I’m a 70 year old grandma, who wants to be you when I grow up! I wish there would have been inspiring people like you, at the click of a button, when I was a young homemaker and mom. Thanks for sharing your life with us.
Me too!🥰
I’m a grandma also and just love her! She is such a wonderful mommy and I want her ti be my mom lol
Agree I will soon be 72 Trial and error all the way!!
I said the same.
She’s an inspiration! 💝
Most precious comment ever !
It’s so refreshing and comforting in a way to see I’m not the only mama who isn’t up at 4 or 5 am to get everything done before the littles are up.
I feel a little more human knowing I’m not the only one!!
Especially with the co-sleeping part. Climbing off or them waking up just because I'm shifting around is a real thing.
Mine were getting up at 5:45 when I was up at 5:30. I thought I was quiet buttttt once I slept in (6:30) and woke when they did, they all would sleep a bit later.
Yes I agree thanks for posting
Yes! I’ve been trying so hard but my guy is in our bed a lot and I’m just so tired this postpartum. Refreshing to see! Would love to one day get up before my kids but it’s not the time.
As a bed sharing mom (6 kids), I've rarely been able to get up before the youngest for the same reason. It's so hard to sneak away, they almost always know instantly when I get out of bed. 😆 So I get up when the youngest wakes up too.
It is embarrassing how much I want to be friends with you! 😂 I have never seen a morning routine more relatable. I am so grateful you shared this.
Yay! Thank you!
Yes, definitely I love seeing different morning routines. I’m also a homeschooling mother. Two of my kids have graduated and now I have one left . He will be in 11 grade this year. Time flies by . God bless ❤️
So thankful for the perspective of a co sleeping mama. I’ve often felt pressure to be up “before the baby” to get things done and it just isn’t possible for us while co sleeping. Thank you for sharing ❤️
I also co sleep. It's just such a natural way to care for baby! I dont tell anyone because everyone seems to have a negative opinion about it. (i.e. anyone older or in the medical field)
Actually, co sleeping is NOT more dangerous if the mother is not obese, a firm mattresses, and not drinking alcohol or other drugs/medications. It's hard to have those conversations, because people just say what the statistics say, but people dont like to look at people as individuals, I've found. If you take out those high risk situations in statistical analysis, co sleeping is actually just as safe.
Good for you for sharing.. you'll probably get some hate!
Hi Melanie. I had to smile at your comment. I’m older (72), and also a medical professional. I co-slept with both my children until they just naturally migrated out of our bed. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.
I co-slept with each of my 7 children. I'm in my late 50's now and would do it all the same way again. As a light sleeper I felt there was no danger for me in doing so. My husband, however, was another matter. One night while he slept he placed his upper arm across the baby's face and could have smothered her had I not been such a light sleeper and vigilant. I don't believe most husbands are as aware of an infant in the bed during the night as their wives.
I also co slept with both of my kids, and we were all the better for it. I tried with a crib and it just did work for us.
I'm considered obese in medical terms and Ive coslept with all 4 of my babies, some longer than others. I feel personally it worked for me because I'm a light sleeper. Being a light sleeper is so important when a baby is in the bed because they just roll so much haha. Congrats to all those mom who cosleep. I told my kids doc I do and they didn't say a word so maybe the world is coming around to something other nations have done for generations.
How do you all co-sleep "safely" though? My husband and I don't have any babies yet but maybe in the next year or two and I'd like to co-sleep but idk about the blankets, or if there's a specific way to do it, I've heard you can use a little baby nest/pillow like snuggle me organic for them to stay secure in? I've tried researching but most resources aren't helpful lol.
This video sure made me miss my bustling home with children. Empty nesting is not made for nurturers and those whose love language is feeding others. Have a blessed day!
I love the way you mother Lisa! When your son brought you a flower I thought my heart would burst!! That is just too sweet! Life has so many ups and downs and being able to be flexible with your schedule is so important I think. If you ever want to adopt a old lady I’m volunteering 😂! Thanks for sharing your life with us! I love watching your videos! ❤️
Love that you sleep till you have to get up! This is very relatable! I never usually watch morning routine videos because I have NO interest in waking up earlier before the kids.
