The three headed wolf that splits into several is cut content from Bloodborne. Which I think is pretty cool. We finally get to see something we probably would have never gotten.
@@a30kc There is a indeed a cut boss called Great One beast but it's not a Cerberus like the one in Nightreign. He has barely any moves and his ai is broken. It's not a straight up reuse like OP says. Older ideas being finalized like the Red Wolf Of Radagon which was a cut DS3 boss or Demon Prince which was also a DS3 base game boss.

(Edit: Turns out a psn account is not required to play, but Sony has pulled the game from sale in non-psn regions and refuses to relist it - still a needlessly restrictive and anti-consumer practice.)

So, I've already seen this trailer, at the time I thought "Wow, Modders are definitely going to take assets from this game and use it in Base Elden Ring", but now at 4:30 into this video I'm only just realising there are for sure going to be some people that get past the easy anti-cheat and do some crazy stuff in this game. Depending on how the game works I'm sure people are going to be equiping different armor sets, spawning in boss weapons and using spells from the Shadow of the Erdtree (If they're not already in Night Reign). What other modding do you think will be possible in this game?

ND has been teasing about making a space fantasy game since early uncharted times, so finally seeing it become reality is just a dream come true. Back then when I first played the last of us I was so shocked how different it was to uncharted and now with intergalactic I’m sure we gonna have a completely different experience from the previous games. Ugh I hope they are gonna show more next year.

It's unlikely many demigods show up since they are so integral to the original games plot. That's what the director said anyway. Though he did say that doesn't mean none will show up. We know Morgott is there in some capacity since Margit is part of the game.
A few things about Nightreign because everyone is just making up shit and believing it. Junya Ishizaki was given the greenlight to direct it, he's the combat designer for Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne among others. Much as Sekiro was a spinoff and Dark Souls 2 was an opportunity to rear more talent. There will be plenty of original bosses. We've seen 4 (doge, that fucked up bird deviljho, a centaur looking guy, the baphomet frogman). Once again, we will be using movesets never seen in a from souls game. The last time we got something new like that were the new weapon archetypes in Shadow of the Erdtree. Very very exciting. The hooded woman likely is not the firekeeper sorry bros. Her boots and mask match that of the dagger wielding character archetype. There's a lot more but like, just wait for release. I'm very very excited, fromsoft is the best at implementing things they've learnt from previous projects, so seeing all their efforts side by side will be amazing, and maybe them taking some lessons from Nightreign forward will be revolutionary
That is one of their goals with it. To condense many of the moments that makes Elden ring great/fun into a faster paced and densely packed experience. While also building it upon a focus of strategy, cooperative play, adapting to new situations and making do with what you get quickly. Playing with effective use of limited time while preparing for the upcoming challenges. It's somewhat like a souls speedrun where you run around and set up your character as quickly and effectively as you can before facing the required bosses, because obviously in a speedrun there is a trade off when that preparation or set up just starts to eat into the time you could be using to actually beat the game. Striking that balance between set up and completion of the run.
Tree spirits will probably show up in some capacity anyway. Increases the variety for randomised session based games like this. Probably random little mini bosses which give good loot/power ups/xp.
I'm convinced Miyazaki decided to talk like royalty in that particular interview and meant "We" as in "Himself" Mr. "It's the size of Limgrave" himself lmao
"Lady Maria" and the goat guy are both characters I believe, the Duchess we've definitely seen as one of the playable characters, and people have been saying we don't know who the 8th character is, but I think goat man is our 8th character.

I'm sure someone commented this already, but the problem with Witcher 4 is that they retconned some lore, so that Ciri can be a Witcher, instead of a very powerful magic user, who only acts as a witcher/monster hunter.
As far as I can tell, people aren't angry because they're making Ciri the protagonist. It's because they made her a witcher, which is both lore breaking and a massive downgrade because Ciri's elder blood power is stronger than anything that a witcher could ever wish for. In lore, all attempts at letting a girl going through the trial of grass had failed. Not to mention the method to complete the trial has been lost, that's why they can't make more witchers. If they just remove the part where she drinks the potion and make it look like she's a witcher in name only, there wouldn't be a much backlash. Some would still complain about her face not being hot or something, but I think it's just silly because she looks pretty cool.

I’m pretty sure the dislikes are because of some lore about Ciri not being able to be a witcher according to the lore. I’d do some more digging into it but I really can’t be bothered with the Witcher as a series.
It's crazy to me how many boys get upset about playing as a female. If I refused to play as a male, I'd have never played Red Dead Redemption, God of War, Ghost, Uncharted, The Witcher 3, Alan Wake, The Last of Us 1 and probabaly many more that dont come straight to my mind. Also, I remember people being disappointed we found out in RDR2 we going to be playing as John Marston, yet Arthur Morgan ended up being massively loved by almost everyone. The Borderlands 4 main vault hunters failed to translate individuality and character into their designs except for the Siren (they're a given). They lack personality, they lack what makes them unique and what makes them stand out from the rest. BL3 wasn't the best but at least they didn't screw up the new VHs.
While the lore will be completely different from normal Elden ring I don't doubt that there'll be some canon information in this game about the main game
The director has confirmed this. He said that they only way it relates to Elden Ring is that it takes place after the shattering. Everything else is its own thing and I don't think it is supposed to be a game played for the lore. It's just a passion project that focus on just gameplay.

