I think the best rivalry is USA vs Canada. I don’t know if international teams count but they are going back and forth with the each other going for the gold and the whole country gets into it. The fans get emotional and it has been so intense since the comeback in the women’s gold medal game back in 2014 and the golden goal of course.

  • @Miika_89

My answer has to be the battle of Pennsylvania, Flyers vs. Penguins. There were few match ups in the last decade that had such intensity in every game, but this one had the "playoff feel" in every regular season game (and those playoff series games, unforgettable!)
Usually teams play smart but intense game during the playoffs, but these two let their rivalry get the best of them and all those games were nothing but emotion, A LOT of goals and game plans were nowhere to be seen. There were no telling who would win on any given night, and both teams hold grudges that fueled the next meetings between the two teams.

I think that the one of the biggest rivalry’s in the NHL this past decade was the Rangers and Lightning. I choose this because of the playoff history towards the middle of the decade, but then these two teams have traded so many players between each other that each team just wanted to win that game against their old team.

So the 2010s best rivalry. I honestly have to go with the Battles of the NY Metro area between NJ and NYI, NJ and NYR and NYI and NYR. This might be a little bit bias because I'm a rangers fan, but just think about all the crazy moments that have happened in this. The countless playoff battles, Kovalchuk OT winner, The outdoor games, just the intensity in these games is what I absolutely love

I missed last weeks video. But my favorite jersey OF All TIME is the black Tampa Bay Lightning jersey used from 2007-2011. As for the question, the best rivalry of the decade was definitely Tampa Bay Vs. Boston. From Nathan Hortons Game 7 goal in 2011 to Tampa’s riveting game 5 win in 2018. Nothing short of awesomeness when ever these two play!

In the last decade I would say the best would be boston-Toronto. It's definitely a newer one in terms of how long it has been going on but I think in the last 2-3 years especially it has really grown. It all really started I would say in 2013 with Boston's come back win and has continued to grow. Both teams hate each other and it has become very fun to watch.

Boston vs Vancouver. When I see these two playing, I immediately think back to the 2011 final. It was an incredible series, that however, ended terribly with the Vancouver riots after game 7. Even though there is only 1/4 or less of the players playing with the teams today, the rivalry and the history will always make a fantastic hockey game to watch.

I’d have to say it was the Canucks and Blackhawks in the early 2010’s, a bit underrated but when Burrows beat them in 2011 overtime game 7 with the superman puck grab blackhawk down goal, and the announcers yelling how Vancouver slayed the dragon, one of the best moments as a nucks fan!

  • @stevensherman4756
    @stevensherman4756 5 лет назад

One of my favorite jerseys that I recently added to my collection is the Canucks jersey with the huge red, yellow and black V stripes on the front.
A second one is the original Oilers jersey (with the lighter shade of blue than is used today).
I really like my Hamilton Tigers (NHL) jersey from the 1920s. Very plain and simple, but pretty unique. Living in Houston, people see it and think I teach at a high school whose teams are Tigers because of the big H on the chest.
As far as a rivalry goes, nothing tops Vegas and San Jose today, which probably went up a notch with VGK hiring DeBoer. But in the 1960s nothing topped Chicago v. Detroit.

I think the greatest rivalry this decade is Chicago and L.A., just for the fact that they traded cup wins from 2012 to 2015. Those series between them were always intense and came down to the wire most of the time. A good example being in 2014. It took a game 7 OT winner from Alec Martinez, the one who eventually scored the double OT winner in game 5 to win the Stanley Cup, to beat Chicago.

There were so many rivalries in the last decade, but recently I have to go with Vegas/San Jose. Vegas met them in both trips in the playoffs in their first 2 years and they brought a heavy 7 game series. It will be a shame to possibly not see another series this coming playoffs.