Thank you for making this! My husband and I want a lot of kids… he is one of 13. We just found out I’m pregnant with number 2! Praise God. You inspire me to be my own kind of mom, just like you are for your kids. I am NOT a morning person either. I’ll stay up late with the kiddos and my husband can take the mornings 😊 God bless you and your family.
Hi Lisa! I honestly watch your videos every day because I feel like you relate with me the most. I’m a mom a nearly 7 kids. I know you’re not perfect but your life style inspires me. I have a lady friend from my church who is interested in helping me start making sourdough bread. One day I’d love to have a farm of my own. At the moment we are in a good starter home. Your podcasts & RUclips videos have really inspired me to work at being a better homemaker.
As a mama growing my family and homestead, it’s always so nice to see your videos because you make everything seem so normal and doable. I feel a lot less overwhelmed when I see a beautiful home and a mama who is sleeping until her babies get up and still working hard to cook good meals and isn’t stressed about what time that all happens.
Loved this! As a co sleeping mum I can't get jobs done before my kids are up either. Would love to see a homeschool day in the life!
Love me some Real Lisa! (I was rooting for more of this a year or so ago.) I also love how you don't make your kids the center of your vids - ever. You maintain their privacy. I think that's where the better "family" channels are falling. xoxo
Amen. I love that she doesn't use her kids for views.
Love how chill you are about your life. Not saying it isn't hectic at times but your attitude is everything. Your little water babies are amazing! I finally got brave enough to try a loaf of sourdough bread! Turned out pretty good, I just need to practice my stretching and folding a bit, the taste was fantastic though. Thanks for the inspiration and no fuss instructions on how to do it. Blessings to you Lisa.
Yes! Please share a video of homeschooling your children! That would be amazing!!!
Do more! Love these. Also the first time ive actually seen a video of a mom who doesnt wake up at a dreadfully early hour willingly lol im right with you 👌
This makes me miss co-sleeping... I loved it with both of my boys (they are both teenagers now so this is really bringing back memories..). I'd say over 18 years ago it was pretty unconventional to be the co-sleeping mama who breastfed her kids till age 3 but I did it!! I also worked full time so this took some planning, dedication and sacrifice. I wouldn't change a thing and I have so many memories... Thank you for pointing out that you can be different and still 'get things done'. I think you make everyone who follows you appreciate their own unique skills.
Thanks for sharing! It's refreshing to see an AM routine that's very flexible and laid back (similar to how we so mornings here!). I'd love to see a homeschool morning routine because it's something we are considering for our kids :)
Thank you for talking about the towels. It seems so simple but my mom always made me feel bad for constantly getting new towels to clean up with. I’m glad to see it’s not just me! ❤️
Thanks for sharing Lisa. It was encouraging for me to see other productive mom's also having a more low key start to the day.
I have an entire rubbermaid bin of those cheap walmart washcloths. I use them for everything. I don't fold them after washing. I toss them in the bin, drawers, and baskets unfolded.
I like this video because of how realistic it is for people with a family. My husband bakes the sourdough bread in our home. He's making sourdough buns for dinner tomorrow evening. Can't wait. Have a good weekend
I used to think that if you live on a farm, you have to be up for the animals at dawn or before.
It's so hard to even go to the bathroom during the night without one child knowing and asking where I'm I going, or if it's time to get up. I have always had to fake being asleep to get more rest. I've always had to wake very early for school and work, but not a morning person. Why these little people feel the need to wake very early? I'm always looking forward to nap time and their bedtime especially now that I'm mostly home.
I'm really enjoying your videos. Thanks for sharing.
This makes me feel better about not being a very scheduled to the time kind of person or waking up at 5am. My baby also wakes up like 5 minutes after I get out of bed.
The rags tip is actually the kind of simple knowledge that I need to be a better homemaker. I use tons of paper towels because I have 3 kids 4 years old and under. Spills happen constantly. And I hate using rags because I don’t feel like I should just wash them right away. Afraid they’ll get lost in the laundry and I end up with disgusting bacteria filled rags in the bottom of my sink 🤢 thank you 😊
I started this about 10 years ago after seeing just how many paper towel towels we went thru and just how wasteful it was. I just get white cloths at Walmart that I use for wiping counters in the kitchen and a second set for cleaning the dining room table w a gentler spray. It saves so much money using cloths, as opposed to paper towels. I just drape them over the top of the spray bottle after use. I change them out once a week. If they are damp, I just air dry them and then throw them in my closet hamper designated for cloths and towels. Wash them w some detergent and a bit of bleach....works great! 😊 I only do one full load of cloths and my kitchen towels about once a month.. I have lots of cloths, so works well. Love walking right past the paper towels at the store....😉.
