If you own a Honda ADV 150 what top speed have you reached? Mine bogs down around 67MPH, but that's ok. I'd rather cruise around slowly and enjoy the sights!
It's capped at 67, due to the internal machinery; the variator, I believe. There are upgrades you can get to increase it slightly, maybe to 75 or so, but YMMV.
Fun. I enjoyed this. I wouldn't do a speed test in weather that cold because cold is my kryptonite. When I start getting above 50mph I really start feeling that wind whip me around and it makes me nervous. Nice video.
I'm selling my 2023 Honda ADV 150 with 2500 miles for $3k. I love the scooter but just want out of the payments and don't feel riding is for me. $3k is a bargain but people keep trying to make me go lower. $6800 Out The Door new plus 4 year service on a GPS tracking device is no joke. I looked up KBB value it's at $3456 (retail value) but I'm not a dealer so no dealer fees plus the price is lower than what the dealer would charge. I'm taking a huge loss. I live in SW Michigan (Kalamazoo area)
My 2005 150cc gy6 can get up to the same speed, I even pushed it to 140km/h once but on the way back home the belt snaped, the 150cc gy6 needs a cvt belt replacement every 4000km and I read that this Honda can go 15,000mi without a belt change, the 150cc gy6 only has 7hp and this Honda is double at 14hp.
I was nervous running wide open where I felt that bouncing due to the belt I suspect. I don't think that's a good idea to push it that far all the time. Thanks for the info about the belt. Noted.
My 2022 ADV 150 tops out around 65. I do have a Puig screen on it, and I'm about 185 lbs without gear. Today, I couldn't get over 63-64. I live in a flat area and it will hold 60 with no problem. I love the bike but wish I could get a little more top end on it.
Plenty fast enough for two wheels imo. How much improvement is that aftermarket windscreen? Would you buy it again? I've only sat on one but was surprised how small the stock windscreen is and wondered how well it would actually work.
I've tested that theory and installed the stock screen and it makes a difference, especially at slower speeds like 40 or less. Now when you're going 65mph I don't think it matters.
Hi bud. Long time no see after the cinn lost 😔. My adv150 I got it up to 67-68 downhill. After that the scooter stall so no bueno. Again that was downhill. I think the speed limit on a flat road it’s 65. Even with my Yoshimura exhaust and the aftermarket air filter. Any way bud. Good to see ya back. We so happy here with Sean Payton. Good things or better should be coming I hope 😊. Take care buddy ✌🏼
It's been like six months since Japan finally got it. I really don't know what Honda's problem is in North America, but they seem to have a very pessimistic attitude about the scooter market. 🤷
The state of Ohio doesn't go by "cc" size, but rather than the speed of the bike must be able to go over 45 mph and keep up with traffic. That's all I could find. Most states require an engine size of over 149cc to be able to travel on Interstate roads I hear.
Too bad I don't get commission from Honda! I've probably helped sell at least a dozen of these just through my videos. Nothing is given to you in life, but I enjoy making these videos regardless.
You was right .. the wind was not good for this small bike.. but I like it cuz from home to work only 2 miles..😂.. 30 mph st.. I think this gonna be perfect but let me ask you a question brother.. do we need motorcycle driver license for this..??
Thanks for all the Adv 150 reviews info. Truly wished Honda Adv 350 would be sold in USA. But the Adv 150 or maybe even the new Honda Adv 160 just doesn’t have the speed / acceleration reserves for a performance “safety” cushion even on 55 mph roads given driving habits in Fla / USA. Going for the Yamaha Xmax 300 for 2 wheel transport because of higher performance and larger stock cargo capacity. Plus Yamaha luggage accessory upgrades. Again I wish Honda would bring the Adv 350 to the US.
Im impressed actually,,because its windy,,,of course not enough for a long trips but around the city an scooter like that one its perfect, specially for the gas prices right now 👍
@@Trekopolis Thanks. I was curious if the windscreen smoothly routing the bow wake air around your person instead of hitting you in the chest would make a difference in top speed.
@@dustup2249 I don't think the position of the windscreen affects top speed if I were to wager on that. However, I'll test that theory so stay tuned! 😉
Hey, thanks so much for the informative video really liked that. I’ve been kind of interested in the Honda ADV I’d like to ask what phone holder you have? Thanks again for your time.
Hey, thanks! Glad you found the video useful. If you go to the TREK SHOP link in the description I have everything and lots more organized there. The holder is under Motorbike Accessories. I love that thing. Inexpensive and great quality actually. 👍🏼
I'm 165lbs. Have full exhaust, Chimera intake, complete Malossi transmission setup with 12.5 gram rollers and Aracer mini5 base ECU. Can change or eliminate RPM limiter to get higher speed, may do it at a later date.
There is a lot of difference in Yamaha Zuma to the Honda ADV 150 liquid cooled and 25ccs makes a world of difference. The Honda will gain power on an incline.👍
I've never seen that posted anywhere. In California the minimum CC is 150 on highways, but can't find anything about Ohio. Everything I read states any bike above 50cc requires a license and is legal on roadways. So please share the link where it states that because that's the first time I've heard it. Thanks!
It's not a question of manhood, but more about not caring if it goes 90. This bike is great for those casual rides at a slower pace. I do want a sport bike though.

Oh, me too! I hate cold. Why I live in Ohio is beyond me. If I didn't have others dependent on me I'd be typing this from Thailand.
Good to see you riding again! Enjoyed the ride!
Warmer weather coming! 👌🏼

Yep, that tracks, that's as fast as I've gotten mine to go as well.

Yes, 60 all day, then it varies from there. 👍🏼 More speed would be nice sometimes.

Yes! Maybe the Broncos will climb out of the gutter next season. They seriously needed some changes in leadership. I hope they turn it around!
Mine maxed out at 67 too. Felt like a governor kicked in
Yep. Don't care for that speed anyway. 😬
If Honda ever brings the ADV160 to the states that one hits about 72MPH which is plenty fast in a light scoot.
It's been like six months since Japan finally got it. I really don't know what Honda's problem is in North America, but they seem to have a very pessimistic attitude about the scooter market. 🤷
I have one and I live in south Texas. I just got home after full throttling it on highway, it reached 68 mph but I didn’t wanna push it too hard
I’ve hit 70mph with my 2024 adv 160 (I weigh 280)
@@masoncolvin9896 damn dude you were flying. I’ve clocked in about 1,700 miles since I got mine two months ago

Was wondering where how you got this scooter in black. I can only find the red versions.
It's the year before the red release. 20 or 21 I'd have to look because I forget now. 🤔🤣 See, now I have a classic!

I think I'll buy one of those...

Great! Thanks for the sub! 👍🏻

There's some folks that claim to get 100mpg. I don't track it because I don't use mine for commuting, just for casual riding on nice days.
can we take this on the highway in ny state?
Legally yes, choosing to do so is a personal matter.
Was your windscreen in the up or down position?
It's always in the up position. 😉

What phone holder is that?

68MPH on flat highway. Rev limiter hits at 69MPH.
Another 69. Very interesting. Maybe due to weight also. I'm larger than most due to pizza. 😜😂

My 50cc 4t speed 65km stock hehe
The U.S. version has the speed limited to 65, so that’s it.
