It's like you said David Haye had an Iconic career. This guy was a two-division, two-time, world champion, holding 4-titles, including being a unified 3-belt ( WBA, WBC, and WBO) and Ring Magazine Cruiserweight Champion. I only count two legit losses on his record. Haye was injured in both Bellew fights which ended his career. Haye just could not stay healthy at the end. The guy had a great career and only tied with Holyfield and Usyk for being the most notable Cruiserweight Champion ever. People tend not to give Haye credit because of his mouth but that's just not fair. Respect to Mr. Haye
Most people forget because in point of fact he was pretty 1 dimensional and a total bell-end (and still is) So people forget he was decent for a short period. ANd that's not People's fault mate. That's Haye's fault. He made himself forgettable. No one is interested in a tosser like him.
Ex boss of mine was a national level middleweight at the same gym as Haye. He said that even as a kid of 16 Haye was competitive with him and other prospects... true story 🤷🏿
Great to see a very underrated fighter get some credit. One of the great cruiserweights, and deserves a lot of credit for becoming a heavyweight champion when naturally a little leaner than most heavyweights. Doubly so for facing a real life armoured giant. He was a true prize fighter too, a guy who wanted to test himself against others. A really good boxer who earned himself a great career.
Love seeing a fighter with Haye's combination of speed and power, but always wondered if his insane power was his downfall. Maybe he'd have been more committed to developing his all round game if he didn't hit quite as hard? When Klitschko knew how to stop him landing that monster straight right hand, he didn't seem to be able to implement, or perhaps even to have, a plan B.
Watch Haye's fights against Valuev and Fragomeni. He knew when it's time to box, and knew how to box. The guy was incredibly versatile. The truth is, Wlad had an answer for everything Haye wanted to do, and those overhands were the only thing left for him
Well what can anyone really do if the ref allows klitshcko to hold as much as he did. Klitshcko was nicknamed as Clinchko. Whenever Klitshcko didn't fight in Germany or any European country and fought somewhere like in America where the ref took points and gave warnings for the excessive clinching, klitshcko didn't know what to do at all. E.g. The samuel peters fight and the Bryant Jennings fight

Always liked David Haye, wish he fought more. Would have liked to have seen him fight the likes of tyson fury and anthony joshua before retiring. Was really upset when he lost to bellew.
I forgot what a beast haye was. To throw multiple banging shots so consecutively is a very impressive and intimidating prospect. Great focus. Respect to bellew when he admitted the haye that he beat twice was way past his best and not the same fighter he once was
Good video but Hayes’s debut was in 2002 and the Valuev fight was in 2009 and not 2011 and you forgot two crucial fights in his career in particular and those being the Carl Thompson fight in 2004 even though it was a loss it was still significant! And also the Fragomeni fight too in 2006. His first heavyweight fight against Bonin and his second against Barrett also should have been on here and even the s**t show Harrison fight. Ignore the two 2016 fights sure but even the two Bellew fights should have featured and definitely the 2011 mega fight between him and Klitschko even if those were losses they were still big fights and significant to Haye’s career. Good vid though.
Anyone whom dislike Haye or didn't recognise him is someone born in late 2000s, Haye had the ring magazine cruiserweight world title and WBA, WBC and WBO in his possession, before winning the WBA heavyweight championship of the world, he's a beast though underrated, his career was ruined due to injuries, let's give him the respect he deserves, legendary Haye, take it or leave it Haye is one of the top 5 greatest boxer to come out of great Britain.
I David would be proud if he could read the comments on this video brilliant show of humanity from everybody that left comments. Brilliant video i enjoyed it.
Wow , absolutely wow. I never really watched him before because I stopped watching boxing. This man is amazing the power and agility. It is beyond amazing
Did you not watch the video? The entire last fight he covered was about his fight with a guy he was beefing with heavily. They even fought at a press conference.
Haye was awesome at cruiserweight, he really should have fought Steve Cunningham before his heavyweight run to become undisputed. Top 10 British boxer of the past 30 years.
@@drinfernodds Yeah, although Haye did say he couldn’t make cruiserweight anymore, I reckon he could have had one more fight after the Enzo unification.

I actually have a new found respect for haye, I really only ever watched the klitscho and bellew fights and I thought he was a joke. But watching these fights he had before especially the chisora fight and knockout I gotta say I’m bloody impressed at how good a puncher and boxer he was. I wish British telly would stump up the cash and start showing boxing on terrestrial tv again like they did in the 80’s. Sick of having to keep paying for a subscription then on top of that a ppv fee to see our own fighters fight.
I enjoyed every part of this video, Great way to put it together on David Hayemaker Haye. Make more videos though man, it's crazy to the point where I find myself watching old videos 📹 Waiting for new one.
Always loved to see his quick head movement and evading. Not always succesful with the dancing, but man does it look good when it does. The variety of punches must have been an nightmare to face (pun intended).
Think Haye would win tbh. Fury has a history of getting knocked down/being wobbled, as shown when Cunningham knocked him down. Imagine close to Wilders power but twice as fast and throws in combinations. I don't think Fury's height would be enough to save him, and although he can be elusive that won't necessarily work against someone with Hayes speed.
A fantastic talent who had a very good career. Injuries ruined the latter stages of his career and he went out on a wimper when his body simply gave up on him
I remember when he started making a name for himself internationally in the late 00s. It seemed like he was the spark the heavyweight division needed but unfortunately it seemed like injuries derailed that push.
He was natural, he cared way too much about being a heavyweight and lifted too many weights to get to that size which resulted in a lot of injuries, he was barely a natural cruiserweight never mind heavyweight
Older Haye has become somewhat of a meme due to his big mouth, its easy to forget what a force he was in his prime. His power wasn't too far off someone like wilder, it was absolutely devastating but as a result he didn't have to load up on shots, he could pick his opponents off with speed and accuracy yet still hit like a truck. I used to love watching his fights they were always interesting
@@berserk9085 Klitschko peaked very late, Haye didn't. He had a lot of injuries that affected his performance in later years, he slowed down a lot and changed his style. I don't blame him going to Heavyweight for bigger money fights and he won a belt, but he was so good at Cruiser. His body seemed to break down at Heavyweight.
I can't criticize someone for not having enough "love for the sport". This sport is so brutal, so vicious, and so deadly that I have to conclude it would be a one-way relationship no matter what. I like boxing, and boxed briefly for a bit, but if I had to do it as a career? No, I'd get what I could and get out with my facilities. Haye was an amazing puncher and one of the best in the business in his day. If that means we're left with a "what if" after the fact, I'm fine with that.

underrated powerhouse Mr Haye. Such a shame his career was cut short by injuries
i'm willing to bet he has the smallest head to body ratio in boxing history , which definitely helped slip some punches
That's because he kept getting injured before fights
And by constantly retiring and unretiring, rather than staying in shape and fighting regularly.
And excuses
Trained so hard, he was always injured.
David haye deserves his flowers. This man brought excitement back to boxing at a time when it the sport was really struggling for viewers.

Haye v Enzo was such a great fight, I got goosebumps watching enzo slip Haye's hooks, and even more so when Haye loaded up his body with shots
enzo ate a belter of an overhand right a couple of minutes before the actual ko i couldnt believe it tbh
edit 8:28 what a punch
@Fathervinyard I think the damage he took and kept going afterwards in that fight isn't appreciated enough for sure
