Hey Alex this is unrelated, but I spent dozens of hours watching your programming videos & was wondering for the guy who’s bench, squat, & DL are all about the same, say 300ish, should he just drop pressing lifts until his lower body lifts are around 400?
Hey Alex, could you do a video on intensifying after the volume accumulation phase vs deloading. I don’t really know what question to ask but just your thoughts on it. For example your block program has 3 weeks up volume build up then 3 weeks of volume going down and weight up. (Which is kinda like a heavy duty deload I suppose) compared to your other programs that have the volume build up for 3 weeks tben the 4th starts off lighter and with less sets usually depending on the program
If strongman was a team sport, I would keep him on the bench until he hit 80 years old, just to watch him go on the pitch the last 5 minutes, and score, to really bring home the win.

There aren’t enough grip focused events in strongman. Grip is the foundation of strength and our most basic form of strength. When was the last time you saw a really heavy set of farmers for decent distance?
True but it’s just so dependent on hand size. You could just measure the guys hands and that would be close to the event results. All sports obvs are partially genetic but grip is so extreme in that way it loses its competitive interest.
