I've been sending your overview video to people I am going to play this with. Gets the basics down quick.

i love the game, played it a lot already. still forget to use endurance tokens as paying currency :-) good tip: always read the tactics of a faction before you start ;-)

Do you still plan to do other videos for The Edge: Dawnfall?

Looks very cool. I'd like to see a 2v2 battle (or even a free-for-all, though those tend to be unfair), but I would just love to see a bunch of you play against the "A.I." of the game (I like co-op games, probably more than competitive ones).

We'll be getting to some videos of those different game modes in the near future. We haven't a chance to try those other modes yet but we're looking forward to it!

This game is so great. Me and my brother play it all the time…
I wish they did a better job of advertising this…

While i'm at it, i spotted another small error: when a card grants you an AOE attack that checks for hit, unless stated otherwise by the card, you make a single roll for all affected models. Also tell the poor Brian that he is either extremely unlucky or a bit of a scrub, the dvergar are the worst faction to use against rha-zack, as they all have low initiative while all of the rha-zack squads have cards that allow them to check for it :P :P

Ahh yes I good call on that rule as well...thanks! As for Brian's game...yeah it was pretty rough on him, haha. He was a good sport though and he understood there was a lot to learn. He'll play much better next time I'm sure.

so the game has 6 factions but you can pledge and get 10 CONFLICT BOXES. whats the point of that?
and where can i buy the game with ALL available content?

You placed the crystal sources and shrines wrong. They have to be at least 2 spaces aways from each other, not 1.

    • @boardgamereplay
      @boardgamereplay  6 лет назад

TheSimoRome those placements are correct to my knowledge. Looking at the example of movement at the top of page 10 it shows that when measuring distances between spaces you start with the space you’re on and then count as you move to other spaces. So while there may be only 1 empty BETWEEN those shrines, they are two spaces apart per the rules.
Did you see an example of it shown otherwise?

      RANGES & DISTANCE
Q: How does the Range of attacks and abilities work? Is Range 1 the same as
      “one Space away”?
A: This is described in the “Range” section on Page 11 of the Rulebook. But
to reiterate: this game refers to distances in two different ways. There’s the Range
rule, and then there are natural descriptions found within the rules and scenarios,
such as “same Space”, “adjacent Space” or “2 Spaces away”.
That’s because using “Ranges” when describing unit deployment or board
setup would be very confusing AND “Range” always includes all Spaces within a
      circle of specific radius.
Range 0 means the source of ability and the target both have to be within the
      same Space.
Range 1 means the target can ALSO be in any adjacent / neighboring Space.
Range 2 means there may be up to 1 full Space between the Space containing
the source of the ability and the Space containing the target. This is exactly what
we call “at least 1 Space away” during deployment - e.g. at least one full Space of
separation between object A and object B.
In short, the scale goes as follows: Range 0 (same Space), Range 1 (+ neighboring
Spaces), Range 2 (+ targets up to 1 Space away), Range 3 (+ targets up to
2 Spaces away), and so on.

This if from the FAQ, as you can see what were you doing was putting shrines and source in range 2, not 2 spaces away. If you want to use range then they need to be at range 3, which is 2 spaces away.

is this coming to retail or KS exclusive?

    • @boardgamereplay
      @boardgamereplay  6 лет назад

It's not a KS exclusive game but the publisher hasn't confirmed how they'll handle the actual "retail" availability in the future. They have told me that they will likely sell the game on their website and / or launch another Kickstarter though. Again they were a little hesitant to confirm exactly how the game will be available going forward, but the game itself is certainly not a one and done Kickstarter!

I emailed them asking the same question and they said that most likely won't have any extra inventory but they plan to do another Kickstarter at some point early next year.

beautiful miniatures, but only that, there are very unbalanced features which makes it boring to play and becomes monotonous.
I played it several times and I did not have fun in any of it due to the imbalance.
