Wait, that character who's mother died grew up overnight. So he basically evolved. And if he evolved, then that proves the theory of humans being pokemon. Because how else would that make sense?
But that's just fusion. The Tamers just become one with their partner and go inside them. In Frontier, the person literally transforms into a Digimon, so the concepts are different.
Jin Jusuke The two still did better then what ever was going on here. It's like pokemon doing digimon but everything didn't go well. Also this is actually like frontier because the ones using those crystals things literally transform themselves into a pokemon like form gaining their power and abilities.
You know, I actually like the IDEA of RéBurst. But I also think that it could DEFINITELY used some spit and polish to be better. Like the inclusion of regular Pokémon battles with RéBurst being a thing for the large scale battles. The fan service getting toned down. The villain having a deeper motivation for world domination since I see nothing wrong with THAT cliché. And maybe some explanation about the Burst Hearts origins, or even a way from Pokémon to either go from PokeBalls to Burst Hearts or trainers sharing a mental link with the Pokémon in Burst Hearts.
+Trunks1stApprentice No on the fan service being toned down. Honestly, fan service is actually somewhat rare throughout the entire franchise.... sure, some character designs are pretty enticing, but any explicit material comes purely from fan art (you're actually hard-pressed to find so much as a hint of cleavage in a lot of official character art, especially in more recent years). That said, I can only see the fan service in ReBurst as a plus. Besides, ignorant westerners tend to be the only people who think fanservice of any kind is icky. In actuality, the mere presence of it does NOT detract from a story near as much as they'd like to claim.
Trunks1stApprentice Yeah i agree. I like the idea of BurstHearts being invented by Team Plasma. Sence they don't believe in the whole keeping Pokemon in Pokeballs. They should have invented there own. Plus remember the movie Pokemon 3? That had Dream Pokemon. Basically fake Pokemon made from your dreams. 5th gen had a lot of emphasis on the Dream World. What if Team Plasma found a way to make Dream Pokemon for them to use in battle and the admins are the only only ones to use the BurstHearts. They could tell you that the Pokemon that is kept in the Burst Heart is your soul mate and will be released when Team Plasmas ideals are accomplished.
Colress invented burst hearts at the request of Ghetsis. That's what I'd add. Also, Ryouga's Burst Heart is actually N's Zekrom. AND SO, EVERYTHING WAS FIXED.
I feel like Pokémon Adventures already does this for us. It's not TRYING to be adult, it just tells a really good story, and that's basically all you need. There's plenty of emotional challenges that happen during the manga, so I feel like RéBurst really missed the point. ...I should go finish reading the HeartGold/SoulSilver chapter...
+William Holtzclaw Not a bad manga, but over-rated as hell, especially since it's the only manga most people tend to know about. Besides, it's a shounen series just like ReBurst is, and despite people trying to claim otherwise, it's restricted by marketing just as badly as the anime is (practically every chapter has to showcase a new Pokemon or new attack or explain a game mechanic in some manner, and it's sometimes awkward as hell for it).
+YamatoFukkatsu Obviously these manga are made for young boys. Shounen literally means young boy so shounen manga's main demographic is young boys. That being said however, that does not mean that just because it is meant for younger audiences doesn't mean it can't also appeal to older audiences. Pokemon Special does tackle a few things that the anime would never do. So unlike the anime, which really is targeted for young children, Special seems to have universal appeal.
+MrCracky32 Not just the boys but also the girls too, cause whenever we see a shounnen anime we get stun by the action and hot guys as well. In the shounnen genre it has a lot of vivid colors and effects with it's own unique story and elements. Like there's guys out there that also enjoy shojo anime that's aim towards young girls, the reasons also being is because of how there's so many cute girls and the stories are also unique too. And your right it doesn't matter what genre or demographic it's depicted on, your allowed to like anything you like in this world. No matter how old you are or what gender you are.
I honestly think the idea of human/Pokemon fusions is a really interesting idea, primarily for the design. I believe such a concept has a lot of potential to be really interesting. Of course, with every great idea, you have to do it right with a good storyline to match up with the idea.
My GM in a pokemon tabletop game actually did this as a big reveal of the plot, though the changes are thus: It's a one-way process, and it requires a blood sacrifice of a pokemon in conjunction with a legendary pokemon's power. The villain leader's goal is to bring about the "next generation of humanity".
Me at the start of the video: "Oh, cool, a Pokémon manga that I never heard about and is aimed at a more mature audience, sounds nice" me at the end: "..... **sigh**..."
Jay M It's actually bad, unless you consider as being good a pokémon manga that has little to no actual pokémon fights, overused fanservice and your average "that person bad, we are good, good beats evil" plot
It would be SO EASY to make a more mature Pokemon. Hell the entire CONCEPT of Pokemon is actually harder to whittle down so that it is more appropriate for kids. Humans form relationships with and command incredibly powerful MONSTERS and use them to fight each other with fire blasts and water with pressure that can cut steel and mind control and a corrupt mafia-like organization looking to abuse their power for world domination? Count me the hell in! All it needs is older protagonists in the demographic you're targeting, some more mature themes and motifs like blood, swearing, death, etc. You can even tackle the whole "cock fighting" aspect of it and have the characters and the WORLD even struggle with the morality of Pokemon fighting. Maybe even eating the Pokemon to survive either by farming or in emergency situations? There was the Pokemon war that Lt. Surge was a part of, it could even go more into that.
+PANICBLADE Lol I don't think cussing and swearing is needed. And eating pokemon would just make people hate the series. But everything else I completely agree. The one grip of the franchise I had was if pokemon was ethical. While it was explored in Black and White the entire concept was completely thrown away once Ghetsis claimed his quest for world domination. It was a huge letdown.Maybe even go into further aspects of pokemon history like how did people meet them and what encouraged the two groups to coexist with one another. What led to the "cockfighting"? All of these questions would make an amazing series in the pokemon franchise. But unfortuately gamefreak seems to focus on children more considering pokemon's demographic so it may take a while for them to decide if they should try something like this again.
+PANICBLADE My personal Idea for a Manga would revolve around the idea of Arceus. Why? Because every book must end, every story must conclude, and every alpha must have an omega. The end of the pokemon universe. This could follow Arceus (Dethroned, perhaps humanized (Aka turned human due to loss of power)) or a champion of said deity going through many hardships, trying to stop the end as we know it. In my personal opinion, this could become a grand adventure going through a quickly decaying world. Of course, besides the omega (Which would be nice if it had a more human form, giving a bit of symbolism on the human nature) there would be a organisation that follows the end, and unlike the other teams that'd normally give in to the defeat or a child, they'd take on a more cult-ish outlook, giving anything for the cause. Besides the fact that this could be symbolic of a religious theme, their true purpose is to be the cause of the destruction, causing chaos for the sake of destruction, for their god. Along the adventure, it could also have many other themes played out and fleshed out backstories. It could even bring up the ethics of pokemon that was a part of Black and White or make mention of the shadow pokemon games in some way. In conclusion, I think that this could be one hell of a story if written and drawn out on paper...
normally i would just sit here and agree while throwing my own thoughts into the idea, but i think that this time i should definently take the chance to promote a fanfic that im workin on that looks upon these exact themes downside is, the 'cannonisity' of it makes it a bit harder to write than you might think(thus no chapter 1 yet), but since you guys have thoughts to the series that are very similar to mine, maybe we can turn it into a 'group project', finding a place to chat(facebook, twitter, etc) and work on it together if yes then i'll give you the fill in when we start up chatting if no then boo-hoo
Same actually. I love Pokémon gijinkas not only for design, but also the idea of it. I’m one of those people that wish Pokémon were real, but Pokémon gijinkas are almost better. :3
It's not a bad aesthetic, though it's not something I could see in a main line pokemon game unless it was limited to a very small amount of possible pokemon, or just to specific villains.
