He was anti communist and you can check it out in the commentary of his own green book ... and I'm from libya and I listen to all of his Arabic speeches , he's socialist but not in a communist way ! It's so deep and different and it needs to be clarified in a discussion not a youtube comment ...
@@najem_tarhuni from my understanding he is more against groups like Trotskyists and what I would describe as modern maoists. The Trotskyites hold an extremely international thinking so far that it neglects and shuns national identity. The maoists are extremely odd in their emphasis on class and being way to dogmatic. These are those who are very communist sounding and openly very communist. But Marx and other thinkers explained that communism was the stage after socialism within the structure of society. Ie the change in class relations after socialism was settled for a some time. Gadaffi does not really stand opposed to that nor really have too much of an opinion on that, leading into my understanding that he is not opposed to communism but opposed to those dogmatic communists.
@@comradecracker447 actually , gaddafi in the green book commentary he said that he is against Marxism and he wrote his philosophical opinion about it ... I studied gaddafi very closely and I read all of the books that was printed by ( the universal center of the green book studies and researches ) + all of his lectures in Arabic ... So unfortunately i can tell you that he was against communism with all of its types ... But he's still a socialist
He wasn't against communism later and was a great socialist leader who followed all socialist principles
Socialism and communism isn't the same thing at all ( especially in gaddafi's philosophy in the green book )

I hate how they tried to pin him against communism. As if he was an "anti communist". Clearly that was not a good enough way to put it.

I dont like how they framed im into saying he was an anti communist. Clearly that was not the most appropriate and best phrase to use.
