Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Part 2 has just released and Roxy and Rudeus Greyrat have reunited in Mushoku Tensei Episode 21! Mushoku Tensei is the hit Isekai airring in Spring to Summer 2024 and is one of the biggest Anime, Light Novel's, and Manga of all time. Mushoku Tensei Reactions, Reviews, and Analysis videos comparing it to Frieren have gone on forever and I believe Mushoku Tensei is better than Frieren in some ways.

I don't know how Mushoku Tensei could surpass Frieren's use of time when its the latter's focus, but I do agree that Mushoku Tensei is just smooth with it. I mean, this is an autobiography, covering Rudy's life from his birth to his death. Everyone ages up, the world ages up, everything changes. You don't see that often.
I’m currently reading the LN and it’s insane how good the world building and how detailed the character relationships are in mushoku tensei. Whenever rudi is on a adventure he doesn’t just ends up from place A to B. The journey itself gives so much lore to the world, like everything feels alive and makes sense even tho there is magic involved. Usually I’m not much of a reader, but with this one I gobble that sh!t up.

The novel is older than Frieren and it is known to be one of the best isekai novels that kicked things off when I was first getting into LN and Wuxia.
Frieren is an amazing anime for sure, I really do believe it deserves the #1 anime of all time slot but at the same time Mushoku Tensei's writer is more skilled, there is no author in Japan with more attention to detail and ability to add development then Rifujin.

She didn't arrive at the same time Rudy got reincarnated into this world, she came here at the exact moment the Mana Disaster happened, which was 6 years ago. It's still a very long time to be living in a world that you don't like and have no magic or power to defend yourself with.
And she got protection of the second strongest in the world that can rival 5 god below combined

Watching frieren like seeing very beautiful scenery, landscape etc, it beautiful, it calm my heart, it give me a lesson, while watching mushoku tensei literally watching a human life, u see that human grow, do a mistake, try harder, fix his mistake, and life at their fullest.

I mean, I watched the first episode, had to stop because of how weird he was. Rewatched it fully after a friend demanded I do so, and immediately fell in love. Rudeus was seemingly irredeemable at the start. The fact he does redeem himself is actually why I love this show so much

And the fact that he is able to become one is the redemption in our eyes but its just him correcting his mistakes not for redemption but for his and his loved ones sakes. No nanahoshi did not nuke the world it was whoever summoned the 3 kids and rudeus's soul. And she has not been waiting for 16 years. Orsted found her when he went to investigate the mana catastrophe.

Something I’d like to say about the inconsistency in my lore points that are an obvious mistake in the script is the fact that I tried to do it purely off memory and was pretty scared to verify the info from google because of spoilers as I’ve already had a ton of stuff spoiled for me from just pulling images and stuff but still at the end of the day it’s my bad but the comments seem to be here to fact check me so it’s all good and sorry I don’t use commas😂

Decent video. Though there are a number of inaccuracies that could have been addressed in the scripting stage had you done a bit more research. Nanahoshi has been in the MT world for 6 years at that point, not 16. She appeared during the Teleportation Incident when Rudy was 10, who is now 16 by the time they meet.
Less minor correction is that this is Season 2 cour 2, which you get correct in your video description yet consistently misspeak in the video itself, but presumably most people will understand what you mean based on the events being discussed. I genuinely thought this video was going to be about events AFTER this season rather than the current one since it's still in the title though.
Also your conclusion regarding Zenith... uh. You should read up on what death flags and foreshadowing are. Next week's episode is definitely gonna be a surprise for you if you're that confident in your conclusion. Additionally, while your delivery is fine, quite a bit of this video is just regurgitating the plot beat for beat which most people watching are already aware of, rather than the actual juicy bits of commentary or insight you hope to provide. I think it took Rudeus and Eris 3 years to return to the Fittoa region. You really feel time a lot more on the light novel. I specially felt the time it took for Rudeus and Roxy to reunite. Not only did it take 11 years in the story, but in the books Roxy leaves on volume 1 and only meets Rudeus until volume 12. It feels like ages by the time you get there...
Correction about the time its actually 6 years not 16 years because the mass teleporter disaster happened when rudeus was 10 years old

Mushoku tensei wasn’t just the one to take ideas of the genre and make them interesting, it was the first to do many of those ideas, and did them the best, for example it was one of if not the first to have an adventure guild, alongside other things

Wait I just noticed, in the anime, it mentions that teleportation circles have time gaps, which leads to someone arriving delayed. So basically she just stepped on a large ahh /tp mushoku magic circle.
Nanahoshi hasn't been there for 16 years, only 6 because she got sent to the world latter then rudeus and and caused the teleportation incident.
Well, Mushoku Tensei does make you think of mortality by the end of the story (just like Frieren). You'll have to reach volume 26 to know what I mean though.