I honestly wished that ReBurst would've gotten bigger in the world because I really enjoyed it. Imagine getting some Pokemon games where you could play as fused Pokemon. It had so much potential.
TheWip9 Or make it about the Legendary Pokemon. And I don't mean their adventures like in the movies, I mean legitimately about their lives. There's definitely some potential to delve into their possible personalities, especially the mascot legends, since we never see theirs in the movies (except for Lugia).
TheWip9 How about making one about James? He's like the coolest guy in the series. Or maybe some story where N hangs out with James before they part ways and each of them follows their main story life.
I would like to see a pokemon manga about a trainer that only takes in and trains disabled pokemon like a hitmonchan with one arm or a Pikachu that cant use electric attacks
I wanna see a trainer who strategically measure his pokemon power, aka caught a weedle, measure the range of its string shot, power of how the string shot can hold, how powerful the tackle is, and a indept measuring of pokemon powers like how Jojo stand is
I've always had an interest for Pokemon ReBurst due to the potential it could've had. With gijinkas/pokemon fusions and pokemon in their traditional pokeballs, that oculd've opened up to be a wonderful story right there if they simply focused on that aspect. Pokemon, PLEASE try this again. Don't go for fanservice this time, just focus on story. That's all you need. A little bit of fooling around is perfectly fine, but give us a manga more focused on the storyline and we'll most likely show more appreciation
I saw pictures of this manga before and liked the idea, and think gijinkas are pretty cool, especially the ones with elaborate clothes. Too bad it ended up not being a very interesting manga.
KelvinBelmont Hey, Axess is my favorite season. x) Yet as biased as I am that both sides are great... yah... I'll have to agree the fusion aspect was the beginning of the bad turn in both, just I'll say not the root of the problem.
KelvinBelmont That's actually a good way of looking at that! I'm surprised I didn't make that connection, despite owning several of the Battle Network games and having watched the shows for a few years! Nicely done!
@@raviothethief8292 I believe the 2nd chapter lightly touches on it, how Ryouga said "If I continue like this, this body won't hold out much longer... That goes for me... and you." I assume the "you" is Zekrom within the crystal I haven't read much further past there
Mature character development was what I really loved about the XY chapters of the Adventures manga. It actually dealt with depression in a serious and realistic way. I'd say the Adventures manga (in its entirety) is the most adult Pokémon story we'll ever get or need.
Yeah, he could do that. Other than the top 10 pokemon spin-offs he never really talked about PMD. It is a really good games (exept GtI) and it has some really dark moments. SPOILER ALERT!!! like for example when everybody wants to kill you cause of surpesticion (PMD1) or when the main character dies (PMD2).
Felipe Cyrineu gti wasn't bad per say it just was the worst one out of all of them, then again I cant even remember the story unlike the others and I played through it twice
Felipe Cyrineu this would've been a spoiler to me if I hadn't looked up the ending 2 days ago instead of sucking it up and playing the dang thing :D laziness FTW
If you want to see something that turned a kids show into an adult show, watch Legend of Korra. The first season starts like the original avatar and the last season literally involves hitler and ethnic cleansing.
***** Korra wasn't all that, i feel like it didn't flow as well as Aangs story and as such was more annoying to follow. you can't say the emotion was better in korra as that isn't true, case in point season 2 Earth finale. Korra could have been great but ends up being more fan fiction than a continuation of the story.
***** Don't forget implied lesbian relationships. Also, the first season was already really mature, what with the social unrest and suicide and all that.
Those fusion stones could work, if it was with normal pokemon as well. You know using all 6 pokemon and the fusion stones at the same time could create some awsome battles. But also showing what happens to pokemon when captured, like I dunno you catch a pidgioto than the baby's starve because the mother can't feed them.
THIS COULD'VE BEEN GOOD. Think about all the actual mature ideas they could throw in! Like: - Should a guy who transformed into a pokemon-fusion fight actual pokemon? - Should a guy who transformed into a pokemon-fusion be allowed to breed with pokemon? - Are there people who actually fear people who transform into pokemon-fusion, so much that they want to outlaw and discriminate them? - Could to much usage of the fusion have negative effects? - Does the goverment have actual policemen or armies to take down pokemon-fusion going rogue? - How expensive are those stones so you can transform into a pokemon-fusion? Do you have to be among the 5% richest people in the world? Hell, even stupid ideas would be fine like: - Can pokemon-fusions learn more than 4 moves? - Will a person who transforms into a pokemon-fusion still be able to use HM's when they transform back unless they visit a certain person? - Can Pokemon-Fusions evolve? There could be muuuuuuuuch more, but it's no use: they didn't choose to use their brain to make a good manga, so why should I?
Nurse Valentine If the writers did answer those questions, they'd probably do something like: - Should a guy who transformed into a pokemon-fusion fight actual pokemon? -> They could probably spend an arc or so on this before coming to the conclusion that, unless a pokemon-fusion is either training other pokemon or is trying to defend against a rampaging pokemon, they shouldn't use their powers like that. - Should a guy who transformed into a pokemon-fusion be allowed to breed with pokemon? -> It'd probably get touched upon, but then the writers would just say "*no*" and move on. Only in fanfiction would we actually get the results of pokemon-fusions breeding with actual pokemon. If we got some good writers in on that, the results would either be some of the coolest-looking pokemon ever, or they'd be eldritch abominations. - Are there people who actually fear people who transform into pokemon-fusion, so much that they want to outlaw and discriminate them? -> This is a question that I'd like to see answered, and other stories actually discuss this topic. More often than not, the answer is "yes", and it'd be hilarious to see what kind of slurs people would come up with for pokemon-fusions - Could to much usage of the fusion have negative effects? -> It'd get discussed for about a panel or so, then in later chapters, we'd get to see people taking on pokemon-esque personality/physical traits. I don't know whether or not the writers could asspull a cure or make the changes permanent. - Does the goverment have actual policemen or armies to take down pokemon-fusion going rogue? -> Going off of the way the manga currently is, definitely not. There don't seem to be that many pokemon-fusions for the government to consider them a large issue, which kind of works to the villains' favor. Although, in better hands, the government probably would make their own pokemon-fusions to deal with them. - How expensive are those stones so you can transform into a pokemon-fusion? Do you have to be among the 5% richest people in the world? -> This'd get handwaved by saying that they can't be bought, only found or man-made. In case of the latter, the materials for the actual stones could be very uncommon, but you could get them off an auction if you're lucky enough. - Can pokemon-fusions learn more than 4 moves? -> Yes, but it'd have to be moves related to that specific type. For instance, since Ryouga has Zekrom, he'd have access to every dragon and electric type move. He'd just have to learn them first. - Will a person who transforms into a pokemon-fusion still be able to use HM's when they transform back unless they visit a certain person? -> It'd probably be a hard rule that they can't. But then, an arc would center around one person who can and how he/she is being exploited for his/her abilities. - Can Pokemon-Fusions evolve? -> Digimon Frontier had their Spirit Digivolutions evolve. So, since this manga takes the human-monster fusion idea from Frontier, probably. We could also assume that the writers could allow pokemon-fusions to mega-evolve if the associated pokemon could mega-evolve already.
