    #1 Proven Trumpet Course To Quickly Improve High Notes, Power, and Endurance! trumpetsizzle.com
    Did you know that I created what has now become the NUMBER 1 Embouchure Improvement Course Of All Time? It's true! Why not fact check it? Kurt Thompson's 16 Week Upper Register Course began in 2009 and has now (2021) been taught to well over 1000 students. Almost half of those students took the course live each week with Kurt and the other half did it on their own with the video tutorials!
    FACT CHECK: When trying to determine what is the BEST anything today, look for reviews, but BE CAREFUL: Written reviews can be faked, right? Still, many times we only have written reviews to go on at places like Amazon. REAL VIDEO REVIEWS BY REAL PEOPLE that got the product or became the student is the TRUE WAY to 100% fact check something.
    Currently there are tons of video reviews by students from 15 years of age up to 88 years of age that have had tremendous success with Kurt Thompson's Course! CHECK HERE: ruclips.net/p/PL0PQUYopKD-L2Vj0awGJK9NNY96hVFaTY
    The other method would be cash sales. NOBODY comes close to matching the record setting sales of the 16 Week Upper Register Course! NADA!
    If you find someone who tries to make that claim, check out their student video reviews with the student doing some playing...THEY DON'T EXIST!
    CAREFUL: Be leery of trumpet teachers, courses, programs that have a lot of celebrity trumpet players giving an endorsement! Almost ALWAYS that endorsement is paid or because they are friends with the teacher. Think about it: If Wayne Bergeron gave a thumbs up on some teacher's course, did he actually go through the entire course and test it out? YOU KNOW HE DID NOT! His friend showed him the course. He browsed through it. Said: Hmmm ok, looks good! BE LEERY when you see that. Nothing wrong with friends helping each other out, but for YOU the student, you can easily be misled by putting too much weight on these famous trumpet friends.
    I am happy to have you try to find a course that competes with the 16 Week Upper Register Course. Don't bother trying to find one that supersedes it. That won't happen. However, if you can find one that has some decent competition, leave a comment. Decent competition does not mean written reviews, celebrity reviews, or even people just talking about it. It means legit music students PLAYING and DEMONSTRATING the success they had while taking the course! You find that? Let us know!
    INTERESTED? You should be! Did you know you can take a small sample of the course just to get an idea if it is for you? It is only a sample. Don't expect anything from the sample, but to give you an idea of how the course is. CHECK OUT THE SAMPLE: trumpetsizzle.com/products/sample-week-11-new-revised-upper-register-course-for-all-brass-musicians-2019
    Speak italiana, español, portugués? The 16 Week Upper Register Course has been fully translated to Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Know anyone who would learn better with their native language in the subtitles? trumpetsizzle.com/collections/trumpet-lessons-translated-to-italiana-espanol-portugues
    Fact check, Be Skeptical, but in the end, you will come back to the 16 WEEK UPPER REGISTER COURSE for trumpet and all brass musicians as the NUMBER 1 embouchure improvement course on the planet!

      jean paul is messing up that quality to cost scale....they will be taking over at some point. with a new mouth peice, and little tune work, the TS400 tenor sax, sounds identical to a Yaga Sax at 3500-4000 dollars, and the keys are just as good, clean, no slug in the sax...
      Same for the trumpet, my first learned instrument, swap the springs, and oil it. 3000 dollar sound for 200-300 dollars.

    • @stevenl1706
      @stevenl1706 2 года назад

      @@GarbageKnight you think that simply switching out the springs with valve springs from a Bach strad will really make the difference? Because it’s not just the valves that make the sound that comes out of the bell, as is clearly demonstrated in this video of someone who already can play professionally.
      I’m just curious because I actually have the $400 version of this trumpet in silver in their T-450S series (looks like the one used in this video was from the T-200 series). The sound is great (though I do tend to use a monette mpc which sharpens my tone and resonance), but if getting Bach valve springs would really make that much of a difference, I’m open to the possibility.

    Thank you so much for this awesome review. I was looking at buying this horn because I could not believe the band instructor with less time (4-8 years post college percussionist) knew what 6th grade beginners should play. I did, however, find a used Bach TR300H2 for only $30 more. I'm thinking about buying the Jean Paul for myself. Haven't played anything in 20 years, but I love the sound of brass.

    • @TRUMPETSIZZLE
      @TRUMPETSIZZLE  5 лет назад +4

      Band Directors are GENERALISTS and jack of all trades, but master at none. This means that they likely could pick out a decent instrument for a 6th grader, but not for a senior who just made all-state! Think of a band director as middle management. not upper, not entry....just middle.

    This vid shows that the price of the instrument does not necessarily reflect its sound production quality. It's like restaurants -- the dirty family run dive often produces better food at lower price than a fancy restaurant. Yes the ambiance is better at the fancy place and you may feel better about being there, but the food is the main event and there's more of it and better tasting at the dive.

    both are pretty nice. i guess it really does show that horns will improve as you increase in price, but sound benefits will start to see less return for the money the higher up the price range. However I do think these more expensive horns are made from inherently higher quality materials and have more of the odd and specific kinks of the instruments worked out. I think where the price will really show will be how these horns hold up to general use and wear and tear over a long period of time. I'm willing to bet the jean paul really would hold up better for beginners and marching brass situations than the bach esp with the kind of neglect or abuse that befalls horns. the bach however, i think will outlast the jean paul over a long period of time, especially in professional hands. I'm talking like 10-15+ years of time. Not actually a trumpet player, a trombone player, but still the glorious brass section!

