Don’t try this at home , these guys are probably at least 2nd or 3rd generation fishermen. Total respect. I hope they don’t have to deal with those conditions too often.
Looks like an inlet so ita likely a daily occurrence
As mentioned above, this is a daily occurrence but different levels of danger and currents etc. As this spot is when the river meets directly with the ocean creating a very powerful current mixture when they both meet together like in this video, the waves go absolutely crazy and will throw boats around like kids having a tantrum lol.
How am I supposed to try this at home I live on land
@@retrogaminggenesis6102 your not the smartest 😂
@@HNTR308 says the guy who thinks you can try this on land
These fishermen are the toughest guys in the world, working in extreme weather conditions...respect these men💪🙏🙏🙏💪
Thanks
Have you heard of drainers???
@@Gagglebot Yeah I've seen videos & pics of Indian drainers, they're working on dry land which most people can make an attempt to do.
Compared to a fisherman's job working in unpredictable, extreme weather coditions in tiny fishing boats,it scares the shit out of normal people. These fishermen have balls of steel.
Takes a certain someone to be a watermen, I’m a fisherman, fair weather prefered but been caught a few times ( nothing like this ) if you’ve never heard lightning hit the water, it’s a “oh shit gotta go” type sound. Much respect to any & all people making a living on any body of water, not only is it hard ass work, this video tells the rest. ⚓️❤️
I was the Boat Officer at Conchas lake in New Mexico. These Captains are artist, watching them is magnificent God speed and thank you for the upload.
Awesome video. Those captains have balls of steel!
Incredible. I'm a captain on a 153ft commercial vessel in US and we have some rough ports. But this is truly incredible. And these boats. Really amazing. Loved the shots love the video. Love the boats. Going to watch a lobster boat race today!!
Those boys do it every day mate... full commitment! Some of those hulls are nearly 80 years old!
My father is a fisherman and I'm proud of it 😊
What a hard way to make a living,
Total respect for these fisherman for doing this to put food on the table for their family
God bless them
Josh Landry I’ll be shited in my pants 😁
This guys have some bull balls 😁
Nah. They were out of beer.
Da medo so de olhar. De quarentena Cidade do Natal abril 2020.
Thank you so much for doing this video. Thank you so much for showing this video. Looking at any fish in dishes or at markets, supermarkets, please do not forget fishermen, fish boats and fish ships. May God be with them all the time!
The level of chill from the skipper out on deck is amazing. Those are some angry seas and these guys are handling them like it's a walk in the park. A pair of stalwarts, both the ships abd their crews!
In every work we do we all of to show respect ,I respect these people alot
Nothing like watching blokes who know what they’re doing, doing what they know!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭😭
until they become one of the ones that don't... like rock climbers & sky divers... eventually contempt breeds complacency
@@Errol.C-nz Well actually, that's not what the evidence suggests. People that understand the risks, continue to mitigate them by understanding the risks and continually managing them. The people who ignore risks are generally not the professionals or the well practiced.
@@PaulBKal so the ones that have rolled on the bar... were the cow boys that didn't know their stuff... how do you... tell the difference... the ones that weren't risking their boats... the non cowboys
@@Errol.C-nz before you even set off to go fishing theres a number of things you need to check especially the weather
Crazy bloody Kiwis! Top job 👌 Wish this showed them stepping onto dry land
Heart stopping footage..as the boat rides and falls.. totally at the mercy of the ferocious waves..if someone has to pass a bravery test..they should experience this.. Thanks for sharing!!
I grew up on a boat and I couldn’t handle these waves!
Total respect for the Captain’s and fishermen that go out and work in these waters.
Best skippers out there total respect 👍the ocean is a vicious beast 🙏🏻
This just goes to show how well designed these vessels are. Excellent boats.
Quality boat handling skips hats off to yous
I'm just gonna scratch that career choice off my list...
After doing it any other job would kill you from boredom alone. Adrenaline rushes are every bit as addictive as cocaine.
These guys are legends even as far as kiwis go. Having just been to Greymouth and looked at the bar for the first time, I can totally appreciate the level of skill required. My stomach drops just thinking about it. Legends doesn't even begin to cover it.
this are the guys who have steel balls
I'm glad to be watching this from the safe screen of my Chinese tablet, unlike the folks who watched it from the window of the terrifying boat!
No ji
All in a days work. Of a fisherman
@@jasperfairchild4111 people have no idea. They've been retardized. If that's a word.