Wonderful. I enjoyed it so much. You are so talented and energetic. Love seeing all your babies as I am 53 and still no grandchildren. Thank you for sharing and I would love to see a Fall morning mom video.
Wow, thank you for sharing your summer morning routine! I love your unapologetic authenticity and I’m encouraged by the fact that so many other momma’s here co-sleep and get up with their littles. I thought I just hadn’t cracked the code on getting up early while co-sleeping🤷🏻♀️ maybe in the next season of my life I’ll be able to get up early and have some alone time-for now I suppose I’ll enjoy those early AM snuggles with my baby guilt free😉❤️
I love the real-life feeling of this, that’s why I love watching your videos and following your family. You don’t seem that different (besides the full-on homesteading) from our family- you have kids, you do normal every day life with meaning and purpose, you cook, you clean, you just do life! Thanks for sharing your morning. Along those lines, I know you did this a while back but I would love to know what skincare and make up products you use! I know in your last video you shared about some clean beauty brands I hadn’t heard of and would love to know if what you use now is the same or if it’s changed!
I like watching other moms’ morning routines and I definitely appreciate the flexible take you have on it.
I hate rigid schedules. I love that you show you can be a super mom without waking at the crack of dawn.
Love your channel! 70 yr old Mom of 4 and Grandmother of 7. ❤❤
Love all your videos, especially the "Day in the life" ones. It gives such motivation and inspiration.
Thank you for a REAL life morning routine :)
Good afternoon Farmhouse on Boone. Your morning's certainly are hectic. Make sure you take some time during the day for a bit of rest and relaxation. Take some time to smell the flowers.
My husband and I have a similar routine. He gets up with older kids by ~7 am and I sleep in a little later with baby who I care for overnight. It works great! Of course as baby is starting to sleep more consistently throughout the night, he and I occasionally wake up before the kids and have coffee on the back porch 💝
Ahh it's the little things isn't it!
I grew up on a small farm with a dairy - we had two breakfasts. The first one was called "dippy-dunky" and we would have a glass of fresh milk with a granola bar dipped in it. Then after chores (about 9:30) we would have a big oatmeal breakfast before starting our homeschooling. It's the way to go so you don't get tuckered out before chores are done!
love hearing stories like this...thanks for sharing!
You will never be lonely
You are amazing! I am envious of how flexible you are to whatever is currently happening. I hope that many young moms are encouraged by your example. I would have loved to had access to a channel like this when my kids were little. I used to put way too much emphasis on getting up (4:00 am) and dashing out of the gate with a full day and then fall exhausted into bed after putting the kiddos down. I tell you that little Theo is so bright eyed, and his chin dimple melts my heart! Thank you for adding us all into your days! 🫶🏻🥰
This was great! I'm not one to wake up at 5 am either because of my co sleeping babies! And my mind was def blown at the use many rags. I try and save rags too, but your way seems less time consuming. I'm gonna try it so thanks for the tip!
I loved seeing this morning routine! It made me feel better about my mornings because they're kinda similar. The other videos make me feel like I'm failing with such a rigid schedule. I'm pretty type A, but I like flexibility too. I only have two kids right now, but my younger one is still not sleeping through the night so I'm slow getting up even though I'm usually a morning person. Thank you for continuing to show the beauty of homemaking ❤️
Yep, I got last time angry when I saw this lady who was showing how she gets up early in morning same time every day and have time to put make up on. I just had to switch to another channel.
Two kids was the hardest for me!!! I felt like I was going crazy a lot of the time because you have to do everything for them- I have four now and things are so much calmer and I'm more chill! Happy momming!!
This was really encouraging! I only have 2, and I tend to have more of a rhythm vs. strict routine. I always appreciate your authenticity.
I’d love to see more of your daily routines way comforting and sweet to watch!
Love this video! I am a young homemaker with a 1 year old and a baby due in November. I live in suburbia but I do long for a slower life! Your videos are so helpful to me!
I loved this video. Definitely would love another one in other seasons. We do ISR in Florida every year and love it.
