+A very judgmental person. You're right, they'll probably use a cgi version of him after he dies & cryogenically preserve his body or use clones to keep it going forever.
Scenes like the one with Rhodey are exactly why Robert was the perfect person to play Tony Stark. The only way I'd want them to recast Iron Man is if Tony handed the responsibility to someone else; Robert's too identified with the role for another tactic to work.
Funny how it says Tony Stark proves he is the best actor ever, but still I'm surprised that Robert Downey Jr. wasn't nominated for Best Actor at the oscars. He was amazing.
RDJ's Tony Stark's attitude from Ironman I to Age of Ultron has changed A LOT. idk how to explain how his attitude changed but can any of you guys tell too?
Titan5774 Could be an evolution of personality caused either by the actor's finding of a certain groove over time, a varied interpretation of the character from each movie's script, or a mix of both as the character himself evolves through the happening of different events throughout the timeline -- Iron Man villains, Chitauri army, "Mandarin" & Pepper's near death, Ultron & near destruction of Earth -- and RDJ adjusts appropriately. *In short*, a maturity arises in tandem with RDJ's interpretation of how Stark copes with life events. Maybe.
+Lolani Faapito Well, that's exactly what an actor does: a maturity/development (or immaturity/regression in some cases) arises in tandem with the actor's interpretation of how the character copes with life events in the story. As an actor myself, I know there's more to it than that, but more or less, that is probably the best job description of the acting profession if there ever was one.
+George Daugherty Thanks for the confirmation. I like that little side point about immaturity/regression. Did you mean that for the character or the actor?

+Greg Gallacci Cocaine is a hell of a drug. I for one am glad good ole Bob jr. was able to kick it in the butt
+Greg Gallacci It's a very common story. Sometimes those with the greatest gifts struggle with life the most. They don't always overcome, but it's great when they do!
Numinous Sad but true. For every artist that becomes a master of his craft there is one that can't overcome his demons and falls by the wayside into obscurity.
Ian Roper I'd say for every 1 who overcomes, there are maybe 19 who don't. The rate of overcoming addiction ranges from 3-5%, depending on the specific malady. Not good odds at all...
"Peace is defined by the person with the bigger stick"
Pity the poor sucker who takes up the mantle of Tony Stark after Robert Downey Jr.
+A very judgmental person. What, ever? You're living in a fantasy land if you think this role won't eventually be recast. How many different actors have we even just recently seen play characters like Spider-Man, Superman & Batman? Iron Man is more "untouchable" than those?
+A very judgmental person. You're right, they'll probably use a cgi version of him after he dies & cryogenically preserve his body or use clones to keep it going forever.
+A very judgmental person. Or just transplant the whole head while they're at it
+A very judgmental person. His last movie will be infinity war.He will probably die
+Bumble Douche People said the same after jack nicholson joker. But look what happened with heath ledger.
that last bit with Rhodey should have been in the movie. so good.
Jaime Foxx I think
Nathan Reames No not Jaime then you would see his tattoo on the back of his head
He's good everywhere, his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes with his Eccentricity was perfection, miss the Holmes movies.
Sherlock holmes 3 will come out 22 dec 2021 :)
Scenes like the one with Rhodey are exactly why Robert was the perfect person to play Tony Stark. The only way I'd want them to recast Iron Man is if Tony handed the responsibility to someone else; Robert's too identified with the role for another tactic to work.
*ROBERT DOWNEY JR. proves he is the best actor ever
i know right...
Gizmogirl192 Robert and Tony are one. He is the perfect casting for "Iron man" therefore, the title is correct
AbsoluteZeroGaming No
lol Diamond Green
Diamond Green yes, my logic cannot be beaten
I bet if this guy gets the role, they'll make about 11 movies with him in it
Funny how it says Tony Stark proves he is the best actor ever, but still I'm surprised that Robert Downey Jr. wasn't nominated for Best Actor at the oscars. He was amazing.
I do gotta say RDJ, Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, all have transcend being an actor and really became their character.
Tony Stark: I’m Robert Downey Jr.
RDJ: I’m Iro, wait what !?!,!,,!??
Tony Stark or Tony Stank?
haha yes he is tony stank as war machine said :-D
stove rogers
Cooking up justice...
Devil Evil war machine didn't say that, the mail man said it, and war machine agreed and laughed
CakeWarz the mail man? That mail man is a big deal
I dont know much about this but massive big up to the extras who actually memorised those lines as well
2:13 That eyebrow raise tho
I like how he checks out the extra quickly during the first scene. It's part of his process.
"Pepper knows everything" never have I heard a truer statement
2:01 "I'd be prepared to lose a few with you" 😏
Boy that last scene though...His facial expression says it all.
"I KNOW WHO I AM! I'm a dude playin' a dude disguised as another dude!" LOL
Tony stark is one of the best actors, I love his part as RDJ
Maybe.
Titan5774 He got a bit fucked up in the head after Avengers 1 lol
+Lolani Faapito Well, that's exactly what an actor does: a maturity/development (or immaturity/regression in some cases) arises in tandem with the actor's interpretation of how the character copes with life events in the story. As an actor myself, I know there's more to it than that, but more or less, that is probably the best job description of the acting profession if there ever was one.
+George Daugherty Thanks for the confirmation. I like that little side point about immaturity/regression. Did you mean that for the character or the actor?

