Well done Sean 👏🎣.. I remember a friend catching a lovely 5lb bar of July silver in that first pool.. must be 21-22yrs ago now and I still remember it. Great wee river 😊👍👍
A river I know you're fond of 👍. It's funny how fishermen remember such details, like how a pool looks 20+ years ago and can't remember every day stuff 🤣
@@SeánWoodsFishing you said it.. I also remember that day as I just after my friend caught the fish I broke my rod.. a double whammy I think it’s called lol. Memories is what it’s all about 😊🎣👍
Offcourse not Mark. Flies are really down to personal choice but I usually always fish a long tail shrimp on the point and a Irish shrimp on the dropper. I would be lost without the Calvin Shrimp and then usually a foxford shrimp or bann special on the dropper. This day the fish took the Calvin and a McCormicks shrimp 👍 pink, clarets, reds and orange all seem to fish well in late season
@@billytheghillie I have the oracle switch, 2 scandis and one Stillwater. As well as an old XPS. All used for salmon. Shakespeare do great rods and then you can spend the change on permits 🤣
Love small spate rivers. When they turn on they really turn on 😊
Feast or famine sometimes Robbie 🤣
Nice wee river and a lovely way to end the season 👍👌
Thanks Simon, April won't be long coming round 🤣
Great video Séan!
Thanks Adam 👍 fly tying season now 👌
Nice 1 great looking sport
Thanks for stopping by Martin, glad you enjoyed it 👍

Good stuff.tight lines
Hope you enjoyed it Moe 👍
I had 8 salmon off that stretch fishing a falling spate one September, probably about 15 years ago and nowadays ya'd be lucky to get 8 in a season.
That's some fishing Mark! Really worrying how salmon have dropped off a cliff edge, more so than ever this year 😔
Hard work them trees Sean, I catch more branches than salmon 😄
Great video
Thanks Stiofain, hard on the waders and flies but all is forgiven when a fish takes 👍
River starts with E? Beautiful spot.
A great wee spot indeed 👌
Lovely video class day fishing question what the two best flies you would use at that time of year hope you don’t mind me asking thanks mark

Well done Sean, crakin wee river there, what rod length and make, also fly line.
Cheers Billy. It's a shakespeare oracle 11ft switch and a snowbee classic switch line 👍
Thanks Sean, it throws a mean line for such a budget outfit, may need to rob the piggy bank next season.@@SeánWoodsFishing

Never good to leave a killer in the bushes lad.toght lines 2024
I'd say there is more flies in the bushes than stones on the river bed on that river 🤣 tight lines also Moe, hope it's a good one 🤞