Thanks for sharing your busy mom morning routine! Totally understand that it’s always changing! Great idea for the apron! My pockets are never big enough lol😆
Im also a homesteading homeschool mama of 8…. Mostly very small children, and i gotta tell ya, when you said you take kids to swim lessons …. I thought, ”well, shes some kind of super hero “. It takes us over an hour just to get into the bus! And now you will forever be my inspiration. Thank you
Theo seemed pretty happy about his morning nap. Just when one routine is solidified, a new one begins in these early ages.
Love seeing morning routine. I also homeschool. Seeing how your routine is helps give ideas of how we can make our own routines better/easier.
Yes! I love videos like this, especially from you. You make it look impossibly easy but this video really showed how diligent and consistent you are and have to be to keep a nice home. Really motivated me to stop being so lazy :) I would love to see a full "day in the life" Thanks Lisa!
Thanks for posting this. I've been curious for a while how you handle other tasks in the day, besides the cooking, gardening, animals, so love to see this video. You are really a great mom and inspiration to me. I talk about things you do, quite a lot with my husband, as a model to strive to copy, or at least for tips
Im so hotvright now, wish i could jump into thst pool. Such sparkly water. Your boys r doing great!
How old is theo? He is already crawling? Time flies. God bless you and your family. Don't forget to relax and take care of you!
I adore the realness and peace to your routine. So relatable. Thank you. Greetings from Namibia!
Thank you for watching!
Theo....looking like an angel while you are talking about him! 😂🤣
I awe of how easy you make having 7 kids look. I only had 2 but worked full time during their years at home. I could not imagine having 7. Love your channel.
Yes!! Love these style!! I haaate how bad I feel after watching other moms have a strict morning schedule… I’m a free spirited kind of gal. Sahm and by golly I should have to have a scheduled time to do everything. Lol so I love and can relate to this! ❤️ thank u for sharing your life Lisa!
Love this, Lisa! You definitely should do day-in-the-life more, though I’m sure it’s a lot of work setting up a camera everywhere!
Also love seeing another Mom being super flexible 💕
Love watching real life morning routines. I don’t know what it is about it but it’s just so fun to watch how others realistically go through their days!
Another beautiful video! Always inspired and motivated after I watch your videos. Curious if you could a video on cleaning your dirty dishes/kitchen routine? The type of soap, sponges/rags you prefer to use. Thank you!!
Your mama and daddy has to be incredibly proud of you. I watch your videos all the time. I'm probably about your parents age and I can only imagine how much they are proud of your hard work, your knowledge about homesteading and family. Your kids are so lucky to have this environment to live in on a farm. I looked at the pillows on the website. I may consider getting 2 of them because my husband and I both have neck issues. Take care!
FINALLY another Mom who doesnt get up to work it 5am. I'm up half the night with one kid or other. Morning starts when we get up!
I loved seeing that I’m not the only mom without a rigid schedule. I always felt like I did something wrong. We have a routine but not rigid. Please do more of these!
We love morning routines !!
Was just thinking I would love to see how different the morning looks when homeschooling. 😊Thanks for sharing.
Yes! Love this kind of content. Thanks for taking us along. I think most of us moms understand that the routine is ever-evolving according to the needs of your family.
I had to chuckle at how you prefer doing laundry each day! I realized when my 2 sons were little, that having laundry going constantly would drive me nuts! I needed to have something be DONE, rather than feeling like I would never finish the job (like the dishes), so I trained kids and husband: “If you want it washed, it better be in the hamper by Monday morning!” I’m sure I would’ve done it differently if I’d had more kids, but it always felt good to get to Tuesday night and say, “Well, THAT’S done!” 😊
I think it is wonderful when you figure out what works for you and your family and being ok with the fact that it is probably different than how others do it...
I do the towel thing instead of paper towels I buy wash cloth or hand towels that are clearance. I've also and a big cloth napkin fan I have a basket of them never used paper and my oldest daughter now does these in her home 👍♥️🙂
So incredibly cosy as always, thank you for sharing your beautiful life
Fine Family and such Great Values !❤
Love aprons and kitchen tows too. I don't use paper towels. You a great inspiration to a lot young and not so young ladies. I dry my cloth on the clothes line in the summer
Love seeing your morning routine, and would love to see more in the different seasons. I also love a daily washing schedule, it’s never a big pile it’s just a constant like meals and dishes.
