    My secret's out!🍋☕️👀
😂 - I used to put lemon in my butternut squash soup when too bitter, so I figured it might do similar in overly bitter coffee bean brew. Also, a cooking rule of thumb is that sour cancels bitter. And it doesn't take much. Bon appétit mon ami

Lemon juice is acidic. It would only make your coffee more acidic than it already is. You may be right about the sour flavor reducing the perceived bitterness. But you have the chemistry of the stomach completely wrong. Your stomach is always acidic, and that acid is the first step in the process of digestion. The acidity of your stomach contents is reduced when food passes from the stomach to the duodenum, where bile is secreted. Bile is basic, and it reduces the ph of the food such that it’s safe for the lining of your small intestine. The whole alkaline water scam is couched on this same misunderstanding. Acid secretions in the stomach maintain the ph within a narrow range, and bile reduces that ph before passing it on. Anything you eat will have only small, temporary effects on the ph of your digestive system if you have healthy normal function.

Hey thanks for commenting! Yeah that should help with it too!
      I haven’t tried it though.
Maybe even do the like peel twist into the glass spraying the oils from the peel like for an old fashioned drink. 🤔🦾🤓
