    Hey there, my buddy got me a cone from italy, bigger than my fist. Full of vital seeds. You think i should stratify them first? Or will a germinating container be enough? Thx!

    • @BonsaiBuddyTV
      @BonsaiBuddyTV  2 года назад

      Awesome! I would do both if you have enough seeds. Good luck Buddy!

      @@BonsaiBuddyTV thx man! I think there´s like 40 seeds or so. You suggest opening the hard shell or let em soak for a while before planting in soil?

    • @BonsaiBuddyTV
      @BonsaiBuddyTV  2 года назад

      I wouldnt open it but i would scratch the shell so it can absorb the water faster.

      Just keep the soil moist but not wet. It depends on where you keep your plants.

      Can you use other types of inorganic soil? For better drainage :)

    What your media for seedling ?

    • @BonsaiBuddyTV
      @BonsaiBuddyTV  2 года назад

      I often take leftovers from repotting. So it’s a mix of akadama, pumice and lavarock.
