    That really is quite a cave discovery. But then, the hike is a “quite” too.

      @EvenDarker  10 месяцев назад +6

      I think we could have shortened the hike if we knew a better route. But it's an 8 Mile minimum.
      *That last room which I crawled down in the crack of was unbelievably narrow and rough. Would never do that without these guys.

    RUclips has come out and said comments don't have any weight to the algorithm... but.... they aren't being fully truthful .... what it does is it brings people back to the video multiple times to argue in the comments... driving views up and making it seem like they keep coming back, and can drive their individual retention beyond 100% .. and that's where the algorithm weight comes from.

    • @EvenDarker
      @EvenDarker  10 месяцев назад +2

      Perhaps that's true. But I never give it much thought. Like, we don't need Channel growth for views. We like that people like it and we like the people interacting comment. But this is not something I encourage.

      Thank you! Productions been a little slow. RUclips isn't really my life priority but we do have some videos getting ready for the main channel. They should be sufficiently terrifying. I think it's our best work ever I don't know if the algorithm will care but eventually... it should be pretty cool.

    would you ever do underwater cave diving? it seems a lot more dangerous.

    • @EvenDarker
      @EvenDarker  10 месяцев назад +7

      Since there's no underwater caves near where we live, I have absolutely no frame of reference for what that's like.
      But sometimes our caves fill up with water and I've crawled through them without diving equipment. That seemed fun enough but I wouldn't want to do it on the regular. Cuz it's dirty and cold.

    Hey guys, I am visiting Oregon next month, what easy to find/fun cave would you recommend me? I am very experienced but never done lava caves..

    • @EvenDarker
      @EvenDarker  10 месяцев назад

      "Easy to find" is not a term I have ever heard for caving in this area.
      Where at in Oregon? Southern Oregon is mostly small Limestone caves, which are extremely difficult to find. There's also a large lava bed in Northern California. Those are easy to find but a bit of a drive. Mid and East Oregon is generally lava, and your best bet for locating caves on Google.
      And how far are you willing to travel? It's a big state. Most of the caves are private. Public caves include the Oregon Caves as well as a few in the Bend Oregon area. Those can be found on google.
      Most public caves close on November 1st for winter for bats and snow reasons. In fact most caving in the Pacific Northwest becomes difficult right about now as temperatures drop and the caves are below snow levels in the mountains.

      @@EvenDarker thanks for your reply, I will be driving across the state into Washington, following highway 1, but I didn’t think about the snow tbh. I will do a bit of research on google, though I think Northern California might be the best bet.