WanderingAsura I love the term 'eldritch abomination'. 'Eldritch Horror' already sounds awesome as hell, but that's just a new level of mind-numbing, nightmare inducing, badassery.
Nurse Valentine hentai name please also to answer the could they evolve. from what I've seen from book 1 all fusions are at the end of the evolutionary chain.
Personally, I've always had the idea of the legendaries losing their powers and reverting into a weaker, human state by Arceus as a result of their violent and chaotic actions. With this weaker power, they learn to rely on other people and Pokemon and even gain humility along the way.
"Straight male teenage boys"? Does that mean there exist female teenage boys as well? And does that mean there exist male and female teenage *girls* as well?
@@mysticdragon476 I think his body ages, but his appearance doesn't. Kinda like Sakura's mentor. Ash doesn't age because no one knows what to do with him...
Off topic but........I feel like I am the only one who doesn't mind getting a Mystery Dungeon title instead of a main series game this year. X and Y was a rushed gen. Good games but still. A wait would do good. And after the shit that was Gates to Infinity, we deserve a better installment to one of Pokemon's greatest spinoff series.
Damien ツ I wouldn't mind if we got a Z this year. At least that way, they're not making a new game from the ground up, and they could fix some of the problems with X and Y such as the lack of a post game (not counting the Looker stuff because it just didn't feel that substantial to me), hardly any Legendaries, and even the ridiculous ease of catching the Legendaries. Seriously, I just sat there throwing ultra balls at Mewtwo at full health and caught it on the third throw.
Damien ツ I just hope that they make it more like the first two. And that you can choose the gender of your partner, because being male by default was really stupid.
Damien ツ It's funny, I hardly even realized that this year doesn't yet have a main series game. Until I read that comment, it didn't occur to me that ORAS was last year. I think I'm fine with not getting a new main series game this year. Besides, Mystery Dungeon is a gem. The biggest gem that ever happened to Pokemon. If that completely overshadows and replaces what would be a new main series game, then by all means, do it. That makes me perfectly happy. Just as long as it isn't trash. If this new Mystery Dungeon game sucks, I'm gonna be pissed.
I hate the way people use the term "fan service" Fan service is suppose to be a good thing! That the companies are aware of the fandom in a positive way! The fact that Cloud can wear female only equipment in Dissidia is fan service, tits in manga is pandering. Having an Akuma reference in Okami and having Issun mention that reference to Akuma in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is fan service. Jiggle physics is pandering!
If anything Pokemon ReBurst kinda stole from Digimon Frontier, not Digimon XRoss Wars. It still looks interesting, just because it's generic it doesn't make it bad.
Since a lot of people in the comments are providing a discussion, though I would add to the pile. Here are some ways you could make a more mature, and in this case thought-provoking, Pokémon property. 1) Give the geniuses of the Pokémon world proper origin stories. What makes the professors special? Who inspired them? Where did Bill, Steven, and even Giovanni come from? 2) Focus on the organizations that operate outside the league. This includes Silph Co., Mossdeep Space Center, sea transportation companies, and other conglomerates. 3) Pick a different time period. What is the implication of Pokémon in the Medieval Era? Renaissance? Colonial Era? Revolution Era? Early 20th century? Wartime? 4) Do what Pokémon Chronicles did. Remember that show? Focus on characters outside of Ash's/Red's circle of friends. What is their daily routine? When was the best time of there life? What moment changed them? And, my personal favorite: 5) Write about the Gym Leader process. These are people of all ages from Tate and Liza, Maylene, and Clemont to Watson, Pryce, and Wulfric. They are focus on Pokemon types. Each of these people has years of training and honing. Most likely they are all League Champions. You can write that any way you want. What are the politics? What national boundaries are in place? How does someone become a Gym Leader? What about the Gyms that aren't official? What's their position? Just some thoughts.
This... Honestly doesn't seem like the worst. You all want "mature" pokemon, and you know what? Read freakin' Adventures. Seriously. Reburst seems like a fresh idea, and if they took the time to dive deep into the lore of it, it could have been interesting! As for human evolving... Pokemon Conquest.
Pokemon Adventures would be rated at 12+ most of the time, Jwittz is referring to something that would be rated at 16-18+. And he's not just talking about physical violence, he means a pokemon story with dark themes and ethics
darkblade2071 He did, as he has done a video on it. Yes, I do admit I am a bit blinded by shounen love and came off as snappy. I just felt he was so disappointed at the advertisement that he wasn't being subjective to the actual content. Granted, I found it interesting, so differing opinions there. Awesome Okay, you have a point. Just... compared to the games... Adventures is so much more mature, I sometimes forget we can take it further. Somewhat off subject, but is it bad I'm kinda afraid of a darker take on Pokemon? Like, darker than Adventures?
I can say one thing about this manga; I really like (most of) the character designs. Even if I'm biased from absolutely adoring Humanizaed/Gijinka Poekmon, the humans themselves all look pretty unique, even to most Main series characters, though the female designs are definitely dicey, which is honestly a bit disappointing. Can't say much more though, since I have not read it. It is a bit disappointing this was marketed as a "Mature" manga...Tone down some stuff and it'd definitely have fit in better.
Wow lol... But...doesn't that Pokemon manga with the Arbok that got cut in half count as a Pokemon manga for an older audience? I am not a manga reader but I kind of assumed... Personally, if they were going with this route...I honestly would have wanted a Poke manga where both the humans and their Pokemon partners fight beside each other. Instead of the trainer telling the Pokemon what to do, you would have both it and its trainer would do the same amount of work in fighting. Maybe have that set up with the story taking place in the Poke war with the Gym Leader Serge or something. I'd love to read something about that.
LMaruchan Your comment reminded me of this Pokemon manga staring a boy called Hareta. Hareta grew up in forest raised by the wild Pokemon so he's a bit wild himself and when he becomes a trainer he sometimes participates in the battles with his Pokemon. It's called "Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Adventure!" if I've piqued your interest. And yeah the Adventures manga with the Arbok getting cut in half can be pretty scary but it's marketed towards kids just the same.
