No worries about Adam in the background, its his home too and he's allowed to make noise.. also, we can barely hear him clapping.. ya'll are human 🥰😁 happy holidays!
What causes a publisher to want a fix to a recipe? Do they try the recipe and want a fix or do they not want certain ingredients or methods used? The whole process is so interesting.
Maybe the instructions had local terms or phrasing that needed a more universal/common set of instructions? I've been gifted some recipe cooks with that issue. And I've given recipes to family on the other side of the country and they had questions about some instructions because the word choices didn't make sense to them (but made perfect sense locally).
I’m know I’m not your mom, I’m proud 🥲 of u Iowa girl, I’m also from Iowa too!! We are all on on our own journey, thanks for sharing yours, u are a go-getter.. I can’t wait to see what u do next in your career!!!😊😊😊
I love my bread machine personally it's really nice for multitasking. I use it mainly for the dough setting so you just pump, it mixed and risen ready to bake. Yeast can be finiky for me and bread machine solves that. I have had older ones and a brand new food network one was my first in 2011. Loved them all.
I definitely feel your cookbook will be a big success jen! I cant wait to get my copy! You have been a big inspiration to me on cooking better and prepping. I know I can come here and get positive feedback and inspiration on life and everything in between! You are definitely a super woman/mom/person having all you have going on at one time. That's what us moms/ladies do. We just do what we got to do! Thank jen for all you do! 💖💖💖
I have that exact hairbrush dryer, and my hair is a lot finer than yours but I have found that I no longer need to also use my straightener! I love it!. Also, I have a bread machine but I only use it to make my dough on the dough setting. I turn whatever I'm making out to bake in my oven because I don't like how the crust comes out when it is cooked in the machine.
I LOVE my breadmaker. It’s great for my family because we don’t use a lot of bread so when I would buy a loaf from the store, half of it would go bad before we could use it. With the breadmaker I can make a loaf that suits our needs and I also use it to make pizza dough and dough for copycat Texas Roadhouse rolls and brown bread! My mom found the one I have on the fb marketplace for cheap and it had everything with it, including the original manual and a bread slicing guide thing to help you cut even slices. You don’t need a fancy or expensive one. Seriously get a cheap one and you won’t regret it. They all work the same.
Love my bread machine. I use it for white bread as well as low carb bread recipes. And a plus is how it makes the house smell. I too am so excited for your cookbook. When can we preorder? Last but not least, will your cookbook have the nutritional info listed? I never buy a cookbook without it, but even if yours doesn’t I’ll still purchase...but hopeful it will !
Heck yes...you are amazing! I’m exhausted just watching you. I love your content and can’t wait to buy your cookbook. But you have a lot going on at the moment, and your loyal followers will happily accept you scaling back a bit. Take care Jen, and look forward to following your journey xx
I LOVE my breadmaker. I only use the dough function, but it saves so much time and energy. I make bread, rolls, and/or buns for my family with it instead of buying bread. I personally think you would love it (as long as you have a designated space already where you can house it, because it is bulky).
I have a family of four, and mine can make two loaves at a time (or one loaf and some rolls), which is perfect for my needs. I can see where larger families would think it not worth the effort.
Oh my goodness, everything looks SO good!!!! I really admire your work ethic and how you "attack" the things that need to be done. Thank you very much!!!
Yes I have similar hair texture to yours and I’ve been using my, “curl blow” that’s what I call it-for years love it it’s way better than blow drying! Just a tip make sure you’re using heat protectant my stylist told me my hair was super damaged and asked what I was doing differently when I first started using this on my hair. Oops!
Congrats on your perfect storm. I'm sure your cookbook will be a success! I'm in a period of stress working full time and school full-time and watching your videos motivates me to just keep working at it. That's the only way to get it done. 🧗♀️
I only use my bread machine for dough. I bake the rolls, pizza or bread separately because I don’t like how it comes out baked in the machine. I have had a Kitchenaid bread maker and prefer the Oster I have now.
I loved having a bread machine when my three children were at home. I used it about three days a week especially when I made soup’s and spaghetti. Made the house smell so good. And the kids loved it. Since it’s my husband and I I don’t use a bread machine at all now. Hope that helps
Im so excited about your cookbook. The recipes you made in this video are everything I'd love to try and they looked amazing. Kudos to Adam for helping you and Kiera. Good dad. Loved hearing him clapping in the background. I'm going to need this cookbook. Can't wait. I'm a diabetic and low carb so I'm so anxious to try your enchilada recipe. Plus I'm going to try the homemade enchilada sauce. Your very inspiring to me.
I grew up in the Quad Cities and have been looking for a potato soup recipe for years. I will definitely buy your cookbook. Good luck on getting everything done.
