I tried using a metric Allen wrench and it wasn’t fitting right and I almost stripped out the screw heads. If you use an exact size you’ll be good.
I’ve only got about 100 rounds through the pistol so it’s hard to say. That and I am not the worlds best pistol shooter so it’s hard to say if the POI shifting is due to the sight moving or my horrible trigger pulls. 😂 that being said the sight fights snugly on the frame, like it was made to fit there. I don’t think it’s going to move.
Optic cutout on sig slides have a slight dovetail to help with centering but I suggest pushing the optic forward towards the ejection port prior to tightening the mounting screws due to inertia force from the slide reciprocating.

using that torx tool you basically can't over tighten using your two fingers. however if you have an inch lb torque screw driver you'll find the specs in the included book.
Hey, so I just put an M18 on layaway at my local range. I’ve read that the military is having problems with the rear sight flying off on recoil, any truth to this? But I guess the military version only has one screw holding in the rear sight.
I am in a military service that uses iron sighted M-18s and I have not heard anyone tell me there has been an issue with the rear sight coming off. As you can see from my video, there are two screws holding the rear sight on this model and they have blue Loktite on them and I don’t foresee them going anywhere. All the same if you put this RDS on the pistol you’ll get the rear sight integrally added that way.
Double check before you buy, but I can't see why this would not fit. The M-18 and M-17, aside from the barrel and slide length, should be identical on the back end of the pistol.
From someone who is in the military. One military personnel in general dont take care of shit. Rather beat it up and let the next person deal with it. Secondly its absolutely possible manufacturers cut corners trying to fill such large order and in timely manner. Just a number of factors not aggressed in scenario
I tried using one of military issued Safariland holsters with my M18 with the Romeo X on it and it definitely doesn’t work. I’ll need to find the one that can accommodate an RDS.
The narrator did not mention the extractor that fell out until the reassembly was taking place. Also, no mention of using locktight on the screws. The narration was clear and crisp. The video work was great.
I didn’t mention it because it wasn’t relevant until the reassembly. I didn’t mention using any Loktite because it wasn’t specified in the instructions for installing the sight and it’s not necessary. Being a countersunk screw there is enough friction to keep the screw tight. I’ve got a few hundred rounds through the pistol now and nothings cone loose on me. Thank you for the compliment!
Unfortunately I don't! I specifically bought this Sig Romeo X sight for my M-18 because I knew it would be compatible. I'm a life-long iron sight shooter so this is my first RDS.

Hey brother kind of new here! I installed a flat trigger on my P320 M17. It has a delay on the pull for some reason. Do you know what is causing this issue? The original curved trigger works fine.
Unfortunately I haven’t changed out the trigger and I am not a gunsmith so I don’t want to mislead you, but it sounds like there is excessive play between the trigger and sear.