LMaruchan Pokemon Adventures, the manga you refer too, is also shonen, which can be incredibly gory at times like Hunter X Hunter or Attack on Titan. There's 4 main manga audiences, Shonen (young boys), Shoujo (Young Girls), Seinen (Older male teens and adults), and Josei (Older female teens and adults). Each magazine has an intended demographic even if it has appeal across demographic, Shonen Jump (which publishes Naruto, DBZ, and One Piece) is joked that it became Fujoshi (fangirl) Jump when it started publishing series with tons of pretty boys with fanservice. As for your manga idea... I don't like the idea of humans attacking Pokemon. It would make any protagonist unlikable in my eyes.
ew275x Well, Hareta is really just a kid. Not a teenager, a legit, eight-to-ten year old kid. And a lot of the time it's because he wants to actually fight alongside his Pokemon or protect them. C'mon, a kid protecting his pets? That seriously kinda sweet. In my opinion, it adds a wildcard element while also making him more than just a cardboard happy-go-lucky kid. Not that I completely disagree with you. If Hareta was in an older age group, that sort of behavior would almost definitely come across as underhanded.
secretasianman108 Yeah but a kid protecting his pet by slapping or hitting another person's pet makes you a dick, even if it's something like a Charizard. Maybe if the trainers supported their pokemon more and the opponent was helping their pokemon or disrupting the human opponent it would be better. Have a trainer give aura to his lucario or a trainer using an UV light to help a venusaur or making the battles less about combat skills and emphasizing other skills like cooking or completing an obstacle course.
I've seen this concept several times before - a human character who can fuse with a non-human character to create a more powerful mix of the two via some sort of device or artifact. It's a neat idea, but because it's been done enough times to lose its uniqueness you really have to make it stand out to make it work, and it seems like ReBurst just didn't do that.
Ehhh, i think the concept pretty good actually, and i read few chapters and i do liked it. And too bad, it wasn't really popular. It feels like they're trying to be like Shin Megami Tensei Digital Devil Saga. But yeah, if just they wasn't really shonen like Naruto, i bet it would be better. Or just like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
Hey Jwittz, My have Cosplayed Pokemon Gijinkas for around 5-6 years now and i enjoy it as you can take any pokemon and create armour/costume in any way you like HOWEVER i understand that you have to be accurate to the pokemon as much as you can or others will not see it! To me its another side of Cosplay as you can do a gijinka of anything (Look at Bowsette recently) But hey there must have been some pokemon Gijnka Cosplays you have seen and thought they looked good!
I really wish this got an english translation Jwittz's opinion seems pretty spot on from what ive seen but my god do i love the action in this I'd honestly just read it so i could see more of that action
SuperSaiyanLink2464 Same here. I also like some of the character designs and think the fusion idea is pretty neat. It's just a shame that the characters and plot are rather generic and that there's too much fanservice.
James Sinn Yeah, Digimon Frontier is my second favorite season. To me, it had some of the best character development in the series, and they really had to work for their victory over the Royal Knights. Takuya and Kouji got their asses handed to them over and over again, and they had to slowly get stronger each time to finally win. Who cares that they turned into Digimon? Why is that any dumber than little kids running around with Digimon partners and basically being nothing but a big battery for them. It's a different dynamic, but that doesn't make it worse.
So Reudig That's why I said Frontier is my second favorite. For me, it's Tamers, Frontier, Adventures, Adventures 02, Xros Wars, and Savers at the bottom of my list.
poyokirby I haven't read it, but I grew up on Digimon and Pokemon equally...I don't recall Digimon having much fanservice in it tbh. Guess even oldschool digimon was more Mature than...whatever this is.
PortraitofaDream It had some fanservice, but most of it was cut in the dub versions (though the fanservice in the first 3 series can be counted with one hand)
Honestly the fusion part could be interesting like how in digimon frontier with some spirits it was a struggle to control their monster or some form was too powerful to use until they found something / whatever plot. Maybe even if they try the idea again a Pokémon could be too powerful and take over the fused form where the hero would have to beat the Pokémon to free the person. In short the idea isn't a bad one but it sounds like it's just too generic in this story.
Bololorg No they are both from the future sent back to ensure the destruction of the Pokemon Franchise I followed them back to stop them Don't believe a word they say they will lead you astray
So Pokemon added Mega Evolutions, which everyone already cited to be way too Digimon-esque, but also had a Digimon Frontier-esque series? ITS A SIGN. SOON, POKEMON AND DIGIMON WILL SLOWLY FUSE INTO A SINGLE MONSTER-CAPTURING/TAMING ENTITY. And then they will absorb Monster Rancher for good measure. XD
good job pokemon, do the thing that made everyone hate digimon, monster fusing with humans, whats next? pokemon robots? pokemon super saiyen? pokemon shinigami? pokemon fusing together?
Pokémon fusing together already exists in the form of Kyurem though. Besides, you can't say that it wouldn't be a good idea so long as it stays in a spinoff title.
how does that work? as long as its spinoff bad ideas are okay? a monster pet and human fusion is a bad idea whether its pokemon or not see digimon for the worst example
luke V I just said that expanding on the concept of fusions between two Pokémon would work for a spinoff title but not for a main series game. I'm not talking about fusions between Pokémon and Trainer, which sounds like a horrible idea.
in digimon fusion (xros wars) there is no human digimon fusion or at least not that I remember I think you are thinking for digimon Frontier or digimon tamers
well, it may not be that great a manga, but there Is Daimond and Pearl adventures(not pokemon adventures, it's different). it's an all ages pokemon manga that follows lucas-sorry, HARETA, a boy who was raised by pokemon. check it out!
Oh no, the anime/manga has blatant fanservice! Wait, are people actually surprised at this? That's like the go-to option when you have nothing better to draw
Adam VanDerHoeven Also called "Anthropomorphism". You'll also be pretty successful if you search for "Furry". There's some negative connotations attached to all three words, but I can at least assure you that while the negatives have some basis, they aren't the rule but the exception. The negative connotations if you can't guess is primarily sexual. :P So tread lightly while searching for images. You should be fine though. You'll also be in luck if you are actually interested in the sexual, as there is plenty of it online, but I'll let you figure it all out for yourself from here. Also if you already knew all of this but you were only interested in the word Gijinka, then my bad. XD By hey, it's barely any different. OH! By the way, if you don't know about it, one of the most popular examples of Gijinka + Pokemon is called Moemon, where you can play traditional pokemon games where you ... well, you catch little girls that look like pokemon. :P
MrServantRider Hey the Anthropometric ones like catgirls and things like that are awesome T_T especially when they're cute and you just wanna squeeze them
Adam VanDerHoeven I don't blame you, but if you're interested in that kind of stuff where it isn't sexual it IS there. It'll be a lot like the manga discussed in this video I think.
