    I'm so angry at this whole situation, from how it was so poorly handled from the beginning to these deranged fans with their vile behaviour towards Seunghan. Companies need to learn how to draw the line and not pander to damaging toxic nonsense

    Not a fan of Riize either, but have been following this poor dudes saga for the last few months. Couldn't have imagined it take such a horrific turn. I feel so bad for this kid. I mean, hes still pretty young. Its shocking the things some korean fans do to idols. The funeral wreaths are a level of deplorable like ive yet to see. I hope he blows ups up either as a solo star or actor. He's pretty attractive and can probably go either route. I highly doubt SM will bring him back and fuck em for not taking down those wreaths immediately. I cant believe they left them up for him to see. They can all go kick rocks. Except for seunghan. All the best to him.

    I'm over here wondering if it's a bit weird to know the name of an actor's dog, while they're over there sending a thousand funeral wreaths to a company just bc their parasocial paramour has a gf.

      I kinda feel like Seunghan, himself, kind of made peace with the fact that he may not be coming back to Riize because it genuinely seemed at one point, that SM had no intention of bringing him back (They couldn't even have done it for Riize's 1st year anniversary).
      Until Taeil was officially charged and in that same week, we are suddenly getting the announcement. I even think the Riize members found out at the same time we did cause it was so sudden.
      Now the minority group of OT6 stans bombarded him with backlash and hate that SM made no effort to protect him from. I don't even blame him for deciding to leave because he probably did not even expect to be called back and to make matters worse, he had to deal with all that backlash by himself. 😢

    I said it once and I will say it again, most of the people that are ot6 are most likely teens. And while they can sue, they won't get more than a slap on the wrist. And they know that. So they can comfortably behave like this, knowing that they can't get in any real trouble. What they seem to not understand is that when they reach their adult years, this can and will, bite them in the ass.

    These crazy fans are a worldwide embarrassment to the nation of South Korea, I've heard the toxic fans say "It's our culture, you wouldn't understand." So your culture is a culture of bullying? You criticize artists when someone accuses them of bullying and turn around and bully someone to leaving their group. You hypocrite.

    • @kimh7577
      @kimh7577 Месяц назад +4

      I have read those comments online from Koreans defending their toxic culture and it doesn't make sense. Toxic behaviour should never be part of one's culture or have a place among humanity. This hatred that spews forth from people towards someone who is not fulfilling their delusional idea of an idol...it's scary and harmful. 1st and 2nd gen artists or anyone with balls needs to step up and show support to him.

      I have seen this argument too and it's so ridiculous. Organized bullying is your "culture"? Expecting idols to live a life that is completely and utterly dedicated to the interests of their fans in every aspect? Maybe this is controversial to say as a non-Korean, but if this is your culture, then this particular aspect of your culture sucks and is tangibly harmful and needs to change.

    I feel really bad for Seunghan. Idols are held to an impossible standard. It's not just the dating. Dating should not be criminalized for idols. What kills me is that every transgression, real or imagined, is potentially career ending. Everything gets blown up. Lucas made mistakes, but it was blown up like he was a horrible person and not some barely adult kid. He messed up, but his brain was literally not fully developed yet. How many of us can say we made all the right choices when we were in our late teens and early 20s.
    In Kpop it's like everything is all good until you get caught being human.

    I don't even understand why SM isn't defending him. I mean, I get if he left because of him seeing the wreath and caring for his mental health. But why can't SM defend him?? Why can't SM make a statement to stop ruining Seunghan or there'd be lawsuit?
    Also, in my honest opinion, I kinda have doubt with Seunghan going solo because there'd be two scenarios:
    1. Going solo in the same company that barely protects you
    2. Going solo in another company, except there's a high possibility of being blacklisted (example: Jessica Jung)

  • @mismismism

    Kpop stans are insane, these companies need to stop apologizing and making these idols apologize when they didn't do anything wrong. The Taeil thing is actually a perfect example, he didn't even have to issue a statement. Meanwhile he got kicked out for smoking(which loads of other idols and Korean celebrities do openly) and dating a girl in his past. That is insane and disgusting. These companies need to stand up for their employees in situations like this and tell the fans they will come after them legally if they harass them like this.
    Really out here acting like he did criminal activity worse than S.A.

      By sending those wreaths, they are basically wishing death upon him. 😭 Which is genuinely insane when you look at the fact, that the reason why they hate him soooo much is because he's done things that the average Korean man has done. The promotion of Parasocial relationships and purity culture in Kpop is what has led kpop fans to see Kpop idols as their property.

    this is why there's a boycott going on now sm fails to protect the idols they need to protect and keep idols like taeil under the company even if they're no longer members of their group bc of serious crimes the boycott from ot6 briizes pales in comparison to what international stans could do if we work together to boycott sm there's already one but i fear it won't last orbits have proved it's possible and we should follow in their footsteps i'm not a briize and have never been one but i do stan some sm groups this affects them too and many other groups so i hope we can successfully boycott sm by withholding our money don't stream or buy anything from any sm group and don't interact with content unfollow or block if you have to there's ways around it where you can still listen to your faves while boycotting by using soundcloud or burning cds (be careful if you burn cds tho it releases toxic chemicals) i'm so tired of sm and korean stans getting away with this seunghan leaving is my last straw

Why didn’t they stand firm in their decision to bring him back. Once fans know they can’t get away with this behavior they will eventually have to stop. @@nanjeilquality Thank you for explaining the support for Seunghan. By any chance, do you understand the OT6 mentality ? I just don't get it. From what I've heard, these OT6 fans were mostly formed during his absence. Therefore, they're use to the 6 member Riize.
      They say things like, since Seunghan has only been active for 2 mths - it would take away the credit, or damage the hard work done by the other six members. Seunghan coming back is gonna ruin the group chemistry. Or him coming back, is gonna stress the other members...
      Which I find to be utter nonsense. Bottom line, they have no true concern for Riize.
      Their only concern is to themselves.
      I've heard from another youtuber, perhaps this situation can be uno reversed in a month, if we all unite and boycott SM. Who knows, since this crazy sh*t has gone down. Maybe a miracle can happen.

      @nanjeilquality 29 дней назад +2

      @@SpringNotes their mentality is that they're crazy. that's it.
      a lot are solo stans or shippers. so they see his return as damaging their idols reputation by association. and therefore think that getting him kicked off is them doing what's best for their idol.
      they like to say it's "korean culture" but this has received attention from the korean general public and most of them are appalled by this.
      everything you said also correct.
      they have said and done so many harmful terrible things it's hard to even list out though I have personally seen it all. and after they are receiving backlash and are unable to do anything concrete for riize voting, streaming and purchasing wise they are posting hollow apologies (in which still manage to paint seunghan as the bad guy) and asking ot7 for help. they are incomprehensibly bizarre.
      ot7 stans are trying their best. intl fan culture doesn't really do these organized things as frequently as k and c fans, plus intl means so many different countries languages cultures opinions. but we are trying our best to do as much as we can.