      As a young boy in elementary school my first trumpet
      was from Sears catalog. It was probably fine but I didn’t think so. My friends were playing King and Cons. I was a little boy blaming my instrument. After I stuck with it a few years my parents bought me a nice used Buescher 400. I’ve had it for 65 years. My point is that pride of possession is a real and legitimate thing. Try to get your child an instrument they won’t be ashamed of.

    i used to play trumpet, swapped to sax learning that now. and JEAN PAUL, is wrecking the price gap to quality. they are making these 3000 dollar horns, make you question why you are spending 3000USD on a horn, when you are getting a really awesome horn, for a fraction of the price. My Jean Paul TS400 Tenor Sax sounds almost identical to a 3500 Yaga Sax. and that is out of the box, add in a new mouth piece, a good reed, a few minor adjustments, and you pretty much cannot tell the difference. except on your wallet...900 out the door, vs 3500 out the door.

    The JP trumpet sounded pretty good. But, it doesn't even come close to a Bach Stradivarius. I have a Bach LR180S37 and I have played the JP trumpet. The biggest difference between the two, besides the sound, is longevity. A $200 trumpet will not last nearly as long as the Bach. I've been playing trumpet since 1953. My best trumpet was the CONN CONNstellation 38B. I played it for almost 25 years, then I switched to a Bach 37. I also have a CONN CONNstellation 52BSP ($1,400.00 new), and intermediate trumpet. It plays like a professional quality trumpet and I like to use it for jazz and dixieland. The CONN and the Bach are evenly matched, so far as I'm concerned. No $200 trumpet can compare with the CONN or Bach, or last as long. Remember the rule, pay nothing, get nothing.

      Not really. New Strads or Yamaha Xenos can reach up to $3500 and more, and although I do agree that they are overpriced, you truly still get what you pay for. In the long run as a professional player, Strads and Xenos and Schilkes will last you much farther in your career, as the build quality is better, and they also feel better, as they can be more free blowing or be more consistent with their intonation. Also any type of horn is a stretch, horns like Euphoniums/Tubas have a $1500 starting point.

      sometimes, but not always, you MUST pay for the extra time, man hours, and experience, quality and craftmanship. These elements are mostly missing in Jean Paul even though Jean Paul is good for the money it still cannot compare playing-wise to Benge, Bach, Yamaha, but my point is the Bach $3000 better? No, it is not, but Bach sets the price so if you want the best quality you will have to overpay for it

    Jean Paul instruments go through incredible quality control and seem to put out very good trumpets at a low price, but they are essentially manufactured in china. like with most instruments today, the difference in sound has way more to do with the player than the instrument. A 200$ guitar in the 80s was garbage. now a squire for 200$ blows its socks off. the difference is in materials, fit and finnish. the days when you had to pay big bucks for function are over.

      Hmmmm to some extent. Obviously if Jimi Hendrix played on a cheap Chinese $300 guitar...he might just make it sound better than a $300 guitar. Still, Jimi would love to be on the highest quality instrument if possible...

      @@TRUMPETSIZZLE Well I did include qualifiers. Sure, a more expensive instrument will play/sound slightly better, but the law of diminishing returns has never been more strongly enforced than it is today. People have so many options, and manufacturing has gotten so good, you can't get away with selling hot garbage anymore to anyone but the most undiscerning customer. I was also clumsily attempting to compliment your playing.
      edit: I also think Jimi Hendrix would be blown away with the quality of a 300$ squire strat. Especially if you told him you could buy one with the proceeds from 2 bar gigs. I believe he made something like 30$ a week playing in the Kurtis band.

    In the hands of a master junk can be made to sound good . super edgy, seems super sharp actually hurts the ears .Give it too a novice and see how long it lasts mechanically and how long his/her interest will last . Bet the finish doesnt last 3 yrs. Airy sound ? Valves issues ? Maybe due to blowby at the valves without oil or maybe not. Not an efficient instrument if so, that makes it harder to play and means more lip fatigue and energy .Take your 200. use it as a down payment and buy at least a brand name new .student to intermediate model, Yamha is a good bet. Rent one the first year to see students interest or purchase it out right .2335 Then sell it , it has a better used market . Or buy a good tested used instrument . Conn King Yamaha, Getzen Bach Schilke . Kurt knows his stuff but ask him if he would give that to his aspiring Child to start with ? Maybe to a 4yr old ? Prolly not .

      Sound like a jilted buyer. I stand by my recommendation. My V-Raptor broke down with a stuck 3rd valve right as i was going to commence my recording session of Chet Baker's Almost Blue. I used my Mendini Bb beginner $100 trumpet! That trumpet plus my new Bach 1 mouthpiece is the equipment I recorded on. I don't know what student you are listening to or looking at buy 99% can't play their way out of a paper bag much less tell whether they are playing a $600 Yamaha or Bach. Further, these students that you are so worried about won't be playing a short 2 or 3 years after they start anyway. The cheapest trumpet on amazon will outlast just about any spoiled Millennial