Hey you know about the ghost girl in X and Y yeah....I played Pokemon Black and in Marvelous bridge there is a girl that if you touch her she disappeares and a guy says Huh...Wha... D-did she just disappear? After that if you talk to an old lady she says that a girl used to play with her abra there but if you leave and talk her without seeing the girl the old lady says Marvelous Bridge is really mind bogging! So I am taking a rest! even if you talk to her again at the same time she wont say about the girl that was playing with her abra before Marvelous bridge was build (After talking to the girl it takes a day or two to come again)
Unless it was actually stated as a series for mature audiences, I'm not sure why you would assume that a shounen series would have a deep story and other mature themes. I would assume it was aimed teenage boys, not 20 year-olds like you said.
"A more mature take on the Pokemon universe." "So you mean Pokemon Adventures/PokeSpecial, right? I mean that had really interesting, serious arcs, particularly in the G/S and R/S/E inspired arcs, and it also drew heavily on the games for inspiration in a way few, if any, others did-" "No I kinda meant one with boobs." "...i'm done with you."
i know Jwittz didn't want a manga with boobs. My joke was at ReBurst's expense. That said, anything pokemon-related that would have an age rating of 16+ can just suck it because that's not really... 'mature' so much as it is behind a content filter. You can do mature and interesting storytelling really well in a place and way where younger readers can enjoy it as well. Again, look at a ton of Pokemon Adventures, particularly the G/S/C arc finale and the reveal on the villain's motivations, and some of the backstories on the cast. Like, wow.
Demosthenes6666 You realize that Adventures is still for kids, right? I agree with you that it's comparatively "darker" than most other pokemon related things, but it's as "mature" as everybody makes it out to be. It's "deeper" And perhaps more "human" But not what everybody says it is.
Not sure why you brought up Digimon Fusion Réburst is closer to Frontier in concept, even Biomerge Digivolution from Tamers would have been a more valid comparison. DigiXross is functionally Jogress/Fusion, which itself has been a staple of Digimon since practically the beginning, to the point the former was straight up assimilated into the latter when XW’s Digimon were given Levels back in October of 2020. Biomerge refers to specifically the fusion of a human with a Digimon and is the basis of Hybrid as a Level and thus Spirit Evolution in Frontier as well as the Bio Hybrids of Data Squad. And while the Xros Wars manga does reference it at one point, it was still considerably rare compared to Jogress/Fusion. Even Biomerge’s offshoot Spirit Evolution went basically unused after Frontier until the most recent Digimon card game, prior to which the closest representation it had was the Spirits being used as Digi-Eggs that hatch directly into the Hybrid level Digimon in Masters.
I found Pokemon Adventures to be rather mature. Like, shiiiiit. Arbok gets cut in half. And gets better, sure. But then Maxie gets fuggin murdered. But more than that, it's more than just... Well... Cockfighting. The protagonists don't just send out pokemon and have them beat the crap out of each other, they work in tandem with their partners. There's a part with Giovanni, if I recall correctly, where a valid tactic used was preventing your opposition from releasing their pokemon. And attacking the trainer, from my memory at least, was always something that was on the table. Which is, in the very least, the only way I can imagine my pokemon protagonists at the moment. Send out Flygon and have it throw you so you can drop kick the enemy trainer in the fuggen chest.
I'd love to see them take another stab at a more mature Pokémon manga. They could delve into the topics of Pokémon dying and the ethics behind them fighting (y'know, the thing PETA's been bugging us about since 1998?). You could have a Pokémon uprising, where they've put up with enough of us using them and decide to fight back. There could be Pokémon trainers using their Pokémon to harm other people directly. Heck, they could probably try Gijinka again, if they just handle it better. There's a lot of potential here. Really hope they tap into it sometime soon.
Mature Pokemon manga with character development and emotion
Did you mean: Pokemon Adventures?
Am I the only one who likes the obscure untranslated Pokemon manga The Heroes of Fire and Thunder?
Corey Pavao Yep.
Exactly
@@TheAnimewolfchick nobody cares....?
@@TheAnimewolfchick why what fun is with 69 seriously why is it such a big number now well not now cuz it died off like a year ago
Wait, that character who's mother died grew up overnight.
So he basically evolved.
And if he evolved, then that proves the theory of humans being pokemon.
Because how else would that make sense?
+Victoria “Vickie” Attis or it could have been a euphemism of the character maturing or "growing up"
Oh, yeah. That also makes sense.
+Victoria “Vickie” Attis OH MY GOD CUBONE EVOLVED INTO MAROWAK!
+Victoria “Vickie” Attis No wonder Ash hasn't grown up from being 10.
+derp derpington but how did he grow up without learning from parents
I gotta say Digimon Frontier did the whole "person changes into monsters" thing way better.
But that's just fusion. The Tamers just become one with their partner and go inside them. In Frontier, the person literally transforms into a Digimon, so the concepts are different.
Yeah.
DonutKitty 168 Who cares about what you like?
Jin Jusuke The two still did better then what ever was going on here. It's like pokemon doing digimon but everything didn't go well. Also this is actually like frontier because the ones using those crystals things literally transform themselves into a pokemon like form gaining their power and abilities.
That's what I first thought when I first heard about it.
Yeah, I think I'll stick with the Adventure manga.
Adventures is awesome. Just got Omega Ruby the other day, thinking of re-reading the Hoenn saga.
Kefkaesque13 Yeah. Me too
Everytime Jwittz complained about the manga not having deep and mature subjects I was like "Just read fucking Pokemon Adventures!!"
Oras is out? All I see everywhere is black and white.

i though that was literally... the pokemon manga.

This is so true it hurts. Pokemon adventures is DARK.
+Trunks1stApprentice Okay, to add onto this, apparently, trainers DO have the abilities to communicate with Pokémon in Burst Hearts.
+Trunks1stApprentice That would make it more interesting.
The emerald arc in Pokemon adventurers was super emotional to me. I felt like N was a clone of Emerald (character)
Ah yes Adventures is my favorite canon... It really gives me the feels!
we alredy have a mature pokemon manga, just go read pokemon adventures
+William Holtzclaw Not a bad manga, but over-rated as hell, especially since it's the only manga most people tend to know about. Besides, it's a shounen series just like ReBurst is, and despite people trying to claim otherwise, it's restricted by marketing just as badly as the anime is (practically every chapter has to showcase a new Pokemon or new attack or explain a game mechanic in some manner, and it's sometimes awkward as hell for it).
meh, but at least it has interesting characters, and an original narrative that isn't terrible
also, what's wrong with being shounen? dragon ball and one piece are arguably the best manga out there, and they're both shounen
Pegalux that the only thing it was lacking a gud story to keep people hooked
I think Burst should be the "gimmick" for Generation 9, like Mega evolutions, Z-Moves, and Dynamax.
