Here is the third part of my Stone Pine seedlings. The trunks have been thickened and the wire bit in. So it was time to remove them. After minor pruning, they will continue to grow over the summer. #bonsai #stonepine

Here is the second part of my Stone Pine seedlings. I decided to wire these Stone Pine seedlings and create an informal upright and cascade shape after removing their needles from the trunks and removing any unwanted downward growth on the branches. #bonsai #stonepine

Hello. Yes I find it very interesting. I germinate also my own seeds too. I´m always searching for seeds. Thank you for sharing. It is very helpful.
Hello! I'm glad you find it interesting. Thank you for your kind words; I'm happy to share!
Ótimo é o ficus. Qual é o seu substrato. Muito obrigado.
Thank you very much. I use akadama, pumice gravel, and lava rock as substrate.
Thanks for putting this wonderful art form skills and knowledge out there. Do you prune the roots each year. I just bought 3 little giganteums ( such a beautiful tree) i would like them to grow to about a meter tall.
Thank you very much. No, I don’t prune the roots yearly. I will prune them each time the pot becomes rootbound.
Porcini Mycorrhiza?
Sorry, I don't know what "Porcini" is.
Where did you buy the seeds?
I bought them at my local garden center.
Great video
Thank you very much Buddy!
Can we get an update on the trunk chop ficus!
Sure, but we need to wait until the ficus has grown more.
at the 3 min mark, why did the background behind your left arm expand? it is not like your arm was covering it up. a whole piece of the design slides down. ???????????? like, wtf man? oh, nice work on the tree. nice tips. thnxs
I think I did something wrong while editing.
@@BonsaiBuddyTV i'm glad it was you. i was thinking the drugs REALLY got ahold of me that time. that little square of paper kinda got me for a minute
Beautiful, more lively than the last few videos but that's good^^
Thank you so much Buddy <3
It is not 'one of the biggest trees', it is the largest tree on earth, both in terms of height and mass at full maturity. Giant Sequoias are native to northwest America, and Americans refer to them as 'Redwoods'. Maturity takes several hundred years, and they can live over 3,000 years. Some Redwoods, living today, are older than the birth of Christ.
Yes, that's correct, but my tree is a Sequoiadendron giganteum, not a Sequoia sempervirens. Giant Sequoias are different from Coast Redwoods; they're the largest trees by volume.
@@BonsaiBuddyTV I stand corrected. You are right. My bad.
Aku suka bonsai❤
Just a little advise, do a 14 days of stratification and you will see an higher rate of gernination with less time (6/7 days) and when they are in soil keep them in a shady place. The same for metasequoia and sequoia sempervirens. Great videos❤
Yes, you're right. I did this with other seeds and had more success. But I think the key is the quality of the seeds.
Awesome video! Could you keep updating on it?
Absolutely, I will continue the series. Thanks for your comment, Buddy!
Ciao maestro , vorrei un consiglio , devo lasciarli alla luce dopo averli inseriti nel contenitore ? Grazi mille ❤
Sorry for the late response, and I hope I understood correctly. Yes, you can place them in sunlight.
Ficus is the favorit tree in indonesia
Good to know. I like them too!
Ficus👍
Hola, en que pais es, gracias
Hi, i´m from Germany.
From the size of the seeds I am sure they are not white pine, usually white pine seeds are bigger, these seeds are black pine or red pine, mikawa matsu
Thank you for the comment! Hopefully I bought you the right seeds and this is just a bad batch. Not many have sprouted either. I will see what they are exactly as the trees continue to grow.
Very inspiring..👍 New subscriber..
Thank you very much Buddy! I hope you enjoyed it.
Your welcome bro
Ficus is a very fast growing tree.
Yes, you're right, they are very vigorous.

I bought them in my local Bonsai Shop.
@@BonsaiBuddyTV are you in the uk?
No, I am based in Germany. But I'm sure you can buy plenty of various seeds in the UK.
@@BonsaiBuddyTVЧто за грунт ты используешь?
Good job
Thank you very much Buddy!
Nothing like a good field maple! Great job!
Thank you, buddy. I hope I can get the maple through and make it survive.
Looking forward to seeing the tree recover! Also nice background^^
Thanks Buddy, always a pleasure to see you again.
Eu quero saber como consigo algumas mudas de cecoias Eu acho muito lindas estas árvores.
You could check your local nurserys or have a look for only shops.
No holes on that plastic bag needed?
You don’t need holes if you check for moisture or mold regularly.
Love to see the progress!
Thank you very much Buddy, i appreciate it!
Why did you cut all the new growth?
Hi Scott, I did it to encourage new growth and back budding for new branches.
@@BonsaiBuddyTV thanks for the reply. My stone pines sprouted today so your videos have been very insightful.
This is so wonderful to hear. Thank you very much. I hope your trees will do well in future.
Love the new content, good to see your stuff again^^
Thank you very much Buddy ;)
I've never heard of Pinus Pentaphylia, I always thought Japanese white pine was Pinus Parvifolia.
If I remember correctly, Pinus pentaphylla is a variety of Pinus parviflora. I think biologists would name it Pinus parviflora var. pentaphylla.
Finally a new video 🎉
Thank you!
When will you post part 4?
I hope as soon as possible. Unfortunately i dont have much freetime right now.
Would love to see more!!! Love it!!
Great video just what I was needed to know, thanks
Thank you very much!
What soil are you using here?
Just a basic soil mix of akadama, pumice and lova rock one third each.
Hello, can You send link to this propagator? Beautiful Pinus Pinea!
Thank you!😊 Unfortunately i don‘t have a link. I bought it at my local garden store.
Thank you for the upload, I was waiting for this part. The plants are about 9 months old now, right?
Thank you buddy, In this video the pines are about one year old. I already prepared the next part.
Love to see the development over time. Thank you!
Thank you very much!
Thanks for this video!
You‘re welcome!
I have 2 saplings I grew from seed. It was a kit I bought when I visited the Sequoia National Forest. They are a little over a month old now. Any tips for transplanting? They are growing fast!
Thank you for watching, and sorry for the late response. It depends on what you want the trees to be like. If you want to grow them bigger, take a bigger pot. If not, let them stay in the current pot. And style them the way you want.
I was just curious why you didn’t wire it in ? Very nice video btw . 👍🏻 I just got my first Satsuki yesterday & I think they are so beautiful .
Thank you 😊 I wanted to get a bigger pot but hadn‘t any left. But now it’s tied into a bigger one. Good luck with your Satsuki 👍
Really interesting
Thank you very much!
their seeds look tasty can you cook them and salt them ?
I dont think so 😅
Why did you not pull off the trunk needles?
I would have pulled them off if i had wired the trunk. But this tree will be styled formal upright so the needles weren‘t disturbing for me.
