My friend Ernie the guitarist gave me permission to share that many years ago he had cancer and it resulted in a lingering condition called lymphedema whereby his leg swells and doesn't process fluid right. So he has to keep it wrapped to keep the fluid from pooling, kinda like how a G-suit works for a fighter pilot.