@@spade4acer they could reintroduce it at some point, at least in one of spin off games like legends arceus, cause there is definitely potential
Me at the start of the video: "Oh, cool, a Pokémon manga that I never heard about and is aimed at a more mature audience, sounds nice"
me at the end: "..... **sigh**..."

Not to mention romantic relationships. Just to shut up all the other shippers, haha.
+PANICBLADE I know, right? I mean, tons of fangames already do that.
In conclusion, I think that this could be one hell of a story if written and drawn out on paper...
normally i would just sit here and agree while throwing my own thoughts into the idea, but i think that this time i should definently take the chance to promote a fanfic that im workin on that looks upon these exact themes
downside is, the 'cannonisity' of it makes it a bit harder to write than you might think(thus no chapter 1 yet), but since you guys have thoughts to the series that are very similar to mine, maybe we can turn it into a 'group project', finding a place to chat(facebook, twitter, etc) and work on it together
if yes then i'll give you the fill in when we start up chatting
if no then boo-hoo
Fusion does not = gijinka just like anthropomorphism does not = furry.
The reason I know this manga was because of Gijinka stuff. Man was I a weird kid back in the day haha
MrBubblebox yeah I really don't want people thinking this is what gijinka is...
A gijinka manga could have potential, fusion not as much.
MrBubblebox They're all horrifying either way...
***** Care to explain why?
I actually really like gijinka, yet only really as a design thing. It's just interesting to me how Pokemon-Human fusions turn out design-wise.
(Nihilego intensifies)
Same actually. I love Pokémon gijinkas not only for design, but also the idea of it. I’m one of those people that wish Pokémon were real, but Pokémon gijinkas are almost better. :3
Well, I'm here only for the designs (except te female ones... *stares at Rug* Brr, they're disgustingly unnecessary.)
How to make a simple mature pokémon manga: Make one about N
TheWip9 or just learn that fan service does not = mature
TheWip9 Or make it about the Legendary Pokemon. And I don't mean their adventures like in the movies, I mean legitimately about their lives. There's definitely some potential to delve into their possible personalities, especially the mascot legends, since we never see theirs in the movies (except for Lugia).
TheWip9 How about making one about James? He's like the coolest guy in the series. Or maybe some story where N hangs out with James before they part ways and each of them follows their main story life.
AmazingHoffman James hanging out with N just sounds like bad fanfiction but then again reburst
TheWip9 Nature?
I would like to see a pokemon manga about a trainer that only takes in and trains disabled pokemon like a hitmonchan with one arm or a Pikachu that cant use electric attacks
A manga about disabled Pokemon? I’d pre-order that!
NRB10ful a Charizard that cant fly learns how to use normal and ground type moves
I wanna see a trainer who strategically measure his pokemon power, aka caught a weedle, measure the range of its string shot, power of how the string shot can hold, how powerful the tackle is, and a indept measuring of pokemon powers like how Jojo stand is
What about a disabled trainer?
So... basically Anime Pikachu? It pretty much ONLY uses Thunderbolt... it uses an electric ATTACK, but none beyond that hardly.
+Jack Of All Trades (Akanebae) If you've been looking at TyranitarTube....you're going to be very happy.
I know this is late but it's just what do you expect from the fan service scenes
@@serraramayfield9230 why? What do you mean?

Cedric Guazon xD
I saw pictures of this manga before and liked the idea, and think gijinkas are pretty cool, especially the ones with elaborate clothes. Too bad it ended up not being a very interesting manga.
Pokemon Reburst.........so like Mega Man Battle Network anime when they started using Cross Fusion?
KelvinBelmont Hey, Axess is my favorite season. x) Yet as biased as I am that both sides are great... yah... I'll have to agree the fusion aspect was the beginning of the bad turn in both, just I'll say not the root of the problem.
You mean Megaman Starforce?
KelvinBelmont ya except that was pretty good
SSBfangamer Starforce used EM Wave Change; NT Warrior (what we're talking about) used Crossfusion.
KelvinBelmont That's actually a good way of looking at that! I'm surprised I didn't make that connection, despite owning several of the Battle Network games and having watched the shows for a few years! Nicely done!
what happens to the Pokémon's brain and consciousness? can you capture the hybrid?
piplup2009 no, because the human part is not a Pokemon like pikachu ash. a pokeball works like magearna.
Haruhi Suzumiya well
But what about the Pokémon's brain/consciousness though?
night shroud96 I assume that the human mind and Pokémon mind would like fuse and they would have to be linked sort of like pacific rim
@@raviothethief8292 I believe the 2nd chapter lightly touches on it, how Ryouga said "If I continue like this, this body won't hold out much longer... That goes for me... and you." I assume the "you" is Zekrom within the crystal
I haven't read much further past there
Mature character development was what I really loved about the XY chapters of the Adventures manga. It actually dealt with depression in a serious and realistic way. I'd say the Adventures manga (in its entirety) is the most adult Pokémon story we'll ever get or need.
How about a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon video with the new one coming out soon?
Yeah, he could do that. Other than the top 10 pokemon spin-offs he never really talked about PMD. It is a really good games (exept GtI) and it has some really dark moments. SPOILER ALERT!!!
like for example when everybody wants to kill you cause of surpesticion (PMD1) or when the main character dies (PMD2).
I would like that because I'm currently replaying pmd explorers of sky

If you want to see something that turned a kids show into an adult show, watch Legend of Korra. The first season starts like the original avatar and the last season literally involves hitler and ethnic cleansing.
***** It was marketed as a children's show when it was on tv
***** Korra wasn't all that, i feel like it didn't flow as well as Aangs story and as such was more annoying to follow. you can't say the emotion was better in korra as that isn't true, case in point season 2 Earth finale.
Korra could have been great but ends up being more fan fiction than a continuation of the story.
***** Don't forget implied lesbian relationships.
Also, the first season was already really mature, what with the social unrest and suicide and all that.
Avatar the Last Airbender touched on a lot of mature subjects that most shows don't touch. Can you imagine AtLA by 4Kids.
***** In one episode Bolin was evading capture with a group of escapees from a concentration camp where they were killing all water and fire benders.
Like:
- Should a guy who transformed into a pokemon-fusion fight actual pokemon?
- Should a guy who transformed into a pokemon-fusion be allowed to breed with pokemon?
- Are there people who actually fear people who transform into pokemon-fusion, so much that they want to outlaw and discriminate them?
- Could to much usage of the fusion have negative effects?
- Does the goverment have actual policemen or armies to take down pokemon-fusion going rogue?
- How expensive are those stones so you can transform into a pokemon-fusion? Do you have to be among the 5% richest people in the world?
Hell, even stupid ideas would be fine like:
- Can pokemon-fusions learn more than 4 moves?
- Will a person who transforms into a pokemon-fusion still be able to use HM's when they transform back unless they visit a certain person?
- Can Pokemon-Fusions evolve?
There could be muuuuuuuuch more, but it's no use: they didn't choose to use their brain to make a good manga, so why should I?
Or what about: "Can someone who fuses with Kyurem also become Black/White Kyurem? And if so are there any side effects?"
