- Beautiful weather greeted us this day and shined over some beautiful locomotives on display. A great time was had by all and it was just so rewarding to see these beautiful locomotives and be around such great buddies. It was a joyous occasion!! I also wish to thank all of my well wishers who came out to say hello, and who appreciate the videos that I post. I do the best I can with what I have left in me.
Enjoyed the trip to Bay Head and the Hoboken festival. One thing, you overlooked at the festival was one of the eagle sculptures from the original NY Penn Station. I enjoy all of your videos I've watched so far because you provide narration and insight.
This was my first ever foaming event and I loved how chill it was! I used to live in Jersey City so it gave me an excuse to revisit Hoboken and its beautiful terminal. When I saw they were letting people go into the Tavern Lounge and Hickory Creek and given the red carpet treatment, I was ecstatic! I actually saw you in the Hickory Creek car, you can see me off to the side at 5:37 in the sunglasses and nice blue button-down! Loved the Phillies cap! I didn't get to talk or tell you my name so what I was gonna say there I'm gonna say now: thank you for everything you do in this community.
Talking about your experience, watching your videos listening to the incredible engineers of these railroads, it further shows that this community really is a special one. I'm a non-native Long Islander and I appreciate someone loving the Montauk Branch as much as I do. So great that the Flying Yankee was also there too! He's the king of the LIRR!
It was great to partake in that event. It was a great day with great machines and great people.
Great shots. In addition to the train commentary, I love that you always have something nice to say about the places you visit.
Great coverage of NJT 40th anniversary!! Thanks Tim💚👌
Tried to make it as I attended all the railfests years ago, but couldn’t make it. Thanks for such a great video!
I hope that NJT would bring back the renaissance festival. It was a good time there.
The event was so fun! Was great getting to meet you and talk shortly. You're a genuine and down to earth guy!
Thanks for coming. I appreciate the kind words I don’t like to BS
Great video Ingoyed it 👍🙂
Great video
I might’ve not seen you but I was there!
Dang I was hoping to encounter you while I was there. I saw French Onion Soup but you must have been gone by the time I was there.
I had a fun time there and was happy to meet you
Nice cool shots of the GE in the bluebird paint and PRR E unit
I first saw Viewliners at Hoboken back in 1990.
That Phillies hat is way better than that Rangers cap. Looked like a great time and let's go Devils!!
Nice to have Support
Glad I got to meet you with my friends!!
Nice meeting you at the 40th Anniversary Trip on 9/30. I also met Flying Yankee @ Hoboken on 10/1 & I told him I met you the day before. Then I turn around and watch this. Small world 🌎🚂.
I was there and took 48 photos
it was great seeing you all.!!!!
Nice! I was there as well and surprised I didn’t see you.
Lots of people
I would have gone if I wasn’t at work lol.
Nice video 👋
I saw you there!
Nice meeting you inside the hickory creek
Same here
Very nice meeting ya, (I was the guy in the brooklyn nets hoodie with the white mask)
Yes I remember. Admittedly, I saw quite a few people.
Yep, I was one of those people (our first time meeting each other in person). There I am at 4:21!!!!!
Mask? Still?

Great to meet you yesterday thanks for the airtime it was a joyous day indeed..
Nice!
Wasn’t able to get over there today, which is a bit of a bummer. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day for it, too. At least I got to see everything in video form.
It was a great day
I thought I saw you when I was about setting up my tripod and I had an evolution of Mickey Mouse cap. Great time with other Railfans.
Nice video I saw you from a distance on the train ride
Does train number 4640 still in operation because if so they should keep it running and have that have the 40th anniversary livery on it
It’s runs all of the time
so bummed out that I wasn't able to come, would have much rather been here than at SAT prep but I didn't have a choice. at least I was able to attend the boonton festival and catch the 40th anniversary excursion out in the wild but would have been really nice to round it out here
Sadly, since I am now an elderly home-bound, ill, almost 80 year old invalid, I couldn't attend. I went to the Hoboken Festivals for decades, years ago. The platforms were lined with vendors selling transit memorabilia years ago. Many hundreds of people attended those yearly events. I even set up a table to sell things and made quite a bit of money doing it. But I also spent quite a bit of money at those events. I got some great things for my collection years ago. I even displayed one of my antique buses at the events years ago. I'd drive my 1947 Public Service bus up there.
It looks so amazing, I would definitely go if I wasn’t working lol
Shame there wasn't a GG-1 Electric there But i like how they applied the PRR Colours to that ALP-46.
Yeah, the the the chargers versus chargers make that sound too diesels the SC 44s. I think it’s something to do with the electric generator or electric converter of some kind I’m not really
Caltrain now has 14 F - 40 ‘s one F-40 is out of service due to it crashing into a MofW crane on a single track and a commuter rail car was damaged too
Oh my
if 4119 and 4120 *DON'T* get preserved after retirement, i might have to have an octuple bypass.!
I’m sure they will and probably go to the URHS
i think ALCO was definitely up there for best motive power as well, but not as many lasted in service as long as the GM locomotives did.
Thank you good to see
the old school engines shame we can't have a Hoboken horn blow
That would have been awesome. I don’t think I would’ve survived that. I would have to change my shorts 20 times.
Was this a one day event?
Yes
Looks like a great event!! Always enjoy your videos … & keep wearing that Phillies cap proudly!!
You betcha
just so everyone is aware, 4120 is going to be retired and scrapped after its accident a few days ago
I thought they might save it.
@@3985uprr maybe for parts. Well see
Hi
Hi Tim, it was great meeting you and great talking to you there for the first time in person!!!!! Maybe, just maybe I would’ve worn a different shirt if I knew one of your anti NS friends (The flying Yankee) was gonna be there lol. Oh well we all get both good and bad feedback on what we wear lol. But I was saying I heard of the flying Yankee not liking NS in the video when you guys went railfanning CSX/Metro North in NY earlier in the year like in May. The event itself was a great success!!!! Glad you guys had fun, and I hope the flying Yankee didn’t let my shirt spoil his day!!!!!! Lol.
No, not at all. He had a wonderful time. We all did
