i haven't played that game for years now, but if i remember correctly, you have to hold up while either tapping or holding the attack button. crazy jay had this thing where you can combo if you hold his attack button.

If one learns how to play as him, the game will be very easy. But if you have no idea how to use him then you'll just keep on dying over and over.
