Ведь пропаганда как только их не называла... А ведь и сегодня их музыка звучит и нравится!!!

Although Mark lll left its mark ( love their work ) , Mark ll was the best and still rocking , Coverdale’s voice wasn’t that good at the beginning, it got better as time went on , Notice that all the screaming was done by Glenn Hughes, Coverdale’s voice was too thick ( not as refined as years later ) Coverdale great voice , but Gillan much better , I go and see them in concert whenever they’re in Town since 1974 at this Concert I was about 100 feet away . awesome.

Deep Purple never got the utmost credit as great rock musicians. They deserve it. The three constants, Blackmore, Lord, and Paice, are freaking awesome musicians. When I want to hear some really good rock, I listen to DP.

Glenn Hughes: "You looked at the skyline....and there were people!" How David Coverdale had the balls to pull this off is a fucking miracle, before Autumn 1973 he had only sung in workingmen's clubs in the north east of England. Glenn Hughes sounds fantastic, crystal clear. Paiceys drumming is spectacular and Jon is superb as always. Ritchie was pissed off with the promoter before the gig and ended up bashing the camera, before blowing a hole in the stage with a massive explosion which removed Ian's glasses. Deep Purple 1. Fire Department 0. Cameraman deafened. Audience delighted!
I started buying records at 12yrs old in 1969....I bought Machine Head when it was hot and new in 1972...followed DP and GLEN HUGHES since the 70s...Loved GLEN'S band TRAPEZE...when Ian quit and the "BURN" album came out I was ready for the change..GLENN and the unknown at that time D. Coverdale were a GODsend...Just more classics LP......THis song sounded so great driving down the country roads of La. a Smoking, a tokin and a drinking....
Joseph Caron I don't get when people say things like that, people like ginger baker, bill ward and ian paice who "gave birth to heavy metal drumming". If you listen to the modern drummer, they have nothing to do with the greats I've mentioned above. Particularly in metal, people forget about the groove and it becomes all about how many clicky double kicks they can cram into one bar. The old guys were funky motherfuckers, women can't move their hips to modern crap like they could to black sabbath. For all you modern drummers out there, get back to your roots, learn to swing and groove, listen hard and carefully to the late 60's - early 70's guys, it's all about the details
@@jzac77 That's because most of the modern drummers didn't listen to Motown etc. They skipped that part and thus missed a lot of the "soul". That's not to say that they're bad. I Love me some modern drummers such as Nicko McBrain & Nick Menza etc.

That was a great concert! Me and my friend worked our way to the center of the stage and field speaker towers just before sabbath came on. They were using Emerson, Lake and Palmer's sound system for the PA. You haven't heard Black Sabbath, Deep Purple or ELP live until you have heard it in Quadrophonic! Good music, good friends, good weed, good times!😎
How the hell he delivered vocals like this at the end of the tour.....fantastic. Coverdale was good enough, rough on burn, flat on you fool noone. Enormous guts to do it though.
Glenn and Paicey were the energy, while Ritchie and Jon were concentrating on the finer points of the music. Massive respect to David for having the sheer self belief to face a crowd of that number. A fine performance from all concerned. As far as the camera smashing is concerned, I'm convinced it was prearranged. If you watch when Ritchie attacks the camera, the cameraman moves forwards..... He would hardly do that if he were shocked.

They were playing it live in 1991 as a show opener with JLT and used a short instrumental version during Blackmore's Speed King solo in 1993.

That was a great concert! Me and my friend worked our way to the center of the stage and field speaker towers just before sabbath came on. They were using Emerson, Lake and Palmer's sound system for the PA. You haven't heard Black Sabbath, Deep Purple or ELP live until you have heard it in Quadrophonic! Good music, good friends, good weed, good times!😎

Glenn and Paicey were the energy, while Ritchie and Jon were concentrating on the finer points of the music. Massive respect to David for having the sheer self belief to face a crowd of that number.
A fine performance from all concerned.
As far as the camera smashing is concerned, I'm convinced it was prearranged.
If you watch when Ritchie attacks the camera, the cameraman moves forwards..... He would hardly do that if he were shocked.