So glad your marinara is going to be in your cookbook! That is one of the videos I always go find and cook especially in the summer with homegrown or farmers market tomatos. Can't wait to have your recipes in one place!!! Can't think of a more hardworking and deserving person than you. ❤❤❤❤ Thank you!
I am so excited for your cookbook! I just love that you have shared your journey with it from successes and challenges. It keeps it real, and will make it that much more special once it is available
It may feel like the perfect storm, but you are awesome at this! I cannot wait for the cookbook! Congratulations on the new job, hope you are loving it! The recipes in this vlog look so yummy, can't wait to make them. Thanks for all that you do for us!!
Can’t wait to get your cookbook. I have a question about the shrimp and grits. I’m allergic to shrimp so what could be used in place of that besides bacon? Thanks
I love your cookbook. I use it often. I make the chocolate chip blondies often... will make some more very soon. I’m also watching many of last years holiday videos. The end of September, all of October has been a nightmare. Yesterday I was going through your cookbook and placed it down next to a pioneer woman’s cookbook... your cookbook is a favourite. Xo
A local restaurant here makes something that they call pizza knuckles and I have started making them at home. I do butter, jarred minced garlic, mozzarella, Parmesan, and pepperoni. Roll just like you did and cut like you did. I use homemade pizza dough but you could make it with anything. I highly recommend trying them that way!! YUM!!
We have a bread machine and i hve been using it daily or every 2nd day to make bread, we dont buy bread anymore I love it...plus it makes soo many kinds. its a Cuisinart one.
I have the Pioneer Woman bread machine love it when I see you cooking gives me motivation to cook more I've been really enjoyed your videos keep up the good work.
I loved using a bread machine for making dough for cinnamon rolls, focaccia & pizza crust. Have you tried pushing slivers of raw garlic cloves into focaccia dough after dimpling & before the olive oil drizzle? The garlic roasts while the focaccia bakes. So good. It’s also good studded with kalamata olives. =)
Loved this video!!!! Can’t wait to be able to buy your cookbook!!!!! Do you know approximately when it will be released? Also, did I read somewhere you are looking for people to try making some recipes ahead of time?
Yes - Old Chicago has the BEST pepperoni rolls! Unfortunately they closed the one closest to me (there is another one in the town next to me but I liked the location they closed better).
This just reminded me Jen asked that. I actually just bought one at Walmart in Canada a few weeks ago and it is by Sarfrit. The Slots might be a bit bigger on the one side but I think pretty much the same.
I can't wait to get this cookbook. You have inspired me so much as a working mom I started my own channel and we post cooking videos. I can't wait to make recipes from your book for videos LOL good luck with everything!
I’ve had a bread maker and loved it.....I’ve been making baked rice for years, it’s the only way I make it now.....I’ve made those crescent danishes, so delish.....everything looked so yummy!
I have a bread maker and love it - I use it every week to make pizza dough, bake breads and even have a recipe for a knock-off Olive Garden breadstick recipe. I’ve had different brands but a few years ago I decided to spend a little more (actually quite a bit more) and get a Zojirushi and it’s worth it.
I found the box grater on Amazon and purchased it a while back. It is Prepworks by Progressive Deluxe Stainless Steel Box Grater. That is at least the one that I bought and it has the big shred side. Hope that helps everyone :)
I just checked Walmart’s website, and they have all kinds of box graters. Of course, you can always upscale, or not shop at Walmart if you think they’re practices are evil, but box graters can be found even at Kroger, Aldi, or pretty much an shop that sells that sort of thing.
You get more accomplished then anyone I know, get it girl! Excited for your book! All these recipes look so yummy! I know Old Chicago, they have the best artichoke dip! I'm actually making something like your pepparoni roll up this week but I'm using pesto and mozzarella 😊
We have a bread maker and my husband is actually really good about making loaves of bread. My kids now hate store bought bread, which I find slightly annoying at times 😂
Oh girl. I’m one of those people who like you aren’t good clearing out inboxes. I’m also one of those people though that can’t stand my phone having the notification “bubbles”. My OCD is not cool with those bubbles haha. I will just go into my inbox and mark everything as read. I don’t read them, but I need to get that notification gone. If it’s an app I will either update it if necessary or I will just open it and then fix what ever the notification is notifying me of as quick as possible. Sometimes you just need to open the app and then immediately close them. Anyone else like me?
Hi just wanted to say so happy you’re doing blog mess this month wanted to ask you are you only doing print copies of your book once he gets released or are you also doing like a Kindle format I’m asking this because I am totally blind so I can’t read the print edition just thought I would ask so thank you and hope to hear from you soon