Amazing camera work, well taken. My hat is off to these courageous men of the sea.
We must recognize that behind this video there is an excellent level of professionalism
And then many are saying there that the work is hard and that it is difficult to support the bosses so much time and time again.
Lived here for many years saw it all .
Alguém do Brasil assistindo
Que medo que dar
Eu Vinhedo SP
Eu Manaus Amazonas

My father worked in the coal mines all his adult working life, knocking out the pit props so the roof would fall and make it safe from gas build-up. He had the odd stone fall hit him etc., but always said that going out fishing was too dangerous for him. He would not have died at a young age from coal dust though.
INCREÍBLE COMO SE JUEGAN LA VIDA LOS HOMBRES DE LA MAR.
The rumor is that these boats always have a priest on his knees near the engine and in constant prayer.
The video I want to see is the one taken by the guy on the boat, now that's gotta be an incredible video!
mosipd I have such video .Not these boats but another. It will make you sea sick to watch it. We were on a 100 footer and holes were so violent we had to creep. Waves breaking across the bow in a Nor Easter off the coast of Carolina- Virginia . Most of the crew and passengers were painting her decks with food eaten hours PAST. We were in blue water headed back to shore. A good ways out.
lol i remember reading this somewhere in a novel!!...
"UP PERISCOPE"...aye, aye Captain!
Total respect and admiration for the Skipper and the boat builder. I'm a Tow boat skipper myself and as I was watching this I was coming ahead on it after every Crest. Lol only one oat people knows what that means. 👍👍👍
I would have been in the scuppers with the staggers and jags...
Most incredible video I have seen in a while
My father was picked up clinging to the bottom of his capsized fishing boat off the B.C. coast less than 5 minutes before it went under--without that rescue I wouldn't be typing this now.

DiGiTaLdAzEDM Glad that you are here
So glad your father made it God was watching over him.
Well built vessels is all I can say.
Neal Champagne I do love a good cruiser stern vessel
And I thought I had been out in some very rough North Sea swells! I now take back what I previously thought. Awesome!!
It’s rough seas out there... Let’s go fishing anyway .... captain.. hold my beer!!
I guess the saying " a bad day of fishing is better than a good day at work" does not apply here.
Fish
Agreed
#EatMoreFish
Well for these guys, this is work. This is their office.
Very true
wow really incredible video
Great Video Geoff, thanks for sharing
Well built full displacement boats with knowledgeable captains handling a bar . Its amazing what these boats will handle everyday .
MUITA CORAGEM E HABILIDADE, PRIMEIRO, DEUS.
One wrong move and ...Flip!!!
I want to buy those captains a beer
Rough sea is indeed very rough..
Incredible 👌
I remember seeing the atheist Madalyn Murray O’Hare on Phil Donahue Show years ago. An old sea Captain told her go out on the boat with me during a hurricane and you’ll be on your knees praying to God to rescue you! I’ll never forget that!
My word!!! The next time I eat my fish I'm going to do it thinking of your hard work. Much appreciation thank you!
If you aren't careful you can get seasick just watching this.

