I just spent a month on Surigao and felt vary safe there ,,,, like anyplace bad stuff goes on after dark and one just needs to stay smart .... I would walk around in the Philippines alone before walking around most towns or city's here in the USA

Im a Mexican-American living in Mindanao (Cagayan de Oro city) amd i feel pretty safe there. I respect all the Filipinos where i live and i have many friends there. But i dont trust many people and thats just me. My head is on a "swivel" meanin im always watching my back. I usually dont travel or walk around at night and if i do i take a few of my Filipino friends with me. They too respect me a lot. And well i feel safe there in your country.

Interesting video. I guess each person must define “safety” for himself. While the provinces are certainly safer from the standpoint of violent crime, provided that as a tourist you stay out of trouble, the disadvantage is the distance from health facilities. Personally, I am more worried there about getting sick or injured and unable to reach medical care in a timely manner.

Bicol is super duper extra safe. I’ve been there before, never had an issue. I’m from Mexico 🇲🇽, don’t let my name and surname mislead you lol.
Saludos to my Filipinos and Filipinas brothers and sisters!

Nice video, just a note: the so called sign of peace it actually means broken cross, anti Christian. You can find it online about it…

Safety is very subjective. Many Filipinos have told me don’t go here or there but rarely have I had a problem. Once I was removed from a bus at gunpoint in Mindanao but that was only because the soldier couldn’t speak English and that was the easiest way to get me to do what he wanted. Just use common sense and always be alert and aware of your surroundings.

Exellent interview. I like Catherine, she seems very mature and clever, all shy but huble and kind and evne though she has an ugly shirt on I'd say she's very cute indeed.
