- This is a video guide on how to unlock manufactory locations without having to pvp in the hostile takeover events for the helm empire in the Skull & Bones Ubisoft pirate game. This is to unlock more locations to grind the pieces of eight currency.

I hate pvp to as we are pirates against the corporate, But know this many let you just do the take over as you manage one a time and there is mostly 3. If you see Ivar Greycloak coming fret not as you have it !
I want to thank you for your tip. I've been playing for a little bit and I didn't understand why I wasn't able to get any of the factories. I'm going to follow your instructions and try that way and hopefully it gain more factories

I always end up in these solo.. and I find destroying the repair ship first helps. Also, there's a weak spot on the deck of the main ship that I think will disable their regen if destroyed. The weak spot respawns, so always look to nuke it. Even if I'm wrong, it's still a weak point and therefore bonus damage! BTW, this applies to some other ships in other events that self-heal.
Also soloed a bunch of them, same strategy as in the video, works everytime
I was wondering what that blue one was for… nobody I ever encountered wanted to help and my solo attempts bore no fruit. That seems way safer and lucrative than scrapping other players for a port but whatever
Yeah I think people just don't realise what it's for yet
Bad part is you can 3 man it and it only drops the factory for one person
@@neverending5316 Incorrect, all 3 can pick it up and get it. I've done it several times now
@ConCon the ubisoft video said it only drops for one person maybe it was outdated, ty for info
@@neverending5316 Maybe but I've handed it in every time even when I wasn't the first to loot it. But you only get it if you join the event as one of the 3 participants.

I have one more location to complete Red Isles as a PVE player whom has solo'd all heists to get them. I use a raider build on a Brig and just stay close, mobile, and beat the crap out of them, having only failed 2 times due to reinforcements and locals jumping in - or - getting sniped by several long gunners before I realized it. It is very satisfying and excellent PVE.

The Royal Custodian seems to drop anytime you do a blue quest, no matter which one you do.. It's a decent hull to pick up too.

@@ConConYeah. I am not entirely sure which one I did exactly but fairly sure you can get it from any co-op event as I have seen others get it at other events as well.
@@ConCon I believe I got my first one from colonial shipment (blue mission).
That pestilence boss ship is insanely hard to beat.
You have to be able to do it alone for some guys will join in and wont come to the location. They will let you do the work and will get the manofactory either way. There is a big bunch of unsocial players out there. Did it two times completely by my self. Pirates life
Yeah I did most of them alone too but thats because no one else had joined them
So with a lease do I have to go to direct manufactory site or just use table?
Just got the royal custodian today ! i was lucky other ships were there to battle with me. i am level 11 though but needed that amour.

you should focus on level three or four of your factories to lvl 7 they fund longer and can store SO Much more PO8
Yeah but they are expensive to upgrade. I recommend upgrading ones closer to the dens
i seem to get constantly destroyed by bombards in pvp. any tips for ship equipment and weapons?
Bracing is VERY important before you get hit
Zamzama III is a great weapon for the sides. I love bombard on front, rockets on auxiliary, and long gun on back.
Fire bombard III front and fire bombard II on back because I don't have scurlocks long nines for back. I have termites II for auxiliary

I guess you need to progress through the story line first because when I click on the map and then at the top click on the octopus icon (next to the map icon) I'm taken to the 'Smugglers Pass' page. Nothing like what you show in the vid.

Do the manufacturers only produce PO8 or they do they also produce the products like White and Gold Rum?

