This is very difficult to answer. Honestly speaking, I have never seen the keepers interact with Monta. The zoo often posts pictures of Monta, but not videos of them interacting with him. This zoo has an issue with skilled manpower shortage. So, if Komomo or any additional gorilla joins him, the zoo should hire more staffs who have knowledge of captive gorilla management and experience in husbandry training. Or they should add more young staffs who are willing to learn from experienced keepers from the other zoos. The zoo may have a plan to do the above but its plan is taking way too long to implement. Yes. Momotaro had to be separated when he was just 7 years old. Momotaro was okay but Momoko had hard time. 🥲

10月3日、酔った男性客がローラちゃんに罵声を浴びせ、挙句の果てに持っていた「たこ焼き」を投げ入れ、それをローラちゃんが食べてしまったという事件です。
職員さん、飼育員さんが直ぐに対応して下さったようです。

@@アタシちゃん8888 まあなんてひどいことがあったんでしょう🤬ビアーガーデンやってました。そういえば。ビール好きなのであまり大きい声ではいえないですが、動物園でビアガーデンってどうなの？ってちょっと思ってたんです。悪酔いする客は必ず出てきますし、ゴリラの屋外放飼場は剥き出しなので、病気がうつったらどうっするんでしょうか。園にもこれは責任がありますね。たこ焼きたべちゃったローラには何も落ち度はありません😓情報ありがとうございました。インスタツイッターの検索がいまいちよくわからなくてその動画に辿り着くことはできなかったのですが、アタシちゃんさんの説明でだいたい想像ができました。ありがとうございました⭐

私も、動物園でメニューによってはビールを頼んでしまうので何とも言えませんが、ビアガーデンとなるとまた話は別ですね。

今回は事なきを得ましたが…このご時世、投げ入れた物にウィルスが付着している可能性だってあるかもしれないのに😡
類人猿は感染リスクがあるから人止柵を設置してたのに、外した途端コレですもん。
再考して頂いて安心してゴリラに限らず全ての動物達が安心して過ごせる様に改善して頂きたいなとおもいます。