Nurse Valentine
If the writers did answer those questions, they'd probably do something like:
- Should a guy who transformed into a pokemon-fusion fight actual pokemon?
More often than not, the answer is "yes", and it'd be hilarious to see what kind of slurs people would come up with for pokemon-fusions
- Could to much usage of the fusion have negative effects?
Nurse Valentine How would a ditto fusion work?
WanderingAsura I love the term 'eldritch abomination'. 'Eldritch Horror' already sounds awesome as hell, but that's just a new level of mind-numbing, nightmare inducing, badassery.
Nurse Valentine hentai name please
also to answer the could they evolve. from what I've seen from book 1 all fusions are at the end of the evolutionary chain.
Personally, I've always had the idea of the legendaries losing their powers and reverting into a weaker, human state by Arceus as a result of their violent and chaotic actions. With this weaker power, they learn to rely on other people and Pokemon and even gain humility along the way.
Yooooo that's an amazing idea! I love the idea of legendaries turning into humans.
I actually like the gjinka idea, the only real thing I'm disappointed with is the fan-service, but it's Japan, expect it.
Why the hell would that be disappointing?
"Straight male teenage boys"? Does that mean there exist female teenage boys as well? And does that mean there exist male and female teenage *girls* as well?
TS, bro. TS.
J.Jones What does that mean? "That's stupid" or something? Because I wouldn't blame you for thinking that...

YES!! I can't wait for the new game. I thought Gates to Infinity was a 43 dollar waste...
AleZelda Did it really costs that much? Holy fuck...
ReBurst,
Just in case the first Burst wasn't Bursty enough.
I love digimon when they did that, I just discovered that Pokémon also did this which is a fresh breathe of air from the usual Pokémon stuff :)
I hate the way people use the term "fan service"
Fan service is suppose to be a good thing!
TheNinjaCrash Its not pandering either
The if it’s not fan service, then it has to be fanfiction
Digimon frontier Pokémon style.
Yes and this is the closest I got so I am a little satisfied.
Not enough mecha forms
Yeap, it's more like Digimon Frontier, then Digimon Xros Wars/Fusion. :)
At least Frontier had character development, its kinda said that this failed.
desdar100 i like frontier
If anything Pokemon ReBurst kinda stole from Digimon Frontier, not Digimon XRoss Wars. It still looks interesting, just because it's generic it doesn't make it bad.
@Arruda sometimes, maybe?
@Arruda like, the story can be generic, but, if excecuted well, it could turn out to be actually good!
And, my personal favorite:
5) Write about the Gym Leader process.
Kazo the Hedgehog If we're talking Darkrai killing a girl in BW2 type of dark then no, nothing wrong with being afraid.
I would much prefer a mystery dungeon than z or a kanto remake.
+Panda Plays Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon, not gonna be a disappointment like Infinity Gates from the looks of it.

Clefairy has two tongues.....
ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED
I love how to this day, the only proof that this manga exist is this old video from Jwittz
2:36 Eh, I’d say it’s more digimon frontiers than fusion, you know the one with humans actually becoming digimon.
Leo Deping Chen Thank god the main games don't have that.
Could've been worse. They could've called it PokeFormers.
*MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE*
Or even Pokémon Frontier(this is just Digimon Frontier but Pokémon)
4:44 BEYBLADE POKEMON CONFIRMED
I was gonna write a different comic than this one to be a joke but the auto correct turned naruto to Mario. XD
It would make any protagonist unlikable in my eyes.
ew275x
Well, Hareta is really just a kid. If Hareta was in an older age group, that sort of behavior would almost definitely come across as underhanded.
secretasianman108
Yeah but a kid protecting his pet by slapping or hitting another person's pet makes you a dick, even if it's something like a Charizard. Maybe if the trainers supported their pokemon more and the opponent was helping their pokemon or disrupting the human opponent it would be better.
Have a trainer give aura to his lucario or a trainer using an UV light to help a venusaur or making the battles less about combat skills and emphasizing other skills like cooking or completing an obstacle course.
ew275x I guess when you put it that way, yeah the kid's a douche.
Hmm, maybe I should reread the mange with this perspective in mind.
I think it would be better if they had to do a specific dance to achieve fusion. There should also be a time limit depending on the power of the form.
Nobody:
Literally no one person living on this god forsaken plane of existence:
Japan: PoKeMoN fUrRiEs!
I love REBurst. I've read what I can find online. I love it too much honestly.
I made Gijinka OCs before and after reading this.
If this was an anime, y'all would love it
Nope, shittacular manga= worse anime.
CJ Skittlez nope. Case and point: Tokyo ghoul.
CJ Skittlez thousand times no
Gijinka is pronounced with a "guh" sound for the letter G, like grand or great.
2:31 And that's where i lost my breath
The the MALE protagonist that turned to erm....Zekrom.......if your gay.......you can.......
Narutske Umazachi
Lol who are you talking to?
I really wish this got an english translation
Jwittz's opinion seems pretty spot on from what ive seen but my god do i love the action in this
I'd honestly just read it so i could see more of that action
SuperSaiyanLink2464 Same here. I also like some of the character designs and think the fusion idea is pretty neat. It's just a shame that the characters and plot are rather generic and that there's too much fanservice.
Glad to see some good old classic Jwittz stuff with pokemon facts n stuff. Can't wait to see more.
2:31
You got the wrong Digimon. You're looking for Digimon Frontier not that Digimon Fusion
I love this mango :))))
I like mangos too! 😂
Mangoes for days:)
MojoTheMinecraftian i ate 3 mangos few hours ago. I love mangos
MojoTheMinecraftian Me too, mangoes are life!
MojoTheMinecraftian i prefer plums
I liked Pokemon ReBurst so much, it is sad to see that I’m pretty much alone in this club
I liked Digimon Frontier =/
James Sinn Yeah, Digimon Frontier is my second favorite season. To me, it had some of the best character development in the series, and they really had to work for their victory over the Royal Knights. Takuya and Kouji got their asses handed to them over and over again, and they had to slowly get stronger each time to finally win. Who cares that they turned into Digimon? Why is that any dumber than little kids running around with Digimon partners and basically being nothing but a big battery for them. It's a different dynamic, but that doesn't make it worse.
BloodPrince130 tamers is best yo scrub
So Reudig That's why I said Frontier is my second favorite. For me, it's Tamers, Frontier, Adventures, Adventures 02, Xros Wars, and Savers at the bottom of my list.
James Sinn Its not like digimon is bad, its just fusion is shit.
Sean Ryan Are you talking about Frontier or Digimon Fusion, the dub name for Xros Wars?
I read it, It just seemed too much like Digimon to interest me.
poyokirby season 4 maybe. but yeah
Trey Mancil Even Digimon Frontier was better, much much better than ... this
Same here
poyokirby I haven't read it, but I grew up on Digimon and Pokemon equally...I don't recall Digimon having much fanservice in it tbh. Guess even oldschool digimon was more Mature than...whatever this is.
