  • Restoring streams in the Green Lake watershed is a critical way to reduce the amount of phosphorus entering Big Green Lake-and therefore impact the health of the lake itself. That is why stream restoration-like the work we've been doing on Dakin Creek-is one of our major initiatives to protect Big Green. Thanks to the hard work and commitment of our partners and grants received by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Patagonia, we were able to recently repair 3,600 ft. of stream bank along Dakin Creek.
