole ambiance and experience.
I guess most of the people know "Du hast" from the Matrix Movie. It is in the soundtrack of the movie and most of the people say this was the starting point of Rammstein being famous all over the world. The success of this band is not only the music it is because of there Live Shows.
I just realized that Till never looks at anyone at all on stage. When he does look over one time, the guitarists are both kneeling looking down, no eye contact. Then they all leave the stage before he turns around to leave.

I worked their stage. It's 6 x 53' trailers of gear and a staff of 18 people.
In an interview, the members of Rammstein said that their spectacular stage shows are due to their working class background and that they know how much the audience sacrifices to buy a concert ticket. They want to give back so that the audience feels they got their money's worth.

I think it's really cute that, generally, the reaction when seeing the end of the song is silent, just appreciating the scene and you can see your brain paused, just watching the performance.