PortraitofaDream It had some fanservice, but most of it was cut in the dub versions (though the fanservice in the first 3 series can be counted with one hand)
Dude, Finnaly a Video that talks about a Pokemon manga that isnt Adventures, Thank you!
Some people think Pokemon Sun and Moon are going to have this human+Pokemon fusion, but honestly i thought it
Well we might have that Ash-Greninja thing, but I think that is as close as we're going to get. Hopefully...
And yet here we are a year later with lusamine
Well, they were right! Not in the way we expected but it still happened!
Are you sure this is a Pokemon product? FATHER'S? GROWING UP!?!? WHAT IS THIS
Honestly the fusion part could be interesting like how in digimon frontier with some spirits it was a struggle to control their monster or some form was too powerful to use until they found something / whatever plot. Maybe even if they try the idea again a Pokémon could be too powerful and take over the fused form where the hero would have to beat the Pokémon to free the person.
In short the idea isn't a bad one but it sounds like it's just too generic in this story.
Pokémon: The Cliché series. Seriously, just from the video, I can see why the series died out.
Wait when did it die out?(Unless you are from an apocalyptic future this comment makes no since)
Bololorg I believe he is talking about this manga specifically not the whole pokemon series.
Calabahala oh, ok now that makes since.
Bololorg No they are both from the future sent back to ensure the destruction of the Pokemon Franchise
I followed them back to stop them
Don't believe a word they say they will lead you astray
Captain LagSpike lol
Digimon Tamers also had human + Digimon fusions (Gallantmon rocks)
Ok I like the idea of human x pokemon fusions but put it in the wrong hands and you'll have some guy mixed with a gaurdivour or loupuny
XD
JWolfeAotI Pokken Tournament is a spin off game made by Bandai.
Digimon is made by Bandai.
...
YOU MAY BE ONTO SOMETHING!
The same thing cant goes to digimon,Digimon is more like Youkai Watch or YuGiOh now (looking at Applimonster)
no yokai watch came way after digimon plus applimonster dosn't really assemble ether of those series
I would say that Applimonster is more of a Digimon/Megaman Battle Network fusion.
This reminds me of how the jwittz is supposed to be.
His Name is Ryouga? So That's what happened after he disappeared from Bey Blade, He came to Pokemon.
I'll stick with Pokémon Adventures and Digimon Fusion thank you very much
God no, the original Digimon series plz
Ricko Marr No way, the original Digimon series has aged horribly
nah I still prefer, the fusion thing worked out for me.
@@Dracomut
The subbed version aged like a fine wine
Unfortunately said wine is still badly crafted and tastes like... Motor oil
good job pokemon, do the thing that made everyone hate digimon, monster fusing with humans, whats next? pokemon robots? pokemon super saiyen? pokemon shinigami? pokemon fusing together?
Fusing with Pokemon don't make sense for me.
It just dumb.
it is fucking dumb, digimon already tried it and it sucked major balls
and not pokeballs
Pokémon fusing together already exists in the form of Kyurem though. Besides, you can't say that it wouldn't be a good idea so long as it stays in a spinoff title.
how does that work? as long as its spinoff bad ideas are okay?
a monster pet and human fusion is a bad idea whether its pokemon or not
see digimon for the worst example
luke V I just said that expanding on the concept of fusions between two Pokémon would work for a spinoff title but not for a main series game. I'm not talking about fusions between Pokémon and Trainer, which sounds like a horrible idea.
The Fusion thing actually sounds pretty cool to me. I have always found the concept of fusion interesting.
Are you sure this is pokemon? (shows a lilipup's leg) maybe, maybe
in digimon fusion (xros wars) there is no human digimon fusion or at least not that I remember I think you are thinking for digimon Frontier or digimon tamers
well, it may not be that great a manga, but there Is Daimond and Pearl adventures(not pokemon adventures, it's different). it's an all ages pokemon manga that follows lucas-sorry, HARETA, a boy who was raised by pokemon. check it out!
Also the plot twist is intense, isn't it?
Oh no, the anime/manga has blatant fanservice!
Wait, are people actually surprised at this? That's like the go-to option when you have nothing better to draw
Now I'm curious about- What'd you call it? Jenga?
Gijinka
MrServantRider Hey the Anthropometric ones like catgirls and things like that are awesome T_T especially when they're cute and you just wanna squeeze them
MrServantRider The second and the third paragraphs made me change my mind. Thanks.
Adam VanDerHoeven I don't blame you, but if you're interested in that kind of stuff where it isn't sexual it IS there. It'll be a lot like the manga discussed in this video I think.
Hey you know about the ghost girl in X and Y yeah....I played Pokemon Black and in Marvelous bridge there is a girl that if you touch her she disappeares and a guy says
Huh...Wha...
D-did she just disappear?
After that if you talk to an old lady she says that a girl used to play with her abra there
but if you leave and talk her without seeing the girl the old lady says
Marvelous Bridge is really mind bogging!
So I am taking a rest!
even if you talk to her again at the same time she wont say about the girl that was playing with her abra before Marvelous bridge was build
(After talking to the girl it takes a day or two to come again)
Gotta hate 'em all!
ReBurst!
Nah
Looks like it could've been better the idea of humans fusing with pokemon is cool but it has to be done right
Wow! Reburst, I've gotta read it! I was waiting so long for something like humanization to happen in Pokemon!
So you want a Pokemon version of Yu-Gi-Oh 5d's...?
Walter Kelusky pokemon battles on motorcycles!
euducationator I think that would involve a lot of road kill.
its more like digimon frontier than fusion
Just a guy carrying a mountain. How is he doing that?
Unless it was actually stated as a series for mature audiences, I'm not sure why you would assume that a shounen series would have a deep story and other mature themes. I would assume it was aimed teenage boys, not 20 year-olds like you said.
"A more mature take on the Pokemon universe."
"So you mean Pokemon Adventures/PokeSpecial, right? I mean that had really interesting, serious arcs, particularly in the G/S and R/S/E inspired arcs, and it also drew heavily on the games for inspiration in a way few, if any, others did-"
"No I kinda meant one with boobs."
"...i'm done with you."
Demosthenes6666 To be fair there is a bit of fanservice in Pokemon Adventures.
Not on that tier there ain't.
He probably means dark themes that would make the age rating 16+, and much darker then adventures
i know Jwittz didn't want a manga with boobs.
It was pretty funny but it was also dark as hell!
+MalevolentDivinity Maxie is revealed to have survived since he reappears in Pokémon OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire Adventures Chapter.
You know, I love fusion.
Leppa cool
Haha! I’m a huge transformers fan so to hear the theme playing was pretty great! Love your stuff!
*_Well then_*
I love digimon frontier. best intro ever.
Actually, I did read it. And not a fan.
Prince Tirek Me too.
Prince Tirek Not me
Me too, but I am a fan.
I'm a fan but I dunno why there is a gap for the English translation. ..