I unlocked almost all of them in the Red Isle region via hostile takeover events, with just me in them.
Nice I often find 2-3 players in most of them on my servers.
How do you do the hostile takeover when it's just you?? I was in it last night by myself but I failed. Do I need to destroy everything/all npcs within the time limit?
@TheMoistDonuts yes. You just need to do a certain amount of damage before time runs out. So slaughter everything. It's basically a plunder, but with other players trying to kill you. But if you're the only player it's super easy.
@BeardifulBill I found it difficult because all the npc ships in area were lvl 10 and I'm only 8 lmao
I'm trying to get my ship to 10 but it's hard because I can't upgrade to fire bombard 3s or flood demi 3s because I can only get them from the helm market.
I need better armor too so I need to farm royal custodian from French Co op convoy but there isn't anyone ever around to help me lol

The pvp event is extremely unpopular so you do em solo most of the time. In addition this empire thing is actualy not very efficiant its better just to do the smugling runs.
You can do both during the 30 minute cooldown and waiting for the manufactories to fill up.

I'm confused, my map shows no 4th icon for the helm/empire map. Only the usual 4. Additionally I've been watching the empire map (via the smuglers den) for over an hour without any of the pvp or co-op missions popping up. Except that cargo hunt pvp event. Any ideas what I'm missing?
Have you finished all the helm quests in the game that unlock it?
if i win the blue, or even the red, i never unlock it. no mather what i do
Just did one after watching this, only 1 other guy turned up so 3 are not needed, only he made it to the den & I got the unlock so only 1 has to make it to the den it appears.
Yeah but you can't do MORE than 3 is what I was trying to say haha
why does his map show a timer for when the takeovers show, but mine doesn’t have a timer?

The "next takeover opportunity" countdown notice isn't showing on my map. Is there something I have to do to get that to show up? I'm on PS5, might that make a difference?
Nevermind, I figured it out (but I'll leave this up in case someone else has the same question). You just have to progress the Helm missions far enough for the countdown to show up.
Yeah you need to fully unlock the helm system by doing the helm quests
Also, I noticed this issue but with all of my helm missions complete. Sometimes the game will bug and you e got to restart to reset it showing up for you.
whats the best guns to have on the sides and front part im currently trying to get the bombardier it took 4 tempts to get the blueprint yeah i need help to get blueprints for guns/cannons im on xbox if theres anyone who could help someone weak as me thanks
I honestly like the bombard on front, culverins on sides and mortar in middle

@@ConCon but for some reason I can’t see hostile take overs idk when they are going to happen or where the alert doesn’t pop up.
I‘ve been trying to get that level 4 manufactury(the fort you attack with scurlocks ship) for like 2 days now but the event just doesn‘t pop up and it‘s the only one I‘m missing. Is this a bug?
Its random which ones become up for grabs every 30 min, might just be unlucky
Did you ever get that fort to unlock? I’ve got the exact same issue. It’s the only one in red isle I don’t have and I already have all the African ones. It’s gotta be glitched or something…looking for a solution.

Watch out for secure chest glitch do not accept mission if it glitches you can’t accept take overs or the blue quests this guy’s mentioning absolutely ridiculous that it hasn’t been fixed basically if you accept your supposed to secure a chest from another player and or vise Versa however if it doesn’t sow you the icon where to go or that person logs out your completely screwed

This game is needlessly complicated, so it’s even worse that so little of its mechanics are explained properly within the game. We are forced to rely on other users making explanatory videos. As this one shows, even the video makers don’t know everything and rely on comments to get a better understanding. Considering how long it took to develop this game, the situation is quite pathetic.

Because I have no interest in PvP. I play this game just to sail around and relax. If I want to PvP, I think other games offer a much better experience.

It takes 30 minutes to do a next one, I have done some on pvp and its just a I sink you, you sink me, I sink you, you sink me and now we both at 10% hull health lmao.
@@ConCon 30mins but when u go on that hostile takeover the countdown starts already for next one soo when u do one takeover u have like 15mins for new one, soo go resuply for sugar to fill up that time cuz u gonna need plenty of suggar. i got all manufactories from red island within 2 sessions about 6-9hrs total...and fought only for like 4 of then..lost only 1-2 times... but what are we talkin about anyway this game sucks and i play it only because i have no other pirate game with RPG style.
