You can’t imagine how many people I’ve told to watch your videos!lol! I’m almost done with your series. I’m already making a list of videos I plan to watch again. You have no idea how much I’ve learned. I try to learn a new skill once a month. This has been my favorite!
What a terrific and unquestionably great video. Totally thought out and with any potential misinterpretations clearly explained. 5 Stars. Think you should be right up there with Ammo and Jim white, different but very refreshing. Love from the uk Mark
Bravo again Sandro. I just watched the hour-long video and didn't want it to end. The time you take to explain your every move just shows that you have paid enough attention to what someone watching would want to see and hear. Thank you for your dedication to the content you put out. The transformation of this vehicle was great as well, I know the owner was smiling from ear to ear.
I just commented about your Alfa Romero ...Stunning! The craftsmanship on the Mazda is Brilliant!! Before and After shots shows your professionalism and Patience! I’m a detailer in heart and so are you Sir! I appreciate your time and effort showing your impeccable skills! I’m a subscriber no doubt ... From California
An old fashioned new clay bar would have made for a dramatic before and after shot! I was looking forward to that! 😁 Dirty clay bars are like train wrecks.. horrible and terrifying but impossible to look away.. 😊👍👌✌
Just wow. You really took your sweet time and did an outstanding job. 56 minutes? I was like nooooo keep going!!! This was like watching a show on Netflix! Excellent attention to detail and also excellent that you said what you were doing, what you were using, and why. Keep up the great work!
i started watching thinking it'd be another video with 45 minutes of needless talking and 15 mins of actual content; here i am an hour later, feeling its only been 10 minutes and left wanting more. A most satisfying video and I can think of nothing to complain about; well done :-)
Now this is the best car detailing u tube channel out there barr none, forget AMMO NY after all his uploads not one older car jobs, other than his rich friends who pay him to do a small job of paint correction and nothing like this before and after and a real car thats driven everyday and not a ferrari or lambo which sits inside most of the time and then gets a detail and gets put back inside again ? o
My Main Man!!!! You are a true genius and person with God gifted talent in paint correction as well as detailing in general. I have been learning from you so much that you cannot imagine. I wish I could be in Australia to be your apprentice and download all that experience into my brain and arms. If you ever visit Canada I would like to personally meet you, to me you are a living legend and a true artist in paint correction. Love every bit of your technique and I apply them to my customers here with the exception that I cannot find products like Nova in Canada. Keep doing great work, keep producing quality videos and keep yourself safe and healthy. I enjoyed watching this half and half video like my favourite movie.
Now if only you had your business in Canada..... Damn, you can really tell how much the detail helps with all of the micro scratches and trim. Clears it all up. How long does a headlight polish/ restoration like this last before it needs done again usually?
A bit of a long video for most people but that’s to be expected with such a good explanation of what you did in every step that you took thanks for the great information and keep the videos coming
Great idea!! I actually did this with my works van and used for advertising, it worked so much that I had the local media approach me. Brilliant work though!!!!
Sandro got to say the quality of your work and product knowledge is really top notch, just a thought would one of them rubber wedges that are used to keep doors open cut down to put into the door handle to help you polishing by not having to keep a hold of it, ....
Excellent video as always, normally don’t watch a video this long without getting bored/ distracted but this was worth it! But I did wonder - are you going to do the other half at some point? 😅
Hands down the best video ever on youtube about Car detailing! The finish of the car its just amazing, the difference between the right and left side of the car is night and day. Sandro you're getting better and better, and I'd put you up there with some of the very best auto detailers in the world. You're explanation of the different ideas must surely be the best available on youtube. If you could possibly explain in writing in the comments section what worked and what didn't, its sometimes hard going through the whole video and taking notes or remembering what you said when. There is a plethora of information in the video. Any chance of briefly summing it up in writing? Your videos are so informative a brief summation in writing would be awesome.
