- Twenty years ago, psychologist Arthur Aron discovered that four minutes of looking into each other's eyes can bring people closer. Using this discovery, Amnesty International Poland decided to carry out a simple experiment where refugees and Europeans sat opposite each other and looked into each other's eyes.
The experiment participants were ordinary people. The situations were not staged; we wanted to get natural, spontaneous reactions. The people sitting opposite each other had not known each other before and saw each other for the first time during the experiment. What is important, the refugees mostly came from Syria and had not been living in Europe for longer than a year.

This video was done by Amnesty International Poland. I think it should be titled "People who are non-refugees look into the eyes of other people who are refugees". Just classifying those who are currently refugees as refugees limits their whole human experience.
The intent is to raise awareness and a short title will stick in peoples heads longer. The importance of the interest raised outweighs the political incorrect wording.

As the description says, the reactions are natural and without music so you see what the real feel would be like. Amnesty, on the other hand, is an organization focused on raising interest for conflictions and problems in all societies so they obviously want to make it more impactful because that will stuck in your head longer and raise more interest in general. Understandable if you ask me.