I love your schedule. Sometimes these days in the life make me feel awful. I’ve always gotten up when my kids do. My husband works weird hours that change often so I’ve been doing the nighttime get ups on my own for 16 years 😫. I really do love your channel. ❤️
Lisa, I admire how fit you are after getting up so early. Apparently you are loving your life with the children. You are so flexible and organized, incredible
It's so important that the kids learn to swim!!¡ great video as always!! Theo's eyes are stunning!!
Oh, thank you, Lisa for sharing. I'm a mum to 4 (one newborn) and I wish so badly to be able to get up before kids and have some of the stuff done while everyone is sleeping but it cannot happen because of the reasons you've also mentioned. Thanks for being honest and sharing❤
I would love to see your Autumn/winter home Vlogs . I just wanted to let you know you and Luke are truly amazing people the workloads you both have are alot but your bringing your children up to be kind considerate people amoung all the other good things you both teach them ❤
Just my Hubby and me 2 dogs 2 cats rabbits an chickens I do laundry everyday also just don't like them piling up its germy to me but I know everybody has their own way love your videos
Thanks for sharing!!
Love seeing your different morning routines💕
I ave one and as soon as I get up it's like I hear her little voice, good morning..so set! Lol
I feeeel you. My entire adult life I’ve been pregnant, breastfeeding, or cosleeping 😅 sleep has been interesting 🤨
Had to just share, I ordered some make-up and balm from Toups & Co. after listening to your podcast. I’ve been listening to you for awhile, love your videos, so I decided to trust your recommendations. Make-up is great quality, I was really surprised by how good it was. I’ve tired higher end brands and been disappointed. Thanks for sharing them!
Thanks for sharing this!
I feel so good to see-hear that video: my kids always were waking up really early always, still do)))
I never understood those get up early women
First, how do u get out of bed without the baby?
Second WHY would u get out of bed without the baby??
Sleep with ur babies, mommas. Just roll over, latch him back on and knock back out urself. Daddy stays asleep too and can get up early to go to work. Thank God he does! Otherwise YOU would be scrambling to bring in money and having to leave ur precious babies!
Sleep as long as the baby does, tired, hardworking momma. Even go to bed some nights *with* the baby. You lose ur evening maybe but ur so well rested next morning 😊
How can I encourage you strongly enough to enjoy ur babies, mommas? How do I get across how *short* motherhood is? Ur children grow and are gone so incredibly quickly‼️
The days are long but the years are OH SO SHORT - even for those having several children. 10 kids is still gonna go . It’s why the 1st grandkids are so fervently embraced by these parents. They see their final kids slipping away and understand then how precious these children-years are.
Our fertility is a great gift 🎁
Yes to a day in the life for other season of the year also! Thank you :)
You truly are the picture of super woman! God bless you Lisa!
I enjoy my ebb and flow routine as well. I find if I'm too strict with routine I can become moody when something unexpectedly interrupts it.
I feel like we’re so much alike! Your videos are always so soothing and comforting to watch. Would love to see a fall morning routine!
I love your farmhouse kitchen!!!
CEO of your Homestead!!!👩💻👩🏻🌾👩🏻🍳
Home management of time, chores, people, plus ur blog is full time job.
You flow thru it all w/ such Grace!
I admire your Spirit! ❤️🥰💋👏🏻👏🏻
I love your homemaker tips, and would love to see your morning routine in the fall
Love to see more of your routines!
I think your doing it just right for your family. There are no rules that you have to do it certain way. If it works for you n your family then by all means do it. Remember nothing stays the same there’s always changes in your life. Though I must say your a very busy mom n I sure hope you do find some time for Lisa. ♥️♥️😊👍👍
Love this. Take care and be blessed.
Love this kind of video!
Thanks for sharing. Even though I usually get up between 5 and 6 am, I'm not that person that has everything covered before 7 am. I take my time really waking up with some coffee and enjoy the quiet of my home before everyone else wakes up.
Drink more coffee. I am a nurse, my husband is a cardiologist and having 4-6 cups of coffee a day is very good for you! We love it too! I hope to get a Breville soon!
Love these morning routine videos! I feel like I can totally relate with your “go with the flow” style!
