      My dad is a retired auto shop teacher! I talk him in to my DIY antics every now and again!! I like doing DIY videos because other youtubers posting DIYs have helped me so many times. I know my DIY videos are for a select audience, so I never expect everyone to watch them but I appreciate you guys checking it out and commenting!! =)

    Good video. Only two things I'd recommend:
    1. Removing, cleaning and lubing the caliper pins and replace w/new boots
    2. Use Akebono brake pads. You won't be disappointed.

    Very Good Video. Good Details. It was very important that you included the year models in the title.
    All the steps you did right but i would go further and apply grease ( like Copper Anti Sieze ) to the back of the pads & the Pad clips. Also very important to clean the old grease from the Caliper slide pins & apply fresh grease ( SIL-GLYDE) and that will keep the pins from lamming an keep a firm brake pedal.

    Nice video. Thanks for the torque tips. So many people just tighten and forget it. My calipers rooters torque was off a bit. It caused wheel wobble. Almost like the beginning of the death wobble. Torque them to specs and no more wobble.
    Again great video.

  • @bc4evernow
    @bc4evernow Год назад

    Get oem break equipment and lube them guide pins. That's the reason the pads were so uneven. Heavy front end will destroy them cheapo breaks

      my oem pads had 51k miles. what happens is the indicators rust or break off and you dont realize until you get metal on metal. Thanks for the video. My weaver pads werent labeled inner or outer and this video confirmed orientation. I needed a 5 foot breaker bar to break the caliper bolts loose. 2014 f250. Thanks for torque settings, saved me a search.

      @@MileHighCampers I just suck at fixing stuff on my truck. I'm sure I was being an asshole when I said this. I do remember it was pain stakingly hard for me to get it back together. Maybe next time I will be better but I doubt it hahaha Thanks for the video and sorry. It looks like I was hurting and being a dick my brother.
