I have been on this earth seven decades, and had become depressed. Thanks to you, I realized I have done things and seen things that few men have experienced. Thank you.
I feel for those brave boys on the way to Omaha beach, they didn't know the hell awaiting them, but they came thru and did the job , sacrificed they're life for all of us. Salute.
Thank you by the way to whom and whom ever took all these beautiful photographs for so long. It’s something that I and my children are learning about and totally made history of reality. Not just a movie. God bless you all
Captivating and beautiful as always. Just loved that stunning photo of Elizabeth Taylor. And the image of the amputee soldier returning, movingly powerful!
I love the photos and the mentioning of the year but I want to suggest you to pass them a little slower so I can read the intire text and have a good look at the photos.
On the first one, respectfully…you used the wrong pic. There’s a shot just before or just, from the same series, after where Sophia is REALLY literally looking sideways and not amused!
Love how whoever makes these videos always gets so much wrong. For example, the first picture of Sophia Loren and Jayne Mansfield is NOT the famous "side eye" picture, although it was probably taken at the same event.
Actually, most photos back then were colour on the film. Problem was there were next to no places that could develop colour photos yet. Everything developed back then was developed in B&W. Anything from then that is developed in colour was likely done a few decades later with the modernization of colour photo development.
just shows the more things change the more they stay the sane. if marylin monroe didnt exploit her sexuality or that jfk thing she wouldve been lime the millions other woman working in factories. never understood why she was the selected one, but in my older days i know why she was the selected one. same like today.
There is another somewhat famous shot, from the same meeting I presume, that better suits the description used for this one. In fact this one is new to me and looks great in this color version.
So many spoiled works of art ruined by modern meddlers coloring them. They would be so passed if someone ruined their original concept art. Such arrogance.
Wonder what was really wrong with the $100 car? It’s a good ploy to unload worthless cars, why do I imagine he had a car lot somewhere full of these bargains?
You don’t understand what happened in the picture. A wealthy person lost everything he had in the stock market crash and needed to get cash by selling his luxury car. $100 was a fortune in 1929 and few people had that much extra money lying around.
Hang tough my friend. Present time USA - You are about to see real estate sell for pennies on the dollar and many cars for $100 cash on the side of the road. Or, there will be hyper-inflation and that would be the famous photo (not shown here) of Germans burning paper money to stay warm in the winter. Either way, many will be looking through the garbage for their next meal.
WHY MUST I SEE ? Mrs Richards: " I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?

That's very true my friend Stay safe and stay healthy God bless you

👍👍👍👏👏👏💪💪💪
Loved the one of the guy dancing with his cat.
Thank you by the way to whom and whom ever took all these beautiful photographs for so long. It’s something that I and my children are learning about and totally made history of reality. Not just a movie. God bless you all
Incredible incredible moving photos
That was great ! Thank you so much ! Loved it !
Some powerful and moving shots as always. And some monumental moments from not just history, but stage and screen. Beautiful 😆😆😆
Very good please keep making these I watch every one 🙂🙂
The famous " sideways glance " pic is not in this collection but that one was taken on the same night.
As usual, so many great photos, thank you
Wow Jayne Mansfield!
Sweet and magical Marilyn Monroe
5:01 She's not hitchhiking ... she's selling flowers.
I'll buy them all 😍
That hitch hiker didn't have wait long.
Beautiful images, and a stunning presentation. The music is perfect. Thank you.
Captivating and beautiful as always. Just loved that stunning photo of Elizabeth Taylor. And the image of the amputee soldier returning, movingly powerful!
Elizabeth was just stunning.
2:04
00:01 Great Scott..!!!!!!!!!!!
very varied but moving compilation.
1:44 You mean a high voltage wire, of course! Nice collection!
R.I.P. poor amazing leopard. 😢❤
I have a sneaky suspicion that the big cat started the fight. 😃 👍
I love the photos and the mentioning of the year but I want to suggest you to pass them a little slower so I can read the intire text and have a good look at the photos.
Wow!
On the first one, respectfully…you used the wrong pic. There’s a shot just before or just, from the same series, after where Sophia is REALLY literally looking sideways and not amused!
These are beautiful incredible pictures but slow down
Just pause if you aren’t able to read the description fast enough or want to take in the photo. I have to.
Love how whoever makes these videos always gets so much wrong. For example, the first picture of Sophia Loren and Jayne Mansfield is NOT the famous "side eye" picture, although it was probably taken at the same event.
0:04 - where is Sophia Loren’s left arm ?
The music is beautiful, is there information available regarding..
A nice collection. However I could have done without the colorized classic black & white photos.
Can't believe this has only has 169 likes!

Amazing , wonderful , lovely
The "Side Eye" was Sophia Loren to Jayne Mansfield at the aptly named "Golden Globes".
It was at a party at Romanov's in 1957
Blue-eyed Elizabeth Taylor @ 2:03. False color for her lovely violet eyes.
Sofía Loren as always , classy beautiful actress . Jane Mansfield tried her “ best “ to get more attention .
The later being a common theme amongst parts of the population today.
I love Jayne Mansfield!
👍👍👍
5:02 I wonder which of the 50 cars that stopped she accepted a lift from
Sophia Loren and Rita Haywarth 👍🏻
Sophia Loren and Jane Mansfield i think you will find.
Colour photos from 1908, unlikely as commercial colour photos didn't really start until the late 1920's. I am guessing recoloured with photoshop

Thanks Einstein 🙄
What's the title/details of the background music?

same like today.
The photos of Winston Churchill really tell us all... Dear gods. All gods. No more proff is needed. No gods exist.
not seeing the sideways look at all in the first pic.
it looks like the girl is selling flowers, not hitchhiking.
Great pictures, but the music is horrible.
Not convinced about the shot with The Mona Lisa. It's a very small painting in reality, that one looks much to big to be genuine.
No, it really is that big.
@@joepkortekaas8813 Yes, I did a bit of research. I don't know where I got the idea that it was so small. Must be my age!
5:05 you can thank the Ted Bundy’s and Ed Kemper’s of the world for the end of that…
Hitchhikers can be just as deadly! Ever see the movie The Hitcher with Rutger Hauer?
Wonder how much 100 was in 1930
Looking at the woman in red at 2:25 makes me glad someone invented make up.
Ya Jayne Mansfield was gorgeous but she had nothing on Sophia Loren
*_(Q) What is notorious about photo number 1. I know who the women are, but don't understand the significance in the title?_*

Joe Dollinter, you must be smoking some crazy shit…
@@rh5563 The same to you

Don't like colorized pictures. look so fake. Too many in this video had to skip to the end and watch a different video.
First photo is the wrong one.
