Both can work, it would depend on the amount of transactions you have. As a Salon, I would imagine you are seeing alot of customers, so probably Quickbooks

I have one client that I do contact work for that has paid me the exact same amount every Friday for two years (1099). What is the best software for me to use to keep up with my ( fairly simple accounting) and be able to print a professional looking receipt / invoice for my clients? . .
Great videos - very helpful, informative and concise. One bit I don't quite understand here though: why would a bookkeeper prepare sales invoices? Isn't that part of the day to day business operations to be done by a company and it's employees? Whereas an outsourced bookkeeper is usually an irregular contractor for a business, like weekly or monthly?

I’d expect to pay a long-term capital gain tax (15-20%) on the difference when you sell.