Hi Sandro, I recently got a paint depth guage, I was curious yet reluctant to polish my mazda without it (same paint colour as the one in this video) After doing a decontamination wash and clay bar, I measured the paint with similar paint measurements to what you had on this Mazda. The highest was about 150 microns (on the front fender) and the lowest being 65 microns (on the roof between the sunroof and windscreen), so a lot of variation, I presume due to the car sitting out in the sun the clearcoat has begun to wear away in previous years. Without this tutorial I wouldn't of have known how thin this paint was and i truly thank you for posting such detailed videos old and new. I tried a few test sections to find that carpro ultracut with a rupes yellow wool pad worked perfectly for the moderate swirls and light oxidation although not removing waterspot etchings but restoring excellent gloss. Just thought it'd be helpful to share my experience inspired from your videos.
True. Our Cx-5 had a small chip\scrtch and paint looked noticeably thinner or 'different' than any recent car I've had. All not Mazdas. So thin looking that seemed like had no clear coat.
Yet again a fantastic video. Thanks for sharing your explanations extremely clear understand and extremely professional some of the best videos I have watch on you tube to date. Your results say it all!!!!!
This is something I’ve always been wanted to see done! This has got to be one of the best detailing videos I’ve ever seen - extremely well put together, informative and interesting. Just a quick question... do you have any tips on products and methods for correcting and polishing Chrome? I’ve heard it can’t really be done.
Another great video. Transformation was really quite amazing. Would have loved to see the reaction of your friend after he saw what you did to his ride. Probably had a whole new appreciate for your work.
Hey Sandro! 👋 I just wanted to say what unfathomably great work you are doing with your videos on here and it's clear to see how endlessly helpful and truly appreciated your hard work is! I can watch your content endlessly and find it so helpful but also satisfying and entertaining! I'm in awe of your masterful craftsmanship and level of skill! It's incredible to witness! I'm wondering if you might be able to take the time to give me some quick advice. I have a 2020 Mazda mx5 with basically the same paint as this car. It has very minor washing swirls from before I bought it and I'm looking to correct it to a near perfect standard and then protect it as best I can. I've been looking into how would be best to handle this paint as I know its notoriously thin. Am I right in understanding that it is thin but pretty much medium hardness? I will be looking at using a similar approach to what you have taken on the original panels of this car, starting testing with the least aggressive approach possible. I wonder if you could advise me as to what protection you think might be better after I get it to a standard I'm happy with. I'm not sure as to whether to go for a full blown coating like Gyeon Mohs topped with some NV Lustre and Jet for extra depth, saturation and slickness. Do you think it's worth going for the coating or just going straight ahead with Lustre and Jet and topping up accordingly My logic is that I'm only really trying to protect it from careful maintenance wash induced defects and I may not get much more protection from the extra foundation coating and am worried that if I do have to do something like an isolated random deep scratch removal in the future I'll be able to do this easier if I'm using lighter sealants without having to remove a full coating of a panel through compounding which may pose more of a risk taking into account the very thin paint I have to work with. What would your approach be to ensure a sensible amount of protection that would be the safest and most efficient way of going about things? I can't think of anyone whose advice I would trust as much as yours so thought I'd reach out. I appreciate how busy you are and understand if you can't help me but fingers crossed you can drop me just a line or two of your sage wisdom to help me on my way. Love you man! Wishing you all the best and sending you gratitude and Love from the UK! 👍
Appreciate the nice feedback mate, and it sounds like you’ve though about what’s most important to you in protecting the finish yet still being able to more easily address future defects. So in this case I do feel sticking to spray coatings like Lustre and/or Jet is going to be better suited to your goals. With a more long term coating you’re best just living with minion defects as they occur throughout the coatings life span and then correcting them once you remove the coating and before reapplying it.
Another great tutorial, very informative and great channel to learn more....the only thing I don't like every time I finish to watch your videos go online and buy more tools, lol
Watching all of your compound testing on the hood, and taking into account the incredibly thin paint; were you not afraid of removing too much clear? Haven't finished the video so maybe you apply new clear, but I was just wondering.
Hi sandro, I saw how good those hubcaps came out in the comparison at the end, also love your work, you have definitely inspired me to use correct methods and some of the best car care products to safely and easily detail my parents cars. I was wondering how did you remove the dirt and grime from the hubcaps? did you polish it or was it done during the decontamination stage?
