I live in the USA and you have inspired me to build my own bushcraft camp.I love to camp and fish and you make bushcraft look like great fun please do not stop making your videos.
It was a good video learn some stuff tonight but the mobile phone issue I don’t know what I ever did without a mobile phone 20 years ago In fact I still go many places where mobile phones are useless
No matter the length of the video, I'll watch. Great content, building, general knowledge of the woods, all very enjoyable to watch. 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍 🇺🇸
Come ,come my friend, not having a cell phone does not mean game over. I have a PLB for emergencies Have done many trips here in NZ without a cell phone and without a watch !! Of course they are nice to have but not essential ( maybe in your neck of the woods). We didn't have them 40 years ago and we all came back alive. I do over 50 trips a year and guide and do not rely on a cell phone . Coverage can be an issue as well, (we have huge forest and mountainous country over here) Never the less, I can se that you have some experience in bush craft and it's nice seeing you deploy those skills(not glamping like some videos) . Cheers.
My wife and I love to sit and watch the videos you post. We sit through them to the end. We really enjoy them and the wife likes them as she gets to see England. I was born there and lived a lot of my life in the UK. She asked if you ever go out with someone else and show a newbie how it is done?
Canadian here. Innis and gunn has been my fav beer for a few years. i hadn't had it in a while. i had to pause this video, go to my local liquor store, and pick up a few before i continued watching.
Finally!!!! Yes Yes Yes! A 40min vid! Back in the woods , DOING Bushcraft. I've been missing ALL the live stuff & then it gets pulled down. Cool look forward to watching this! Mike love your vids buddy
Thanks for the heads-up on the camping grill. Just what I needed, and so I ordered immediately (UK price is £8.61 inc. VAT). Amazon Prime say they are going to deliver today - Sunday. As Lars in Russia would say: AWESOME!
Congratulations on 1 million subscribers this is one of the first videos that I saw also so will winter camp shelter long fire ax Bush craft canvas backpack was one that I really liked as well. I can’t wait to see you do homesteading. Especially if you’re going to do animals for you take care of them every day you just start your day and show us every day video. The daily Vlog of the Homestead
Just purchased my first DD Tarp I got the multicam version as I hunt a lot and don't like to let everyone know I'm around. The hammock is next. Thank you for making awesome videos.
LMAO, mobile phone, sure I take one with me nowadays, but game over?!? lol, oh my what did I do alone in the Appalachian mountains when I was 14 in 1975, well since here I am commenting, not game over :)
Ground sheet on the outside of tarp seems quite an error if it rains.if you use your cordage to string up inside you get a bathtub ground sheets of sorts. Agreed on buzzards- we have a family group where I am and they're fantastic!
Triumph Gibbo - right you are brother. If you sew on extra nylon cord loops between all the DD factory loops you can pin the bottom to the ground, then tie up the bottom corners to the apex - forming a 'tub' with the bottom sheet on the inside of the top sheet to stop rain running in & limit the wind blowing in
I own that same grill... Very nice. For the best results, cook over a bed of hot coals, not open flames. Boil water over open flames. It is too hard to control the heat when cooking over open flames and you are more likely to burn the outside of the meat and the inside will be raw.
Hey bud, I used to use the ol' hurricane lamp whenever. I dropped the wick as well, many times. so I finally drew a little arrow indicating the direction for up - w/ a bit of oil paint. In Canada the lamps are nearly always red so my arrow was green or black, if I recall. Very regrettably I have lost/spent my youth years, hence my love of your channel. Keep up the great work. And Thankyou.
Your channel's the best of its kind! Best thing about your videos is that your love of the outdoors shows through quite clearly. (The beer appreciation part is a welcome bonus too!)
Absolutely gorgeous cinematography, I've been getting into Bushcraft for the past 4 years; Although I can only afford dirt cheap kit, I'm loving it. Keep up the amazing videos, i get giddy with every notification!
Just started watching. Glad I found your channel , seems like a good one. I enjoy watching fellow, B-crafters, from here in the ,US, as well as other parts of the world. Things, ways of setting up camps, ect. I am finding more and more, are shared by us all because they work. The other reason I enjoy other Countries channels are that it is an opportunity to learn different ways of looking at the same obstacles we all deal with every time we go out. Glad you are going from one type of forest to others. If for no other reason, just the change of the animals that are seen. The new challenges with the type of trees and plants.
great video and really helpful to me because i've been after a small backpack size BBQ rack for a while and my battery pack finally bit the dust in work so bought both of those things haha.
Nice choice of music .. triangle fire , kewl ,,,,nice one Mike not sure about that wobblie grill thingie.. Nice power bank , kewl rubbery case , not seen one with a torch before .....the solar panel is small thou like all these small powerbanks and would take about a week to charge fully in the UK if its sunny , i use an extra plug in fold up panel to multiply the solar panel by four and charge my powerbank fully in one day
This awesome bushcraft channel video they are awesome to learn things about outside and learning activities and this bushcraft channel is out of this world and I am glad to support this amazing man and his amazing father and it's awesome bushcraft channel 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😀😀😀
Nice video you make it like we are with you. I take gear out with me here in the woods of Oregon and res arch what works. Since cell service is gone in my favorite spots, I am developing a signal booster to help fix that
I'd love to see some demonstration of bug management and camping in rain. I love tarp camping for winter and want to go year round. So far, a raised bed seems the ticket, but I'm still learning.
I use a bug net attached to my ridgeline under my tarp. It weighs 150g and does the trick perfectly. I still get attacked by biting flies when I'm sat out in the woods but it just comes with the terrain.
Cheers for the videos Mike. Love these and especially TA Fishing. You may have done this before, but one thing i've done in the past for a lads overnighter catering for 20 guys is take my cheap bank sticks and a big grill from a BBQ, stick them in the ground around a fire and lower the grill over the fire. We cooked burgers, sausages and bacon and it worked a dream. Similar to this grill your using but bigger and incorporating the fishing gear! Good multi use of the bank sticks I reckon. Keep up the good work chap. Jamie
I know this has been a year ago, but man I love your vids. Between you and joe, I find myself wanting to get out and do this stuff and learn constantly. Thanks so much

Mike I watch you every night and sometimes in the day but you are most definitely one of my mentors Thank You Sir
I just got my own tarp (dd mc ) and I can’t wait to go on my first overnighter with it
I’ve done one in my back garden (not that it really counts)
It was great I used the tent tarp formation and it had plenty of room my friend and I

Great man, I have the same powerbank. Very powerful and very resistant, it still last and I used when I had interrailed Europe
Therapeutic and mesmerising outdoor practical action
7:47 is a surefire way to create a nice luxurious swimming pool in your shelter, though
Canadian here.
Innis and gunn has been my fav beer for a few years. i hadn't had it in a while. i had to pause this video, go to my local liquor store, and pick up a few before i continued watching.

I could fall asleep listening to your majestic voice

I was impressed with those burgers. A lot of people f that up on an open fire and burn the outside. Well done.
You are a very gifted videographer, thank you very much for this video, has inspired me and made me happy.
Thanks Joseph, appreciate the kind feedback and glad you enjoyed it
LMAO, mobile phone, sure I take one with me nowadays, but game over?!? lol, oh my what did I do alone in the Appalachian mountains when I was 14 in 1975, well since here I am commenting, not game over :)

How did I miss this video?? It’s golden!

UK forests seem so ideal for bushcraft. In Canada, they're so dense, hard to find nice flat cleared spots like this.