Wow. It is too bad we have to dump down movies. A lot of this dialogue would have really nailed down so much for the average person.
I know what you mean...
Listen, we need to get this man a damn Oscar NOW
for the people saying the actor's name is Robert Downy Jr., Tony Stark and Robert D. Jr are one in the same, that's how he can play the role so well.
Literally a daddy material
considering you already confuse Tony Stark with Robert Downey Jr. you might be correct
It looks like it was shot in a cave. With a box of scraps.
Well with all due respect sir, i'm not the camera man.
*Gets the reference*
3:09 you know I've never noticed just how much he looks like Al Pacino until now.... Amazing!
From "I'M IRON MAN" to "I'M IRON MAN".....He is Iron Man !
And here we see Tony Stark playing Robert Downey Jr. (because of the videos title)
Armando Benavides Obviously didn't read the description
I didn't. Still doesn't change what I said in my comment.
Armando Benavides video’s*
Now THAT's an actor who puts himself into the mind of his character. Just superb. Thanks for posting!
0:14 this is before Robert truly found the sarcastic delivery for the lines
Looking at the comments made me realize that people *never* read the description.
Dammit. Now I want to watch Iron man again. All free of dem!!

Kieran Bell Buy one, get one free..

Paul Weaver But Iron Man three has been confirmed. I heard that Tony Stark will be FREE of his Iron man suit..
astgraphicnovel

What a perfect time to recommend this RUclips, thanks.
Love you 3000 tony
Tears
First Thing: WOW! Robert Downey Jr. is a stelar actor! That was perfect.
Second Thing: What?! Actors from NCIS and White Collar?! Sasha Alexander and Sharif Atkins. It's a shame neither of them made it into the movie.
No, Tony Stark is One of the best actors ever, along with Sherlock Holmes, Charlie Chaplin, & the lawyer guy that has Robert Duvall as a judge father.
Tony Stark is a character. You mean Robert Downey Jr.
O ya, he's good too! :)
***** I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. You do know Tony Stark doesn't exist, right?
Whaaaaatt??! But Steve Rogers didn't kill him. Right?
***** Steve Rogers is a character in Marvel comics. The guy called Steve Rogers in Marvel movies is Chris Evans playing the role of Steve Rogers.
Love how you can see that "Tony Stark" persona peek through the cracks a little. Just goes to show how much he has worked on the character and what a great choice in casting him.
"Tony Stark"... perfect irony :D he must be a good actor after all haha