  • @riptide0611

The best rivalry in the last decade was Anaheim and Chicago. Both were powerhouse teams in the west in the beginning of the decade. The barely missed each other in 2013 (WCQF), same in 2014 (WCSF) and then they finally made met in the best playoff series I've ever seen in the WCF of 2015. Almost every game was decided in OT, comebacks, insanely loud crowds, tension and teo sides of a coin. Chicago trying to avenge 2014 and to reclaim the Cup. Anaheim trying to finally make it to the Final for the first time since '07 after so many Game 7 losses. That led to each team fighting for the rest of the decade to reach that level of skill again. And even this season, with both teams struggling, their games are still epic, with remnants of 2015 still there.

I would say Penguins vs. Flyers. Remember back to 2012 when the Pens & Flyers played one of the last games of the season and the benches cleared for a fight and even the coaches were going at it. Then they met about a week later for the first round of the playoffs and there were more fights and hangovers from that regular season game. Everytime they play each other it is some of the most physical play.

As an Islanders fan we had us vs Pittsburg with that huge rivalry in 2011 and you can look up that game on youtube which was an instant free for all essentially. I think it depends on the time of the decade, for example at the beginning of the decade, when the flyers and penguins had some crazy playoff series seemed to re-ignite that rivalry that has since died off (just not as much intensity). the best rivalry in the last 10 years is such a tough question to answer, but I’m going with a bit of a sleeper aka San José vs St. Louis. some may be questioning my pick, but hear me out
the Sharks and Blues have had incredible players throughout the last decade (Thornton, Tarasenko, Marleau, Binnington, Burns, O’Reilly, etc) and every single matchup between these two teams are surprisingly heated
almost every game is close, both teams have respect for one another, and they met in a heated Western Conference Final two times in a span of four years. SJ-STL is a great rivalry that is under appreciated due to them being in different divisions

    Penguins vs Capitals
    Canucks vs Bruins
    Penguins vs Flyers

I think the best rivalry if Pens Flyers, every time they played each other there’s always big hits and a lot a fights

To me it is the Chicago vs Tampa bay rivalry because obviously the cup final in 2015 but my brother is a Chicago blackhawks fan and I am a lightning fan and it has always been exciting at our house every time they play. Except now obviously, LETS GO BOLTS

The only good rivalries that come to mind are Leafs/Bruins, Sharks/Knights, Caps/Pens. The best of those has to be Toronto/Boston, these last two years in the first round have been really brutal series.

It has to be the battle of Alberta because of Tkachuk the 🐢 and the golden rule of ABC (anybody but Calgary)

Epic Hunter this rivalry wasn’t the best of the last decade because it’s more just getting renewed. I can’t wait to keep watching this rivalry just as a hockey fan in general

Three sure things in life, as once said at a CFL game this past season ... death, taxes and Edmonton sucks. But I’m fine changing that last one to Calgary. There’s no better a rivalry than the Battle of Alberta, whether in the NHL or CFL.

I may be biased as a Rangers fan but ever since they played each other in the finals in 2014, the Rangers and kings have had a sneaky rivalry. The way that series went down despite it being only 5 games, with the intense close games and the referee decisions, made most Rangers fans develop a hatred towards the Kings. Additionally each meeting between the two teams since has still been an intense and fiery game even with both teams being less talented than they once were.

I want to say Islanders vs Panthers because I am an Islanders fan but I have to go with Penguins vs Capitals. It is always a good series when they play

Best Rivalry: The best rivalry is the Freeway Faceoff, Ducks vs. Kings. These two have never liked each other and even took their rivalry outdoors to Dodger Stadium in 2014.

Montreal vs Boston for me. It is still intense. It has also been around for over 90 years. I love the Boston vs Montreal rivalry. I hope the play again in the playoffs

I think the best rivalry is the Chicago Blackhawks vs the St. Louis Blues. The fans hate one another’s team and just recently in the 2020 All-Star game, whenever Patrick Kane’s name gets announced, a lot of the fans started booing him just because of the bitter rivalry we have. I am a huge Blackhawks fan and was excited when Kane won the sharpshooting contest.
