    Dear Mindah,
    About 20 years ago I attended a 3 days retreat doing Samatha,Vipassana and Metta meditation.I came out as a new person.I became a calmer happier and able to handle any stress on my job much better..I continue to meditate twice a day and trying to be more mindful.You are doing a great job of planting seed of the the Dharma . You are truly a good teacher and enthusiastic Buddhist.
    may you reach the ultimate goal Nivarna soon,
    Metta.

    Yes, peace is certainly a result of meditation too! And finding peace is a very valid reason for meditating. I guess I approached the topic of 'why meditate' with the angle of how it fills the 'happiness void' which can't be filled by things we find in society. If I made the video longer I would have probably talked more about finding peace and how meditation increases one's wisdom. I'm sure to come back to this topic again and again in future videos. ;)

    Hi Mindah-Lee. Thank-you for your video's. I find them very clear and helpful. I have been practising transcendental meditation for some time where you silently repeat a word/mantra. I am becoming more interested in the teachings of buddha as it closely matches my own observations and instincts about the nature of reality. I am now wondering if transcendental and calm abiding meditation are compatible, the same, or different? Maybe i need to switch techniques, or maybe it's not important. Any suggestions from your experience would be welcome. Thanks for your time. Yeti.

      ***** I have experience with TM and it takes you to the same place. Repeating a nonsensical word means you aren't thinking about anything. No thoughts...no problems :)

      All the meditation techniques do not work for all . Keep trying all.chanting qualities of triple gems is the best . Ex: - " Lord Budhdha discovered the truth himself without any assistance of anyone else "

    Hi, Miss Mindah- Lee Kumar, I am a meditation follower. I really feel refresh every time i do it, so i like it. But i think i need some discipline and/ or more practice. What i know of meditation is what I see here in you tube. So i try by myself only. So sometimes i feel alone or embarrassed since no one in my family practice meditation. What do you suggest me?

    hi,how to become a buddhist

    • @TBR_LLC
      @TBR_LLC 7 лет назад

      as i investigate more i think i will answer my own question but in becoming a buddhist is this something you tell people you are or are you practicing buddhism? also, does this mean your occupation could be at odds with this practice?

    • @supremeplustv1892
      @supremeplustv1892 8 месяцев назад

      "Do merits , refrain from doing sins, tackle your mind , this is the budhism "
      Basis of budhism is reincarnation and law of karma . If have no confidence search on internet and in books for proofs.
      In theravada tradition you get lot of meditation techniques .
      There are lot of gods but no supreme god . There can't be a creator coz who created the creator , why not only good people , why not world without any problem, why doesn"t he appear before us.In world history nobody has ever seen him.
      We shouldn't do anything to others what we don't them to do to us, call " Aththuppanayake dharma "
      Five ways to attain final stage
      01. Listening to budhist lectures
      02. Teaching what you know about budhism to others
      03. Meditation
      04. Chanting
      05. Thinking what you know about budhism
      Try this ,
      Having known this ,
      " Gods, brahmas and human beings were benefited by lord Budhdha "
      Keep chanting this and other qualities of triple gems for all evils ,
      " Gods,brahmas and human beings were benefited "
      Further ,
      Visiting four places highly recommended namely birth place of lord budhdha , where he became Budhdha , where he conducted first lecture and place where he passed away .
      According to " Maha parinibbana sutta " all four places should be on a straight single line with similar distances among those places "
      May triple gems bless you !
