Thanks for the test, I just discovered your channel. It's actually pretty hard to find some comparisons regarding this microphone. I would have liked to see it compared to others that are still important on the market like the Elgato Wave 3 which I own, and that I don't necessarily need since I have a stream deck plus which provides the wavelink software. Still I'm curious to see if that MV6 would be an upgrade or not, and I'm not ready to go the XLR route.
I think the MV6 is going to be slightly better than the Elgato. However, I don't think it's worth making the switch. The real upgrade is the MV7+. You can start by using it with USB and later switch to XLR.
Thanks for the video! Both sounds great. I need a mic for my youtube channel and also for covering mma and boxing events from home, I work only with USB, and was struggling with my samson meteor mic. Do you think that shure mv6 is enough for covering mma as a commentator? Or it's better to overpay for mv7 plus? Considering that I only use usb

No i think it sucks for its price point and there are better alternatives if u just want usb then i dont see why not but i would save an extra 20 dollars if ur really willing to dish that kind of money for a beacon mic if u have xlr interface and cannot affort sm7b there are better alternatives like shures mv7x althought that too is overated but produces good quality but there are other options like aston stealth or aston condenser mic or rode pro caster or used mics u can find at gituar. center that produce much better quality than mv6 . it also matters if you care about look of mic
Thanks, I think im gonna buy the mv7 over the s7mdb

I think this is hard to gauge because I don't know what distance you were from the microphones.
