John McLaughlin interview with Grey Shepard Sept 9, 2021

This interview was conducted at KWMR studio B September 9th, 2021
I realize now that the microphone obstructs the view of my face most of the time and that I sometimes spin my chair a little near the 40-minute mark but really it is a genuine and informative interview where John McLaughlin speaks about Tony Williams; the new release - Liberation Time; Coltrane; Intent and the healing ability of music; the inspiration for the tunes Arjen’s Bag and Follow Your Heart; playing in the US; and the upcoming release of Montreux Jazz Festival highlights.
Note - at the 43:17mark - I mispronounce, and incorrectly say that the rhythm was to mimic the painter rather than the composer himself, Mosoursky.