I didn't care for descendant much, bloodletting beast is boring and very easy to trivialise, keeper was ok but the fire trails are irritating. Fighting all but the first two is a bit of a chore for me. I don't hate them (mostly) but they definitely would deter me from doing the chalices in most runs.
Rouge-Lite, Co-op, Boss Rush. A lot of people don't like that idea because "its not souls enough" but hey I'm into it, let FromSoft try something new, worst comes to worst it's so bad Sony won't buy them anymore

Honestly it’ll be nice playing a souls game without feeling like I have to invest a lot of time in.
That is one of their goals with it. To condense many of the moments that makes Elden ring great/fun into a faster paced and densely packed experience. While also building it upon a focus of strategy, cooperative play, adapting to new situations and making do with what you get quickly. Playing with effective use of limited time while preparing for the upcoming challenges.
It's somewhat like a souls speedrun where you run around and set up your character as quickly and effectively as you can before facing the required bosses, because obviously in a speedrun there is a trade off when that preparation or set up just starts to eat into the time you could be using to actually beat the game. Striking that balance between set up and completion of the run.

Tree spirits will probably show up in some capacity anyway. Increases the variety for randomised session based games like this. Probably random little mini bosses which give good loot/power ups/xp.

I'm sure someone commented this already, but the problem with Witcher 4 is that they retconned some lore, so that Ciri can be a Witcher, instead of a very powerful magic user, who only acts as a witcher/monster hunter.

As far as I can tell, people aren't angry because they're making Ciri the protagonist. It's because they made her a witcher, which is both lore breaking and a massive downgrade because Ciri's elder blood power is stronger than anything that a witcher could ever wish for. In lore, all attempts at letting a girl going through the trial of grass had failed. Not to mention the method to complete the trial has been lost, that's why they can't make more witchers.
If they just remove the part where she drinks the potion and make it look like she's a witcher in name only, there wouldn't be a much backlash. Some would still complain about her face not being hot or something, but I think it's just silly because she looks pretty cool.

@askeladd8889 Nightrein is marketed as a coop game. It is designed as a coop experience.
Yea I really hope this gets changed but if I had to guess, the frame or input lag between platforms may make it difficult to have cross platform, but games like Fortnite have made this work for years now, so we’ll have to see

I’m pretty sure the dislikes are because of some lore about Ciri not being able to be a witcher according to the lore. I’d do some more digging into it but I really can’t be bothered with the Witcher as a series.

It's crazy to me how many boys get upset about playing as a female.
If I refused to play as a male, I'd have never played Red Dead Redemption, God of War, Ghost, Uncharted, The Witcher 3, Alan Wake, The Last of Us 1 and probabaly many more that dont come straight to my mind.
Also, I remember people being disappointed we found out in RDR2 we going to be playing as John Marston, yet Arthur Morgan ended up being massively loved by almost everyone. I can't wait for the Witcher 4.

The Borderlands 4 main vault hunters failed to translate individuality and character into their designs except for the Siren (they're a given). They lack personality, they lack what makes them unique and what makes them stand out from the rest. BL3 wasn't the best but at least they didn't screw up the new VHs.

The director has confirmed this. He said that they only way it relates to Elden Ring is that it takes place after the shattering. Everything else is its own thing and I don't think it is supposed to be a game played for the lore. It's just a passion project that focus on just gameplay.

@@ionobruPossible that since this is essentially a different timeline post-shattering (unclear if they mean the initial shattering or the whole war too) that the nox were successful in creating a lord of night in this version of the world. Of course just a theory and we'll have to find out in game. Most likely not the same though.

@@ringomandingo1015 Queen Yharnam and watchdog were the only ones I really liked. I didn't care for descendant much, bloodletting beast is boring and very easy to trivialise, keeper was ok but the fire trails are irritating. Fighting all but the first two is a bit of a chore for me. I don't hate them (mostly) but they definitely would deter me from doing the chalices in most runs.
Rouge-Lite, Co-op, Boss Rush. A lot of people don't like that idea because "its not souls enough" but hey I'm into it, let FromSoft try something new, worst comes to worst it's so bad Sony won't buy them anymore

You can’t go from bl3 vault hunters to these sauceless ass hunters. To this day fl4k is one of my favorite characters and so unique considering he’s a robot and the beats master. Then there’s Zane, moze and amara like come in gear box you gotta spice them up!
