I’m 69... I lost the love of my life ... your story is romance at its best ... be blessed... never let that inner energy burn out... fan the flame all you can... I’m a hopeless romantic and can feel your love for each other but most important the sincere respect you have for each other.. Raya, your insecurities are only yours, Luis loves you for your mind and heart... and the insecurities... you are fine in body and spirit... that’s all he needs... peace and love from an old hippie...
This video is coming in at the most perfect time for me... Because of rom-coms, fairytales and social media, I’ve created this mindset of “but if this person likes me enough, then he wouldn’t be able to not be with me. he would be with me right here, right now and nothing else will matter”, but that’s not the case always. every person is their own little Universe and sometimes people need time to heal and to deal with things like Louis did in the beginning of your story. Raya, I respect you for not giving up (many people are too proud to feel like they are “chasing” somebody around), giving him time and space (even though it can be super hard) and just trusting your intuition as it is telling you that this person is worth the wait because you do have this unique connection that is so rare and special. I guess this is exactly where I’m at right now. doing my things, being on my own, praying and believing, trusting that everything will fall into its place, and I have to stay patient, but without trying to force and control the situation too much. I love how different you both are yet so fluent together. Sometimes when I listen to a couple talk about one story it can get annoying hearing one person talk longer than the other. But watching you guys is so different. You both talk so differently and share very different experiences and perspectives. But the way you look at each other when the other person is speaking 🙏🙌❤️ with such admiration, respect and love. It’s so beautiful. I’m so happy it rained in rio as well 😆
I can really empathise with the ‘looking inward’ when you feel rejection. When you deeply value someone it’s hard to bounce back from especially when you haven’t quite established your own self worth. I wish Louis talked about his perspective during that time you had to ‘rebuild’, and how he processed it and supported you ? I can imagine people who are a bit less emotionally in touch just wig out
I remember like it was yesterday when you used to call eachother “travel buddies” and the whole time I was so convinced that you were actually dating 😄 then you kissed on new year’s and I was like I KNEW IT! YAYYYYY!! So happy for you both! 💖
I remember watching Louis every single day back then because I always wanted to travel, but I couldn't because I was still stuck in school. And I remember watching specifically the Cuba vlogs knowing there was something going on, I rewatched those videos sooooo many times! It's crazy to hear the backstory behind all of this, but it's also so nice to follow your journey as individuals and as a couple at the same as I'm growing up! Thank you for sharing.
Your story shows that “we” as RUclips viewers only see the good side of your life’s. I remember the daily vlogs with Rachel and I thought that Louis maybe had a relationship with her, but I was hoping that you two came together. Man, I was hoping because I saw the chemistry! At that time I just came across RUclips and daily vlogs and I was binge watching them the whole day As I was in a bad emotional state as our first baby just died. These moments of Louis daily vlogs are printed into my memory as they where an escape from reality for me. Thank you for sharing your story.

I think honestly that’s what makes the most powerful relationships. Taking the time to get to know each other, making boundaries, fixing issues internally and then realizing that you’re both ready to start that relationship. Your story sounds a lot like how my fiancé and my story. I know he’s the best part of my life and I fall more in love with him every day. Thanks for sharing your story
Louis, I felt the same in the beginning of my current relationship and we had a really rocky start as well. But just like raya said I wouldn't have changed a thing, and were so much stronger because of it. Thank you for sharing this story and being transparent on your journey ❤ love you both😊

Wow! I remember a Louis' vlog were he was driving (i think to the airport) and talking about wanting to find somebody, having a special connection and building a life together, i think at that moment he was really honest about the fear of that desire implies, but now looking you two together I think the old Louis fight that fear and find an amazing woman.