I fish in a 19 foot boat and sometimes it gets rough, I almost crap my pants. Captain is awesome.
Jim John with the right captain at the wheel and 19-20ft boat will be ok best anchor up with the v nose at the waves of ride them if they are the way ur meant to be going
Did they lose power? Blessing to all..
i once jet ski'd through this river bar. was calm in the morning and when we came back in it was swells almost as big as these! scariest thing ive ever done
Sex
Glad you are ok God was with you
You misspelled "exhilarating".
After this, I'll never go on a boat ever again in my life.
Respect for these guys.Pity the part isn't shown once they get in.
Gives new meaning to "ride it out", for me anyhow.
This is literally the best depiction of me when it comes to dealing with the school year. God Bless fishermen.
I have a huge sea phobia, especially when you're on a boat, and there's a huge storm. Yeah, not for me. respect to all those fishermen trying to make a living.
Hardest part is getting your land legs back, bet once they hit bed, they will still feel like they are riding waves
i will never complane at the price of fish again ...
TheCatalunya lol
+TheCatalunya nah would be better to COMPLAIN about the taste.
TheCataluny
TheCatalunya
haha ...that's a nice one
TheCatalunya Christ on his throne me neither
...And you've got the nerve to complain about the price of fish at your local supermarket? !!!

Take my hat off to the boat designers. Extremely seaworthy craft, both of them.
Great footage👋👏🖒👌
Fishing boat seems invincible, scary stuff !

This isn't "rough seas"; this is crossing the bar.
that scary, they take big Chance out at sea. brave man. wow thank you for sharing.
And I’m sure those brave fisherman are saying to themselves ‘engines don’t fail me now’.Believe it or not that guy knows exactly what His boat will do and he has it under control.
Captian earned his pay that day!!!
Good work Capt!!
*_-i never see like this before-_*
What awesome captains. Sea skills are untouchable.
This is gonna be a next attraction at Universal Studios
Looks like the Mississippi River with waves so muddy!
Impressionante!😳
Ohh really I am not Imagine that Very very nice & risky photography, God bless you Thanks 💐 👍
These fishermen probably need personal
Attendants with wheelbarrows to help them
With their giant balls.
XD
Lol jesus, no doubt.
exactly, me personally just go ahead and stick the gun to my head

Unbelievable, got to be yhe best boat built and crew ever !
Amazing how the stay afloat. Hope no one was hurt.
The shear size of the crews balls are why these boats stay afloat.
Rule 1: Boat must be faster than the current...
randalljames wtf lol
Incredible! Those two sticks on the sides are keeping them from getting toppled!
No they not, ballast on a bottom of a hull that what keeps them from capsizing.
Ummm not!! They're simply outriggers for the nets they drag..other guy nailed it..all ballasts and bilge pumps here!
Nice video
Can we use submarine for fishing?
Fantástico el vídeo. Buena película.
My dad was a scallop fisherman most of my life and I was always aware of the hard work and the dangers of making a living at sea.Make no mistake these people work extremely hard and the ocean can be very unkind. Some people complain about the price of seafood, but if they knew how hard they work in horrible weather,it's well worth every penny
"THE PERFECT STORM" OR WHAT?
THAT IS SOME NASTY LOOKING WATER EVEN FOR THE ATLANTIC OCEAN!
I think they did rather well, as long as they have propulsion...
This video is beautiful, I find myself comming back to it. It just a ship among chaos and it seems like its gonna be ok. like its built for it.
Wow very strong captain boats...ohhh my god very dangerous wave in the rough sea..god protect this boat...

@@angelurielambrociogarcia6252 eres puro pedo wey
That is some insane stuff much respect for those captains
Great boats. Skippers who know what to do but fish can survive under water & money is no good if your down there with them..
Brian Critchley
I wonder why they didnt wait it out. Maybe an unsuspected storm coming, bringing seas worse than this.
The bloke on deck at the beginning was playing the harmonica just like when the band carried on playing when the Titanic was sinking. What a brave soul.
absolute madman
Wauuuuuu. Biurifu exelent. Vidio congratulacion like
These guys have been at sea too long and they really really really wanted to get home that evening!!! Glad they made it!!! Risky!!!
Hmmm I see why they are charging $20 for a 3 oz piece of mahi-mahi
LOL