Just curious...will your cookbook also include meal planning and meal prep tips and stuff? I’m really looking forward to buying your cookbook. I’ve enjoyed watching you cook for well over a year and have often meal prepped and planned right along with you. Really miss the closet chats with beer, lol.
i used to have a bread machine, at first I thought it was great. You go girl! Remember self care! So important! A cookbook and a new job! I admire your hard work.
Can’t wait to get your cookbook.. thank you for sharing all the work you have put into it😍
Yes..I loved Old Chicago when I was in Colorado 👍🏻

I can one. Nann$ v xx onqn the aoo is a ppny Jan
I love my bread machine for making dough but I only bake in it half the time. Really easy clean-up too.
It always amazes me how much you do! You are such an inspiration to women. Congrats on everything! I can't wait for your cookbook to come out.
I have that exact hairbrush dryer, and my hair is a lot finer than yours but I have found that I no longer need to also use my straightener! I love it!.

There is nothing better than waking up to baking bread!!! I think you would love a bread machine. Good luck on your firs day at work.

I just got a bread maker secondhand and I only used it once so far but wow talk about easy! I made just a plain white bread loaf and it was awesome!
I'm on my second bread machine I love them if you get the digital one you can preset it to be done when you want it
We always make the pepperoni rolls with the Pillsbury thin pizza crust too in the can like that - so good!!
Will the cook book be available to purchase in Canada?
Fingers crossed 😊
I only use my bread machine for dough. I bake the rolls, pizza or bread separately because I don’t like how it comes out baked in the machine. I have had a Kitchenaid bread maker and prefer the Oster I have now.
Looks so good! Ikea has a similar box grater as far as I know.
I loved having a bread machine when my three children were at home. I used it about three days a week especially when I made soup’s and spaghetti. Made the house smell so good. And the kids loved it. Since it’s my husband and I I don’t use a bread machine at all now. Hope that helps
You can buy the box grater at walmart ..less than $10..take care.

Also, I love the darker hair ☺
I would always get Old Chicago’s Stromboli with ranch on the side. Yum! We had it over in IL but we do not have it here in OH.
It may feel like the perfect storm, but you are awesome at this! I cannot wait for the cookbook! Congratulations on the new job, hope you are loving it! The recipes in this vlog look so yummy, can't wait to make them. Thanks for all that you do for us!!
You’re doing such a great job Jen. I hope you get some down time. Maybe between Christmas and New Years.
Can’t wait to get your cookbook. I have a question about the shrimp and grits. I’m allergic to shrimp so what could be used in place of that besides bacon? Thanks
Also I am with Christine for the breadmaker. I also like the crust from the oven better.
Congrats and reaching this milestone of the book! I'm sure you felt a sigh of relief. Yay for Adam 👏 and hope you have a great 1st tcday!
I did!
I love your cookbook. I use it often. I make the chocolate chip blondies often... will make some more very soon. I’m also watching many of last years holiday videos. Can't wait for the cookbook to come out. Will you also have an ebook? I live having eBooks I don't have alot of room.
I have the exact same frig and have never had any ice there....
I think it’s so impressive that you are writing a cook book! I feel like you are making progress so fast on it!
A local restaurant here makes something that they call pizza knuckles and I have started making them at home. I do butter, jarred minced garlic, mozzarella, Parmesan, and pepperoni. You are one amazing woman! Chapeau! Any chances the cookbook might also have metric measurements? Love from a German fan❤️
Those cheese danishes would be delicious with some strawberry sauce drizzled on them! All the recipes look amazing, I cant wait for the book.
Loved this video!!!! Can’t wait to be able to buy your cookbook!!!!! Do you know approximately when it will be released? Also, did I read somewhere you are looking for people to try making some recipes ahead of time?
OMG we got the brush/hair dryer. That thing is such a game changer.
Can't wait for your cookbook! Now I really want that pb banana muffin recipe.
Yes - Old Chicago has the BEST pepperoni rolls! Unfortunately they closed the one closest to me (there is another one in the town next to me but I liked the location they closed better).
I know this is a repeat but I am so excited about the cookbook! Now more so that its almost done!
Everything looks fabulous. Love the Stones T-Shirt. Not one drop of batter on the muffin tin, I bow down to you. *giggle*
Congratulations on your new job. I know you will be great at it. I love your channel and Vlogmas! I am so excited for the release of your cookbook.
Jen the box grated used to be the standard used. I often see them at Goodwillor thrift stores.
This just reminded me Jen asked that. I actually just bought one at Walmart in Canada a few weeks ago and it is by Sarfrit. The Slots might be a bit bigger on the one side but I think pretty much the same.

