Wow, thats fantastic. No paracord. No tarp. For an inside daytime light source I've seen people in the shantytown of Mumbai, India using plastic drink bottles filled with a mixture of water and bleach which in your case would be stuck thru the walls near the top. Works really well during the day, and you have your lanterns for night. Awesome.

Excelente la técnica de construcción del refugio y la forma de aprovechar los recursos que hay a la disposición, es impresionante el viento que sopla en ese lugar, aquí en mi país hay un lugar que se llama Tierras Morenas en Tilaran, y sopla un viento parecido, de hecho lo aprovechan para producir energía Eólica, felicitaciones por el video, saludos desde Costa Rica!!!!

Nice build. But seems like further down the hill would offer more protection from the wind

I would copy this build in a heart beat. Simple and sturdy for the environment. I really dislike sharp high winds like this Andes locale, physiological challenges like the winds make are hard. This hut would cover almost all the bases!

Do you or your dog eat food? Do you cook in there? That bread looks good! I think the hut is good protection from the wind, especially in the Andes, but I don’t think it would work in a windy rain storm.
