I’m both apprehensive and excited for this. This is one of my all time favorite shows and I always want more of it, but I just don’t want this new season to be boring or feel forced.
I don't think it'll be boring, but probably very "rushed". I heard there are only 8 episodes which seems short for the kind of storyline they seem to want to explore.

Veronica's cases have always been personal. Ones that affected her. I don't doubt that that is going to be the case with the new season, but they haven't revealed how yet.
Well, Logan is involved somehow. I think that will make the case personal for Veronica
You think so? I don't really see how. I mean he's shown fighting and stuff, but I would be more likely to guess that has to do with his usual worrying about Veronica being in danger. That's not her getting involved in the case because of something personally affecting her, since that would come After she's on the case.
With the case being a bombing, my first guess would be that it killed someone she knew, likely cared about. That couldn't be Logan.
Unless he's a suspect. But that's kind of been played out with him being a suspect in the case being done in season 2, and the movie. Besides him not being a likely serial bombing suspect.
So it looks like the owner of a bar becomes a new friend to V, and her bar is either damaged or under threat or both from the serial bomber. So it looks like that will be how it will connect personally to Veronica rather than just being a case.
Oh, hell, yeah....I'm in.

Where is Weevil, Cliff, Vinnie, Wallace, MAC, Duncan and Piz? There is no Veronica Mars without them.
After what happend at the end of the 3. season and in the movie, I don't think Piz will come back. Well, I'm a LoVe supporter, so don't take me to serious.
Cliff, Vinnie and Wallace have been mentioned on the instagram account so assumably they're back and Weevil was in this trailer not sure about the others though.
Piz's character was never anything more than the boyfriend or potential blockade to Logan and V. After the movie, even if she weren't with Logan, Piz wouldn't be going back to her, so there's really no story left for him. I don't mean that as a dis on his character, just that there's nowhere to go with him now. Macs the one I have trouble doing without.

Actually, she's been working regularly in movies and tv. Fans have been clamoring for the show for ages. In addition long before this was picked up, she's talked about how much she loved the character and would always jump at the chance to continue. I guess you also think that Arnolds money ran out, and that's why they continued to make Terminator movies. Or that Stallone made more Rocky and Rambo movies because the money ran out.