The blow dryer is AMAZING, I’ve used the Revlon one for years, it literally is like a salon blow out
Steven’s gratitude, hysterical!
I’ve had a bread maker and loved it.....I’ve been making baked rice for years, it’s the only way I make it now.....I’ve made those crescent danishes, so delish.....everything looked so yummy!

I make several versions of the pepperoni rolls for parties. My favorites are artichoke spinach and mushroom and gruyere. They are always a hit.
I found the box grater on Amazon and purchased it a while back. It is Prepworks by Progressive Deluxe Stainless Steel Box Grater. That is at least the one that I bought and it has the big shred side. Hope that helps everyone :)
I saw home made goat cheese balls on a Cosori air fryer Facebook page. They looked amazing!
I love my bread machine I use it all the time for dough

Hi just wanted to say so happy you’re doing blog mess this month wanted to ask you are you only doing print copies of your book once he gets released or are you also doing like a Kindle format I’m asking this because I am totally blind so I can’t read the print edition just thought I would ask so thank you and hope to hear from you soon
I can't wait to get your cookbook, I've been looking for a potato soup recipe and this looks yummy! I love your channel and all the cooking you help us with, I am a hot mess in the kitchen and your channel has been such a blessing, thank you!
Can you share the focaccia bread recipe you use? Or is this something that will be in your cookbook?? Thank you!
This was a great video. Loved all the cooking. Cannot wait for your cookbook!
I am so excited as well about your cookbook!! I can't wait!!
Then I found easy overnight bread recipes and foccoia, I never wanted to clog my counter with them again. if you want to make a lot of sandwich style breads or quick breads its good for the hands off nature of it. But you get a better product with other methods.
I Love watching you knowing you are rubbing Murphy at the same time! Your cookbook is gonna be awesome!
seriously can't wait for the cookbook, so proud of you and I know it is always nerve raking trying something new but you always seem to excel at what you do so I'm sure it is going to be amazing!
I love your vlogs and you made my 2020 way much better and you motivate me a single mom of two to do more than my 8 to 5 job
Well done Jen ! Hello from down under, would it be possible to put some substitutions in your cook book for those that can't get your certain groceries , many thanks 😁
I love my blow out brush. I have extremely long hair and it helps control the frizz and tangles and saves time when straightening.
The recipes look delicious. I have a bread machine and i use it all the time.
I have a bread machine. I really like it especially for pizza dough, you just put the ingredients in and in awhile you have dough, it's fail proof.
I can't wait for your cookbook to come out. I love to cook. The recipe that you were making on this looks so good I think I would like to try them. I hope your book will be available in Canada?
If not I will have to get it shipped to my aunt and the. Have her forward it to me.
So so so so excited for the cookbook! Maybe this will take the cake for my favorite day of your vlogs this month, early to call it but I loved hearing your thought process on the book!!! Happy first week of your new job, too!
Wow that concept of 1 set of ingredients is genius!!
Wishing you a wonderful first day at your new job, is it closer to home so you won’t have such a long commute?
Love watching you cook 👩🍳 they all looks delicious
