Great video! Question, so does the total balance column also include the income amount or should that be added to balance? For ex, in 2021 where schd had a 416k balance and 11k income (is that a total of $427k?). While the schg had 612k balance and 2.6k income (is that a total of $614.6K)?
I have both SCHG and SCHD in my Schwab IRA. SCHG being at a larger % than SCHD in my account as of now. Time will tell, I am interested to see the performance once the market is making regular gains again.
I'm thinking of dumping money into schd & schg but I'm also looking at vti which holds over 3800 stocks large cap mid cap & small cap, investing in vti will give me full market exposure 😊
I’m guessing the slight difference in expense ratio is because schd does switch up holdings to meet certain criteria when needed like it did a month ago.
Interest rates were really low for many years which helps growth stocks. It will be interesting to see how they compare from here with higher interest rates.
I am thinking 100K schd with dividend reinvested and no other money added for 25 years I am currently (35 years old) what do you think? set it and forget it not sure how much I would have at this time.
@@vg6024 That has worked out well too for some. Not a common mix, but the numbers support it works. SCHD when the USA economy is slow or moderate, and VOO when the USA is booming.
It is a good idea to combine two of them! thank you!
Coincidently i have been watching SCHD for a while and looks like a good income candidate. Thanks for the great review!
Very nice glad you got some value from the video!
How about 50% SCHD 50% SCHG retire early.

I'm thinking schd and qqq mixed

@@smittyb9418did you choose VTI because of its diversification?
Did I just watch a commercial for the QQQ?

Thank you Sir - another great compare and contrast video!
Thanks so much John! Glad you enjoyed it.

Thanks for the info, great video!
Nice thanks so much, Biz005!
Are SCHD and SCHG both qualified dividends?
Hey Kevin. Should be qualified. But not an accountant so check with someone qualified for a more reliable answer. Thanks for commenting!
What about combining schd &qqq ? It's sould be better
I just started positions in 50%VOO/20%SCHD/20%SCHG/10%APPL! 🤙🏾 with bi weekly cashflows! Sit and grow!
You forget some Tesla stocks))
Great Ray! Keep it goin!
I’m thinking of doing something similar. 40% SCHG, 40% VOO or IVV, and 20% SCHD
@@MrDarkBMwhy VOO when SCHG returns more?
Really great content !!!
Appreciate it Sunil! Thanks for watching.
SCHD all day!!
Noice!
Schx?
I’m thinking 100000 Schd, 50,000 JEPI, and 30 Schg. ? What y’all think
I would flip the JEPI and SCHG. See how JEPI performs over the next few years
SCHG if you are young and make median level income.
SCHD if you make a lot of money while young, or middle aged (40s+) with median income.
Nice analysis thanks Mr Berry!
@mr berry, what are your thoughts investing SCHD and VOO
