Just a little advise, do a 14 days of stratification and you will see an higher rate of gernination with less time (6/7 days) and when they are in soil keep them in a shady place. The same for metasequoia and sequoia sempervirens. Great videos❤
@@blakespower i suppose so. you'd have to trust your descendants if you end up having them, other than im not sure, everything these days is up for taking it seems and trees are not off that list...
It is not 'one of the biggest trees', it is the largest tree on earth, both in terms of height and mass at full maturity. Giant Sequoias are native to northwest America, and Americans refer to them as 'Redwoods'. Maturity takes several hundred years, and they can live over 3,000 years. Some Redwoods, living today, are older than the birth of Christ.
Yes, that's correct, but my tree is a Sequoiadendron giganteum, not a Sequoia sempervirens. Giant Sequoias are different from Coast Redwoods; they're the largest trees by volume.
@@BonsaiBuddyTV Thank you! 1. Put in water for 24hrs 2. Put in fridge (how long time? min/max?) 3. Sowing Right? I am going to plant metasequoia on Ural. It is cold for sequoia there. Happy New Year!
You‘re welcome. I would let them for at least 2 weeks in the fridge. If you have enough seeds you could make some batches with different fridge times :) Happy new year too :)

Yes, you're right. I did this with other seeds and had more success. But I think the key is the quality of the seeds.
Anyone who plants a tree seed leaves hope for future generations.
The greener the planet, the better the world.
yeah if you can find a property that will not be developed or changed for 100 years

Ciao maestro , vorrei un consiglio , devo lasciarli alla luce dopo averli inseriti nel contenitore ? Grazi mille ❤

I stand corrected. You are right. My bad.
Metasequoia has same process?
Yes it’s the same. But the seeds must be stratificated before sowing.