Great to hear mate! You may have missed it but I actually took the hub caps home, sanded them back and repainted them as the paint itself on the caps was already failing
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Tedious but top quality from you as always. My parent's mazda's have the same flakey paint as seen in this video on the hub caps. I thought a respray would be necessary but it's something I don't feel condfident enough doing yet, I'll leave it to the professionals. Thanks for the quick reply and keep posting great videos.
Thanks for this. It was a most informative and interesting project to watch. I so wish I could find a professional car detailer near me in UK anywhere close to being as good as you clearly are. I have a Mazda 6 Estate Sport which has a lovely paint colour which I would love to see dealt with like this. And I recently bought a gorgeous Russo Red Audi TT 3.2 Quattro which though in great condition I know could be transformed by such a treatment. I have wondered about doing the work myself (hence watching loads of videos like this) but I keep ending up feeling I should leave this job to a professional. Needless to say I have subscribed to your channel.
I tried using Meguires Ultimate Compound by hand application on my TT bonnet and wiped straight off with a MF cloth. Should I have used a spray of 'something' first? I then used Mequires Ultimate liquid wax, but did not polish like you like. That is just my ignorance and inexperience. I am wondering if I should get myself a DA polisher but then I think I should just go to a professional. Any thoughts?
Ahh that Nano Polisher to get out the scratches from keys!! Brilliant. Sandro what would a complete Paint Correction like this cost from a Detailer such as yourself?
This video was super helpful. I have a 2017 Mazda 6 with the same color paint. The bonnet has light scratches which are probably self induced (garage kept, try to be careful 😩). I have found these to be very difficult to remove (LC orange cutting pad, Meguires UC improved matters but not perfect). I have a paint thickness gauge on the way. Wondering how much clear u ended up removing with you combo of Last Cut, MF cutting pad? You started out with 75 microns on the bonnet, what did u end up with? Thx a ton!
Great to hear the video was helpful. It’s extremely difficult to gauge before and after paint thickness readings because paint varies in thickness so drastically even in the same panel. A paint thickness gauge should really be used to get an idea of whether it’s safe or not to correct paint and how aggressive you can be, rather than measuring how much your removing - which is near impossible to do unless you get very aggressive with sanding or heavy compounding. If I had to guess how much I removed I’d say it was just a free microns maybe 2-4 at best. The thing to not is that burning through clear coat almost always happens on panel body lines and edges, so try and be less aggressive in those areas.
@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thx for answering my question, much appreciated. BTW, your channel is fabulous. I'm binge-watching your 100-hour detail on that white Nissan and am very grateful for the number of tips and observations you provide.
I may have missed it Sandro, but what pads/compounds were you using on the tail lights Sandro? They're generally thinner/softer than the headlights I'm guessing? Out of all your fantastic videos, this one has to be in my top 3. Great work mate.
at 9:00, Is that the typical way you clean engine bays? Are you not worried about having electrical issues with all the water that you're putting in there? I would clean them like that in a heartbeat versus my current method, but I'm always worried about the electrical stuff as I've heard many people having issues with this. I always enjoy watching your vids because I will sometimes pick up different ideas and techniques from them, so thanks again!
Enjoyed it. I bought an Autotriz polisher and learned about it from you. What a handy tool. In your experience, is there a great benefit from layering coatings for greater durability and how many are too many? Curious why you didn't use CarPro Essence as a final step on the paint before coating since you used it on the glass? Thanks for the education.
What are the inspections lights you are using? I have seen your hand held quickly a few times as well a light on a stand behind you reflecting in the paint. The one on the stand is sometimes on and sometimes off. Thanks :)
Just nice.
I've just sat and watched the whole thing without taking my eyes off the screen, so informational! A job well done, this deserves more views!

Can you polish and detail my entire career? 😂
What are the inspections lights you are using? I have seen your hand held quickly a few times as well a light on a stand behind you reflecting in the paint. The one on the stand is sometimes on and sometimes off. Thanks :)
Really nice work.
Wow what a difference even before cleaning and coating.. Did the owner freak out? I would have said do the entire car now! LOL
Awesome. Wonder how long the Nova Pro lasts.
3 years plus is what I like to generally predict it’s life