Nanahoshi was not in the world for 16 years. She got transported into the world much later. She was transported when the Teleportation Catastrophe happened.
I feel like I need to clarify that Nanahoshi didn't create the displacement incident (Rudy did lolz). I won't go into details, but Rudy got killed by Truck-Kun, that's why he was reborn. Nanahoshi was just teleported after Rudy saved her.
Rudy was born, and then when the displacement incident happened that's when Nanahoshi was teleported to the Six-Sided World. So she essentially was thrown 5 years into the world's future.
So she has only been there for 10 years at the point we are in the anime, and she had Papa Orsted, so it's not SOOOOOO bad lol

Ahh I get it now, Frieren's thesis about time is one where there are no more stakes (since Himmel is gone) and she'll just have to learn from those mistakes and appreciate the present moment.
Likewise a story like Vinland Saga uses time in a different way but similar to Frieren where Thorfinn learns that it is such a waste of time and energy to be fixated on hatred and revenge when you can be on the present moment making yourself a better person and/or improving the world around you bit by bit.
Mushoku Tensei uses Rudy and Nanahoshi's story to make a thesis about time by giving them life changing decisions throughout the story, similar to how Eren had many choices with how he should go about using his power. Which also reminds me of Gardar from Vinland Saga leaving his family to pursue a better life only to end up regretting it, (similar to Rudy's decision to leave his family to rescue Zenith).
I digress, basically I agree with everything you said but this just further confirms even more why Frieren is such a massive success and why Mushoku Tensei feels underrated (though it is probably because the anime studio didn't do much justice to the source material).
It's hard to compare two stories from one another when there main narratives and messages are drastically different in execution even when the lessons being portrayed feel so similar.

Nanahoshi was not reincarnated, she was summoned there. Her summoning was the mass teleportation event. She hasn't been there for 16 years at that point in the story it was more like 10 to 11 years. since Rudy was like 5 during the mana disaster which brought Nanahoshi to that world. Which she was 16 then. She just doesn't age. So in season 2 Rudy is 15 to 16 and Nanahoshi is about 26 to 27.

I dont quite think the same you do sick editing dude but mushoku tensei is quite different to frieren yet a bit similiar with the whole point of frieren using you time to learn to love people around you and not waste it and mushoku with using the time you have to do similiar things but the over all scope and perspective is just not the same. Frierens view of time as being nearly limitless and at a moments pass everyone you love is already in a grave where as to rudy wasting the only time he had on being the worst person he could be because he could not face the past. She was summond from japan arrownd the same time when Rudeus died.
But she arrived to the world 10 years after Rudeus becouse time flows diferent in both worlds and unlike Rudeus Nanahoshy kept her human body with no mana or extraordinary properties and the backlash of her summoning is what caused the Mana disaster, so it was not her fault she is allso a victim.
So by the time she spoke with Rudeus at the university she has onlly been living in that world for 5 to 6 years.

Aside from the Animation of FRIEREN which I genuinely like and which Madhouse as a studio was known at, nothing from it came interesting to me as an anime watcher since the early 90s in the times of OG Rurouni Kenshin, DB and Yu Yu Hakusho. It's flashback after flashback of Himmel and/or their party time to time similar to Tokyo Revengers.
Interactions are even too short for characters and World Building is so MID sorry!!! Where did Kraft come from and why didn't he know Serie or Frieren to think that they are the same elves and are all above 1000yrs old. Where did Flamme and her family come from. Other heroes of the past which have little to no known information. Frieren was at the heroes party who defeated the Demon king not more than 100yrs ago but literally no one remembers her as she was even considered the last great Sage except Serie and Denken which he himself is a well known mage. What's the connection of the Demon King to Serie to think that Serie can be considered similar to a God already as all knowing as she can be.
There are so many inconsistencies about FRIEREN like Demon Slayer but due to its excellent animation it is highly regarded today.
Sure, we have different tastes in Anime, but Anime with exceptional writing and world building with the likes of Mushoku Tensei, FMAB, Stein's gate, Monster, AoT, Deathnote, Berserk, Vinland Saga, Gintama, Guren Lagan, HxH, Cowboy bebop, Onepiece and a few more are just too good and even underrated for this new generations taste and it's understandable.
